“Dressmaker Spring!” Friend, May 1975, inside front cover
Dressmaker Spring!
New clothes! New clothes, world!
Dressmaker Spring has unfurled
Her lengths of satin and silk and wool.
With tingling, light fingers she can pull
Yards and snippings and patches of green
Over the bare spots, till the sheen
Of tender color covers all.
Her trimmings are blossoms—bright, shell-curled.
Dressmaker’s here! New clothes, world!
