Here’s how to make a paperclip heart!

We’ve been sharing kindness crafts this month to go along with a magazine article called “Just Be Kind.”

Here’s another one to try!

Paperclip Heart

Materials:

All you need are colorful paperclips.

Instructions:

1. Hold the paperclip sideways. The end with the smaller gap should be pointed to the right.

2. Hold the left side in place and twist the smaller gap on the right upwards. The right gap should now look like the right half of a heart. But it’s not symmetrical! We’ll fix that in the next step.

3. Continue holding the left side in place and twist the right side behind itself. The end of the paperclip will now be at the top.

4. If needed, press on either side of the paperclip heart, so the middle is closer together. Or separate the middle so there is room to put more pages.

5. Share your cute paperclip with someone! It could be attached to a nice note or used as a bookmark to remind them that they are loved.
