“Ring-Around Round,” Friend, Aug.–Sept. 1980, inside back cover
Ring-Around Round
Round, round
Is a lovely sound
When round is a drum
That I can pound.
Round, round
Is small and pale
When round is a snail
Or a bunny’s tail.
Round is a marble,
Round is the moon,
Round is my mouth
When I whistle a tune.
Round is a penny,
Round is a cup,
And round is the cookie
I just ate up!
