Temple Cards

Kirtland Temple

  • This was the first temple built after Jesus Christ’s Church was restored.

  • On Easter Sunday in 1836, Jesus Christ visited Joseph Smith in the Kirtland Temple.

  • When the temple was being dedicated, angels appeared!

Helsinki Finland Temple

  • When this temple opened, it served members from 12 different time zones!

  • Estonian, Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Russian are all spoken in this temple.

  • The big spire on the temple is 147 feet (45 m) tall and made of copper.

Hong Kong China Temple

  • President Hinckley woke up one night and drew a sketch that the temple department used to build the temple.

  • In 1996, it was dedicated to be “a sanctuary of peace” in a busy city.

  • This temple is five stories tall.
