Ruth
“Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.”

She married an Israelite man and followed God.

When her husband died, she didn’t want to leave Naomi, her husband’s mother.

She went to Bethlehem with Naomi. Later she married a righteous man named Boaz.
Boaz
“So [he] took Ruth, and she was his wife.”

He was a good man. He was kind to Ruth.

He saw Ruth gathering scraps of food in his field. He gave her more food.

He and Ruth married and had a baby. They were ancestors of Jesus Christ.
