Trying to Help Like Jesus
The prophet says that the Lord loves effort, so I try to be like Jesus by helping when I see a need. When we were home during the quarantine, I helped my mother make a little school for my two youngest brothers, who have autism. I made small assignments and helped them.
I follow Jesus by attending church and doing the things I learn in Primary and in home evening. I try to be nice to others, even though it’s hard sometimes. I am a good example to my friends at school by not swearing. I try to learn from my mistakes. I pray for any inspiration and strength that I need. I know that when I pray, I will get an answer and the Holy Ghost will confirm it by making me feel warm inside.
Prayer is a good way of helping others. When my grandfather was at the hospital and we didn’t know what was wrong with him, I prayed for him. Then my father got a phone call saying that my grandfather would be OK. I was so happy, and my grandfather could feel that I prayed for him. We don’t always get answers so quickly, but I know that God will help us be calm while we wait.
