Seeking Personal Revelation

Receiving personal revelation can be different for each of us, but the Book of Mormon helps us understand that God is willing to guide us whenever we sincerely seek Him.

Articles

  • The Spirit of Revelation.” In this general conference address, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles uses examples of light to help us better understand how we personally receive revelation.

  • How to Obtain Revelation and Inspiration for Your Personal Life.” In this general conference address, Elder Richard G. Scott (1928–2015) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explains the difference between revelation and inspiration and how to receive both.

  • Our Search for Truth.” In this New Era article, Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explains how to find truth and receive revelation through the Holy Ghost.

  • Praying to Our Father.” In this Friend article, President Henry B. Eyring testifies that God answers prayers.

Lessons from the Jaredites’ Crossing

Like the Jaredites crossing the ocean to travel to the promised land, we will all have trials to face. Although those trials may sometimes be difficult, we can rely on Christ, as well as friends and family, for comfort, support, and strength.

Created in God’s Image

Although most of us know that we are children of God, sometimes we forget that we are literally made in His image. He has a body of flesh and bones, just like us. Why is knowing you were made in God’s image important?
