England is a country in Western Europe. It’s part of the United Kingdom. More than 50 million people live there.

Early Pioneers

The first missionaries came to England in 1837. Many people were baptized and then traveled to the USA. Now there are almost 150,000 Church members in England!

The English Language

The writer William Shakespeare was from England. He invented hundreds of English words. Today, nearly 1.5 billion people speak English.

A Royal Home

England has hundreds of castles. Windsor Castle was built in the 11th century and is the oldest castle with people still living in it.

Getting around London

London, England, is the capital of the UK and one of the biggest cities in Europe. It has lots of tall red buses to help people get around.

Two Beautiful Temples

England has temples in Preston and in London.

Just Roll with It!

People in Gloucester, England, have a fun tradition. Each year, they roll a wheel of cheese down a hill and chase after it. The first person to reach the bottom wins the cheese.

You can do your own kind of race. Roll two balls down a hill. Which ball gets to the bottom first? Try counting the seconds it takes to get there.

Staying Strong

Cheese is made from milk, which has lots of calcium. You need calcium to keep your teeth and bones strong! You can also get calcium from leafy greens, tofu, nuts, beans, and other foods.

Veg and Egg Muffins

1. Beat 4 eggs together.

2. Mix in some chopped vegetables (like spinach, peppers, and broccoli). 

3. Oil a muffin tray and pour some of the egg mixture into each cup.

4. Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top of each muffin.

5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 mins.
