“He vakai, ʻe hoku kāinga, ʻoku tuku kiate kimoutolu ke mou fakamāuʻi, koeʻuhí ke mou ʻiloʻi ʻa e leleí mei he koví; pea ko e founga ke fakamāuʻí, ʻoku mahino-ngofua, koeʻuhí ke mou ʻilo ai ʻi he ʻilo haohaoa, ʻo hangē ʻoku faikehekehe ʻa e ʻahó mei he pō fakapoʻulí.

“He vakai, ʻoku foaki ʻa e Laumālie ʻo Kalaisí ki he tangata kotoa pē, koeʻuhí ke ne ʻiloʻi ʻa e leleí mei he koví; ko ia, ʻoku ou fakahā kiate kimoutolu ʻa e founga ke fakamāú; he ko e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku fakaafeʻi ke faileleí, pea ʻoku fakalotoʻi ke tui kia Kalaisí, ʻoku ʻomai ia ʻi he mālohi mo e foaki ʻa Kalaisí; ko ia te mou faʻa ʻiloʻi ai ʻi he ʻilo haohaoa ʻoku tupu ia mei he ʻOtuá. . . .

“Pea ko ʻeni, ʻe hoku kāinga, ko e meʻa ʻi hoʻomou ʻiloʻi ʻa e maama ʻa ia te mou faʻa fakamāuʻi ʻakí, pea ko e maama ko iá ko e maama ʻa Kalaisí, tokanga ke ʻoua naʻa mou fakamaau taʻetotonu” (Molonai 7:15–16, 18; ko e tānaki atu hono fakamamafaʻí).

ʻOku fakatou fakamoʻoni ʻa e ongo palōfitá ko e Maama ʻa Kalaisí ʻokú ne ʻomi ʻa e ʻilo haohaoa ki he moʻoní. Naʻa mo e kakai ʻo māmaní ʻoku nau ʻiloʻi ʻoku nau ongoʻi ʻa e totonú mei he halá. ʻOku nau fakahaaʻi ʻa e ʻilo ʻo e Maama ʻa Kalaisí ʻi he fakaʻaongaʻi ʻo e foʻi konisēnisí, ʻa ia ʻoku maʻu mei he foʻi lea faka-Latina ko e conscientia, pe “ʻiloʻi ʻi loto.”2

Hangē ko e tuʻunga moʻui leleí, ko hono ako ia ʻo hono fehangahangaí, ʻo e puké mo e mahakí: tauʻatāiná, ko e ako ʻo e fakamoʻulaloaʻí mo e pōpulá; fiefiá, ko e ako ia ʻo e mamahí; pea pehē ai pē. Pea hangē ko e kiʻi mana ʻo e fireflies, ʻoku ʻikai fakahoungaʻi ʻa e māmá taʻe ʻi ai ha fakapoʻuli.

Pea meí a Pilikihami ʻIongi: “ʻOku fakamoʻoniʻi ʻa e moʻoni kotoa pē mo fakahaaʻi ʻe honau fehangahangaí.”5

Ko e Siviʻi ʻo e Tuí

ʻI hoʻomou fakakaukauʻi fakalautelaú, ʻoku totonu ke fakamahinoʻi atu ki homou ʻatamí mo homou lotó, ʻe he Maama ʻa Kalisi ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolú, ko e ʻulungaanga faka-Kalaisí ʻoku fakafiefia ka ʻoku fakamamahi hono fehangahangaí:

Ko ha niʻihi pē ʻeni ʻo e ngaahi ʻulungaanga faka-Kalaisi lahi, ka ʻoku feʻunga ke ne fakahaaʻi mahino ʻa e lelei ʻo e tenga ʻoku siviʻí.

Te mou lava ke fakatokangaʻi ʻi hoʻomou fakakaukauʻi ʻa e lisi ko ʻení, kuo mou fakatokangaʻi ʻa e mālohi, moʻoni, mo e fakafiefia ʻo e ʻulungaanga takitaha, fakalautelau, ʻi ha ngaahi “aʻusia mahino” ʻe lauiafe. ʻOku haʻu ʻa e fua lelei kotoa pē mo hono founga fakamoʻoniʻi mo fakapapauʻi—mo hono ifo! Ko hono fakamoʻoniʻí ʻoku ʻi hono kaí, ʻo e fua ki he fua mo e ʻotu laine ki he ʻotu laine, takitaha ʻi he “ʻilo haohaoa.” Mahalo ko e ʻuhinga ia ʻa e ʻAposetolo ko Paulá ʻi heʻene pehē, “ʻAhiʻahiʻi ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē; puke ke maʻu ʻa ia ʻoku leleí” (1 Tesalonika 5:21; ko e tānaki atu hono fakamamafaʻí). Ko e Siviʻi ʻo e Tuí—Tuʻunga Hokó

Naʻe akoʻi kitautolu ʻe Palesiteni Dieter F. Uchtdorf ʻoku tau tupulaki ʻi he māmá: “[Ko e lahi ange fakahehema hotau lotó mo ʻetau fakakaukaú ki he ʻOtuá, ko e lahi ange ia ʻa e taumalingi mai ʻa e maama fakalangí ki hotau laumālié].”6

“Pea ko ia ʻokú ne maʻu ʻa e māmá, pea fai atu ai pē ʻi he ʻOtuá, te ne maʻu ʻa e maama lahi ange; pea ʻe tupulaki ʻa e maama ko iá ʻo ngingila ange kae ʻoua ke aʻu ki he ʻaho haohaoá” (T&F 50:24).

ʻOku ʻikai fie maʻu ia ke u talaatu ʻoku fakalahi ʻe he maama lahi angé ʻa e vīsoné—ʻoku mou ʻiloʻi ia. Naʻe pehē ʻe he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá, “[Ko e ofi ange ʻa e tangatá ki he haohaoá, ko e maama ange ia ʻo ʻene fakakaukaú, mo e lahi ange ʻene fiefiá.]”7

ʻI heʻetau maʻu ʻa e maama lahi ange ke sio ʻakí, tau hiki ʻa e siví ki he tuʻunga fakasilesitialé, pea fakafehoanaki ha niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi tokāteline ʻoku makehe ki he Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi ʻo e Kau Māʻoniʻoni ʻi he Ngaahi Aho Kimui Ní mo ia ʻoku maʻu ʻi he ngaahi feituʻu kehe ʻi ha maama ʻoku poipoila angé:

ʻOku fakatupu ʻilo lahi ʻi he fakafehoanaki ʻa e moʻoní mo hono fehangahangaí. ʻOku tokoni ʻo fakamahino ʻa e meʻa totonú, ʻa ē ʻoku fufuuʻi ʻi he ʻataʻatāloá. ʻOku tau fakatokangaʻi ta ʻoku tau ʻilo ha meʻa lahi ange ʻi he meʻa ne tau fakakaukauʻí. ʻOku totonu ke ne ueʻi kitautolu ke tau hoko atu ʻo “[fekumi faivelenga ʻi he maama ʻa Kalaisí … pea … pīkitai ki he meʻa lelei kotoa pē]” (Molonai 7:19).

“ʻOku Monūʻia ʻa Kinautolu ʻOku ʻIkai Mamata, kae Tuí” (Sione 20:29)

Tau vakaiʻi muʻa ha tafaʻaki mālie ʻe taha ʻo e tuí mo e fakamoʻoní.

ʻOku mahino kiate kitautolu mei he Ko e Fakahinohino ki he Ngaahi Folofolá ko e “tui [moʻoní] kuo pau ke fakavaʻe ʻia Kalaisi ka ne lava ʻo taki ha taha ki he fakamoʻuí. …

“[Oku] kau ai ʻa e ʻamanaki lelei ki he ngaahi meʻa taʻe hā mai, ka ʻoku moʻoni [ vakai, Hepelū 11:1].”8

ʻIkai ʻoku mālie ʻene hoko ʻa e tui kia Sīsū Kalaisí ko e “tui taʻe mamata” kae kehe ʻa e tui ia ʻa e māmaní, ko e “mamata pea toki tuí.”

ʻOku ʻilo ʻe he tangata fakakakanó ʻa māmani ʻi he ʻekea ʻe he ngaahi ongo ʻe nimá ha fakamoʻoní. Ka ʻoku fonu ʻa e folofolá ʻi he ngaahi sīpinga ʻo kinautolu naʻa nau maʻu ʻa e fakahā mo e mālohi mei he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá, tuʻunga ʻi he ngaahi ongo ʻe nimá, kae ʻikai pē ului moʻoni:

  • Naʻe mamata ʻa Leimana mo Lemiuela ki ha ʻāngeleo (vakai, 1 Nīfai 3:29). Naʻá na fanongo ki he leʻo ʻo e ʻEikí naʻá ne “valokiʻi fefeka” kinauá (1 Nīfai 16:39). Naʻá na ongoʻi ʻa e mālohi ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻi he fakamafao atu ʻe Nīfai hono nimá pea “luluʻi ʻa kinaua ʻe he ʻEikí” (1 Nīfai 17:54). Naʻá na kai mo nāmuʻi: “Te u ngaohi ke melie ʻa hoʻomou meʻakaí koeʻuhí ke ʻoua naʻa mou haka pe tunu ia” (1 Nīfai 17:12). Neongo ʻa e ngaahi fakahā kotoa ko ʻeni ʻi he ngaahi ongo ʻe nimá, naʻe kei fakafepaki pē ʻa Leimana mo Lemiuela. Naʻe hoko ʻapē ʻa e mamatá ke na tui ai?

  • ʻI he taki ko ia ʻe Mōsese ʻa e fānau ʻo ʻIsilelí mei ʻIsipité, naʻa nau siotonu ʻi he tauteá, pou-afí, mavaeua ʻa e Tahi Kulokulá, kai ʻi he maná—ʻaki ʻa e ngaahi ongó ʻe nima kotoa. “Pea neongo naʻe taki atu ʻa kinautolu, ka naʻe muʻomuʻa ʻiate kinautolu ʻa honau ʻEiki ko honau ʻOtuá, ko honau Huhuʻí, ʻo tataki ʻa kinautolu ʻi he ʻahó, mo foaki ʻa e maama kiate kinautolu ʻi he poʻulí, mo fai ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē maʻanautolu ʻa ia naʻe ʻaonga ke maʻu ʻe he tangatá, ka naʻa nau fakafefeka pē honau lotó mo fakakuihi honau ʻatamaí, mo lea kovi kia Mōsese pea ki he ʻOtua moʻoni mo moʻuí” (1 Nīfai 17:30). Ka naʻe ʻikai ke nau tui ʻi heʻenau mamatá!

  • ʻOku lahi ha ngaahi sīpinga tatau mo ia ʻi he folofolá, ka ko e sīpinga fakalelea-loto tahá ko e tuʻunga fakalaumālie ʻokú ne fakasītuʻaʻi ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ʻi Hono ʻaó. “He kuo fai ʻe ia ʻa e mana lahi ʻi honau ʻaó, ka naʻe ʻikai te nau tui kiate ia” (Sione 12:37; vakai foki, T&F 138:26).

ʻoku ʻomai ia ʻi he mālohi mo e foaki ʻa Kalaisí” (Molonai 7:16). ʻOku ʻi ai maʻu pē ʻa e Maama ʻa Kalaisí! ʻOku mou maʻu fakaʻaho ia. Pea mei he ngaahi fanafana ko ʻení, mei he “ngaahi meʻa īkí [,] ʻa e ngaahi fuʻu meʻa lalahi” (T&F 64:33).

“ʻI he Mālohi ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní Te Mou Lava ai ke ʻIloʻi Hono Moʻoni ʻo e Meʻa Kotoa Pē” (Molonai 10:5)

ʻOku mou ʻilo hono toengá—ʻo e fakatomala ʻa ʻAlamaá mo ʻene ngāue fakafaifekaú.

Ko e mamatá naʻe tui ai ʻa ʻAlamaá? ʻIkai! Ko e hā hono ʻuhingá? He naʻe pau ke toki ngāueʻaki ʻe ʻAlamā ʻene tauʻatāina ke filí ʻi heʻene ʻilo ʻi he ako mo e tuí ka naʻe teʻeki ke lotu ke ne ʻilo ʻa e moʻoní. Ko e mamatá ʻoku ʻikai ko ha halatuʻusi ia ki he tuí pe ko ha fakamoʻoni, hangē ko ʻene hāʻi he ngaahi sīpinga lahi ne u toki fakalau atú. ʻOku fakamatalaʻi pē ʻe ʻAlamā ʻa e founga ʻo e maʻu ʻene fakamoʻoní, pea ʻoku ʻikai ke ne tuku ia ki he hā mai ʻa e ʻāngeló. Ko hono moʻoní, ʻoku ʻikai ha lave ia ʻe taha ki he ʻāngeló ʻi heʻene fakamoʻoní:

Pea ko ʻeni ʻoku ou ʻiloʻi ʻe au ʻoku moʻoni ia; he kuo fakahā ia ʻe he ʻEiki ko e ʻOtuá kiate au ʻaki Hono Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní; pea ko e laumālie ia ʻo e fakahā ʻoku ʻiate aú” (ʻAlamā 5:45–46; ko e tānaki atu hono fakamamafaʻí).

ʻE lava ke hoko ha “fafangu” mo ha liliu taimi nounou mei tuʻa ki loto, ʻi he ngaahi ongó ʻe nima, ka ʻoku taimi nounou maʻu pē, hangē ko Leimana mo Lemiuelá. ʻOku toki lava pē ke maʻu ha fakamoʻoni tuʻuloa mei loto ki tuʻa, ʻi he ako ʻe ha taha ʻi he ako pea mo e tui ʻo tō ʻe he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ʻa e ongoongoleleí “ʻi honau lotó, mo [tohi] ʻi honau laumālié” (Selemaia 31:33).
