Ko hono Maʻu ha Hūfangaʻanga ki he Ngaahi Faingataʻa ʻo e Moʻuí

Ko Sīsú Kalaisi mo ʻEne Fakaleleí ʻa e hūfangaʻanga ʻoku tau fiemaʻu kotoá, neongo pe ko e hā ʻa e ngaahi faingataʻa ʻokú ne fepalekina ʻetau moʻuí.

ʻI he kongaloto ʻo e ngaahi taʻu 90, lolotonga ʻeku kei ako ʻi he kolisí, ne u ngāue ai ʻi he Kulupu hono Fā ʻo e Potungāue Tāmate Afi ʻa Sanitiakó ʻi Sileí. ʻI heʻeku kei ngāue aí, ne u nofo ʻi he fale tāmate afí ko ha konga ʻo e kau leʻo he poʻulí. ʻI he fakaʻosinga ʻo e taʻú, naʻe talamai kuo pau ke u ʻi he fale tāmate afí ʻi he efiafi kimuʻa he Taʻu Foʻoú koeʻuhí ʻoku meimei ke ʻi ai maʻu pē ha fakatamaki ʻi he ʻaho ko iá. Ne u ʻohovalé, ʻo pehē ange, “Moʻoni?”

ʻOku ou manatuʻi ʻeku tatali mo hoku kaungā-ngāué ʻi he taimi ne kamata ke fai ai e fakapā ʻoné, ʻi he tuʻua poó, ʻi he loto kolo ʻo Sanitiakó. Ne mau kamata feʻiloaki mo fetalamonūʻaki ki he taʻu foʻoú. Ne fakafokifā e tatangi e fafangu ʻi he fale tāmate afí, ko hono fakamahino ʻoku ʻi ai e fakatamaki ʻoku hoko . Ne mau toʻo ʻemau meʻangāué ʻo heka ki he loli tāmate afí. ʻI heʻemau fononga atu ki he fakatamakí, ʻo fakalaka atu he haʻofanga kakai ne nau fakafiefiaʻi e taʻu foʻoú, ne u fakatokangaʻi ne ʻikai pē haʻanau teitei hohaʻa pe tokanga mai. Ne nau fiemālie pē mo fiefia ʻi he pō māfana ko iá.

Ko e ngaahi faingataʻa fakatuʻasinó, fakaeʻatamaí, fāmilí mo e fakaengāué; ngaahi fakatamaki fakaenatulá; mo e ngaahi meʻa kehe ʻo e moʻuí pe maté, ko ha konga pē ia ʻo e ngaahi sīpinga ʻo e ngaahi matangi te tau fehangahangai mo ia he moʻui ko ʻení.

ʻI heʻetau fehangahangai mo e ngaahi matangi ko ʻení, ʻoku tau faʻa aʻusia ai e ngaahi ongo ʻo e siva ʻa e ʻamanakí pe ilifiá. Naʻe pehē ʻe Palesiteni Lāsolo M. Nalesoni, “Ko e tuí ʻa e faitoʻo ʻo e ilifiá”—tui ki Hotau ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí (“Tuku Ke Hā Hoʻomou Tuí,” Liahona, Mē 2014, 29). ʻI heʻeku vakai ki he ngaahi faingataʻa kuó ne uesia e moʻui ʻa e kakaí, te u pehē neongo pe ko e hā ha matangi te ne fepalekina kitautolu—pea neongo ʻoku ʻi ai hano fakaleleiʻanga pe ikuʻanga pau—ʻoku taha pē ʻa e hūfangaʻangá, pea ʻoku tatau ia ki he ngaahi faingataʻa kotoa pē. Ko e hūfangaʻanga ko ʻeni ʻe taha ne ʻomi ʻe heʻetau Tamai Hēvaní, ko hotau ʻEiki ia ko Sīsū Kalaisí mo ʻEne Fakaleleí.

He ʻikai ke hao ha taha ʻo kitautolu he fehangahangai mo e ngaahi matangi ko ʻení.

ʻE lava ke hoko ha meʻa ʻe ua ʻi heʻetau mamahí. ʻE lava ke hoko ia ko ha aʻusia fakamālohia mo fakahaohaoa fakataha mo e tuí, pe ko ha mālohi fakaʻauha ʻi heʻetau moʻuí kapau ʻoku ʻikai ke tau tui ki he feilaulau fakalelei ʻa e ʻEikí” (“Your Sorrow Shall Be Turned to Joy,” Ensign, Nov. 1983, 66).

Ko e lava ko ia ke tau fiefia ʻi he hūfangaʻanga ʻoku ʻomi ʻe Sīsū Kalaisi mo ʻEne Fakaleleí, kuo pau ke tau tui kiate Ia—ko ha tui te ne fakaʻatā kitautolu ke tau mavahe hake mei he ngaahi mamahi ʻo ha ʻilo ʻoku fakangatangata mo fakamāmani. Kuó Ne talaʻofa mai te Ne fakamaʻamaʻa ʻetau ngaahi kavengá kapau te tau haʻu kiate Ia ʻi he meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku tau faí.

He ʻoku faingofua pē ʻeku haʻamongá, pea ʻoku maʻamaʻa ʻeku kavengá” (Mātiu 11:28–30; vakai foki, Mōsaia 24:14–15).

ʻOku tala ʻo pehē “ʻoku ʻikai ke toe fie maʻu ha fakamatala, kiate ia ʻokú ne maʻu ʻa e tuí. He ʻikai ke malava ʻo fakamatalaʻi e tokotaha ko ia ʻoku ʻikai haʻane tuí.” (This statement has been attributed to Thomas Aquinas but is most likely a loose paraphrase of things he taught.) Ka neongo ia, ʻoku fakangatangata ʻetau mahino ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku hoko heni ʻi he māmaní, pea ʻoku ʻikai ke tau faʻa maʻu e ngaahi tali ki he fehuʻi ko e hā hono ʻuhingá. Ko e hā ʻoku hoko ai ʻení? Ko e hā ʻoku hoko ai ʻeni kiate aú? Ko e hā ʻoku totonu ke u akó? ʻI he taimi ʻoku ʻikai ke tau maʻu ai ʻa e ngaahi talí, ko e taimi ia ʻoku ʻuhingamālie taha ai e ngaahi lea ne folofola ʻaki ʻe hotau Fakamoʻuí ki he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá ʻi he Fale Fakapōpula Lipetií.

“ʻE hoku foha, ke ʻi ho laumālié ʻa e melinó; ʻe kiʻi fuofuoloa siʻi pē ʻa hoʻo faingataʻaʻiá pea mo hoʻo ngaahi mamahí;

Pea ʻe toki hakeakiʻi koe ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻi ʻolunga ʻo kapau te ke kātakiʻi ia ʻo lelei” (Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 121:7–8).

Neongo ʻoku tui ha kakai tokolahi kia Sīsū Kalaisi, ko e fehuʻi mahuʻingá pe ʻoku tau tui nai kiate Ia pea ʻoku tau tui nai ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻokú Ne akoʻi mo kole mai ke tau fakahokó. Mahalo ʻe fakakaukau ha taha ʻo pehē, “Ko e hā ʻoku ʻafioʻi ʻe Sīsū Kalaisi fekauʻaki mo e meʻa ʻoku hoko kiate aú? ʻOku fēfē ʻEne ʻafioʻi e meʻa ʻoku ou fie maʻu ke u fiefia aí?” Ko hono moʻoní, ko hotau Huhuʻí mo e Fakalaloá naʻe ʻuhinga ki ai e palōfita ko ʻĪsaiá ʻi heʻene pehē:

“ʻOku fehiʻanekina ia pea liʻaki ʻe he tangatá; ko e tangata ʻo e ngaahi mamahi, pea maheni ai mo e loto mamahí. …

Ko e moʻoni kuó ne toʻo kiate ia ʻa ʻetau ngaahi vaivaí, ʻo ne fua ʻetau ngaahi mamahí. …

Ka naʻe kafo ia koeʻuhi ko ʻetau ngaahi maumau-fonó, naʻe fakavolu ia koeʻuhi ko ʻetau ngaahi angahalá; naʻe hanga ʻe he tautea naʻá ne fuesiá ʻo toe ʻomi ʻa e melinó kiate kitautolu; pea ko e meʻa ʻi hono ngaahi kafó kuo tau moʻui ai” ( ʻĪsaia 53:3–5).

Naʻe akonaki mai foki e ʻAposetolo ko Pitá fekauʻaki mo e Fakamoʻuí, ʻo pehē, “ʻA ia naʻá ne fua toko taha pē ʻi hono sino ʻoʻoná ʻetau ngaahi hiá ki he ʻakaú, koeʻuhí ʻi heʻetau tauʻatāina mei he angahalá, ke tau moʻui ki he māʻoniʻoní: pea ko e meʻa ʻi hono ngaahi taá kuo mou moʻui” (1 Pita 2:24).

Neongo ne tuʻunuku atu e taimi ʻo e mate fakamāʻata ʻa Pitá, ne ʻikai ha ilifia pe teteki ʻi heʻene ngaahi leá; ka, naʻá ne akonaki ki he Kāingalotú ke nau “fiefia,” neongo ne nau “mafasia ʻi [ha] ngaahi ʻahiʻahi lahi.” Naʻe faleʻi kitautolu ʻe Pita ke tau manatuʻi ko e “ʻahiʻahiʻi ʻo [ʻetau] tuí, … [neongo ko e] ʻahiʻahi ia ʻaki ʻa e afi,” ʻe iku ia ki hano “fakamāloʻia mo e ongoongo lelei mo e nāunau ʻi he fakahā mai ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí” pea ki he “fakamoʻui ʻa [hotau] laumālié” (1 Pita 1:6–7, 9).

Ne hoko atu ʻa Pita ʻo pehē:

“ʻE kāinga, ʻoua te mou ofo ʻi he ʻahiʻahi vela ʻa ia ʻe ʻahiʻahi ʻaki ʻa kimoutolú, ʻo hangē kuo hoko ha meʻa foʻou kiate kimoutolú:

Kae fiefia, ko e meʻa ʻi hoʻomou kau ʻi he ngaahi mamahi ʻa Kalaisí, koeʻuhí ʻo ka fakahā mai hono nāunaú, te mou fiefia foki ʻaki ʻa e fiefia lahi ʻaupito” (1 Pita 4:12–13).

Naʻe akonaki ʻa Palesiteni Lāsolo M. Nalesoni ʻo pehē, “ʻE lava ke fiefia e kāingalotú ʻi ha faʻahinga tūkunga pē. … ʻI hono tukutaha ʻetau tokangá he palani ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he fakamoʻuí, pea mo Sīsū Kalaisi mo ʻEne ongoongoleleí … te tau lava ʻo ongoʻi fiefia ʻo tatau ai pē ko e hā e meʻa ʻoku hokó—pe ʻikai ke hoko—ʻi heʻetau moʻuí. ʻOku haʻu ʻa e fiefiá meiate ia pea koeʻuhí ko Ia. Ko Ia e tupuʻanga ʻo e fiefia kotoa pē” (“Fiefiá mo e Moʻui Fakalaumālié,” Liahona, Nōvema 2016, 82).

Ko e moʻoni, ʻoku faingofua ange ke lea ʻaki e ngaahi meʻá ni ʻi he taimi ʻoku ʻikai ke tau ʻi he uhouhonga ai ʻo ha faingataʻa , ʻi hano moʻui ʻaki mo fakaʻaongaʻi kinautolu lolotonga e faingataʻá. Ka ʻi heʻeku hoko ko homou tokouá, ʻoku ou fakatauange ʻoku mou lava ʻo ongoʻi ʻeku fie vahevahe moʻoni mo kimoutolu e mahuʻinga fau ke tau ʻilo ko Sīsū Kalaisi mo ʻEne Fakaleleí ʻa e hūfangaʻanga ʻoku tau fie maʻu kotoá, neongo pe ko e hā e ngaahi faingataʻa ʻokú ne laiki ʻetau moʻuí.

ʻOku ou ʻilo ko e fānau kotoa kitautolu ʻa e ʻOtuá, ʻokú Ne ʻofa ʻiate kitautolu, pea ʻoku ʻikai ke tau tuenoa. ʻOku ou fakaafeʻi kimoutolu ke mou omi ʻo mamata ʻokú Ne lava ʻo fakamaʻamaʻa hoʻomou ngaahi kavengá pea hoko ko e hūfangaʻanga ʻokú ke fekumi ki aí. Haʻu ʻo tokoni ki he niʻihi kehé ke maʻu e hūfangaʻanga ʻoku nau fakaʻamuá. Haʻu ʻo nofo mo kimautolu ʻi he hūfangaʻanga ko ʻení, ʻa ia ʻe tokoni atu ke ke matuʻuaki ai e ngaahi faingataʻa ʻo e moʻuí. ʻOku ʻikai ha veiveiua ʻi hoku lotó kapau te mou omi ʻo mamata, te mou vakai, te mou tokoni, pea te mou nofo.

Naʻe fakahoko ʻe he palōfita ko ʻAlamaá e fakamoʻoni ko ʻení ki hono foha ko Hilamaní: “ʻOku ou ʻiloʻi ʻilonga ʻa kinautolu ʻe falala ki he ʻOtuá ʻe tokoniʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻi honau ngaahi ʻahiʻahiʻí, mo honau ngaahi tuʻutāmakí, mo honau ngaahi mamahí, pea ʻe hiki hake ʻi he ʻaho fakaʻosí” ( ʻAlamā 36:3).

Naʻe folofola tonu ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ʻo pehē:

“Tuku ke fiemālie ʻa homou lotó … ; he ʻoku ʻi hoku nimá ʻa e kakano kotoa pē; ke mou fakalongolongo, pea ʻiloʻi ko e ʻOtuá au. …

“Ko ia, ʻoua te mou manavahē ʻo aʻu ki he maté; he ʻoku ʻikai ke kakato ʻa hoʻomou fiefiá ʻi he māmani ko ʻení, ka ʻoku kakato ʻa hoʻomou fiefiá ʻiate au” (Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 101:16, 36).

ʻOku ʻi ai ha pōpoaki fakafiemālie ki hotau ngaahi laumālié ʻi he himi “Be Still, My Soul [Nonga ʻe Hoku Lotó],” ʻa ia kuó ne ueʻi hoku lotó ʻi ha ngaahi meʻa lahi. ʻOku peheni hono fakaleá:

[Ke ke fiemālie pē: he ʻoku vave pē ʻa e taimi

Te tau nofo fakataha ai mo e ʻEikí ʻo taʻengata,

Pea ʻe mole atu ʻa e taʻefiemālié, mamahí mo e ilifiá,

Pea ngalo e mamahí, kae hoko mai e fiefia haohaoa ʻo e ofá.

[Ke ke fiemālie ā: ʻi he ʻosi e liliú mo e mamahí,

Kuo hao mo faitāpuekina kotoa, te tau toe feʻiloaki pē”.] (Hymns, no. 124)

ʻI heʻetau fehangahangai mo e ngaahi faingataʻa ʻo e moʻuí, ʻoku ou ʻilo kapau te tau fakahoko hotau lelei tahá mo falala kia Sīsū Kalaisi mo ʻEne Fakaleleí ke hoko ko hotau hūfangaʻangá, ʻe tāpuekina kitautolu ʻaki ha nonga, fiemālie, mālohi, kātaki, mo e melino ʻoku tau fekumi ki aí, mo ha loto fakapapau ʻi he fakaʻosinga hotau taimi ʻi he māmani ko ʻení, te tau ongona e ngaahi lea ʻa e ʻEikí: “Mālō, ko e tamaioʻeiki lelei mo angatonu: … hū koe ki he fiefiaʻanga ʻo hoʻo ʻeikí” (Mātiu 25:21). ʻI he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻēmeni.
