Meet Elder Patrick Kearon

Patrick Kearon

Elder Patrick Kearon is the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles! He was born and raised in England. He and his family also lived in Saudi Arabia while his father had a job there. He was called as an Apostle on December 7, 2023.

As a young adult, Elder Kearon met some missionaries in London from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but wasn’t interested in their message. Later, the missionaries started teaching him about the gospel and he felt the Holy Ghost. While he was learning more about the Church, Elder Kearon received a priesthood blessing. He said it was a beautiful experience that helped him decide to join the Church. He got baptized on Christmas Eve when he was 26 years old.

Elder Kearon and his wife, Jennifer, have four children. Their first child died as a baby. This was a very sad time for Elder and Sister Kearon. But it helped strengthen their faith in the resurrection and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Elder Kearon was called as a General Authority Seventy in 2010. He loves seeing Church members help people in need all around the world.

Elder Kearon is grateful for the plan of salvation. He knows that even during hard times we can always feel the love of Heavenly Father and the Savior.
