Fakakaukauloto ki ha Moʻui Kuo Fakatapui

Ko e lavameʻa moʻoni ʻi he moʻui ní ʻoku maʻu ia ʻi hono fakatapui ʻetau moʻuí—ʻa ia ko hotau taimí mo ʻetau ngaahi filí—ki he ngaahi taumuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá.

Elder D. Todd Christofferson

ʻI heʻeku kei siʻí, ne u ʻaʻahi ki he Fakaʻaliʻali ʻa Māmani ʻi Niu ʻIoke Siti he 1964. Ko e taha e meʻa ne u saiʻia aí ko e tēniti ʻa e Siasí ne ʻasi ai e taua ʻo e Temipale Sōlekí. Ko e fuofua taimi ia ke u sio ai he faiva ko e Man’s Search for Happiness. Naʻe ongo moʻoni kiate au mo ha kau ʻaʻahi tokolahi hono fakamatalaʻi ʻe ʻEletā Lisiate L. ʻĒveni ʻa e palani ʻo e fakamoʻuí. Ko ʻeni e ngaahi meʻa ne lea ʻaki ʻe ʻEletā ʻĒvení:

“ʻOku foaki ʻe he moʻuí ha meʻaʻofa mahuʻinga kiate koe—ko e taha ko e taimí, pea ko e tahá ko e tauʻatāina ki ho taimí. ʻOkú ke tauʻatāina ke fetongi ho taimí ʻaki e fiefiá. Te ke lava ke fakafetongi ʻaki ia ha meʻa taʻeʻaonga.ʻE lava ke fetongi ʻaki ia e manumanú. …

“ʻOkú ke tauʻatāina ke fili. Ka ʻoku ʻikai ko ha fakafetongi ia ʻoku lelei, he ʻoku ʻikai ha fiemālie tuʻuloa ai.

“Kuo pau ke ke taliui ki he ʻaho, houa, mo e miniti kotoa pē ʻo hoʻo moʻui matelié. Pea ko e moʻuí ni ke ke ʻaʻeva ai he tuí pea fakamoʻoniʻi ʻokú ke lava ke fili e leleí mei he koví, ʻa e totonú mei he meʻa halá, pea ʻoku tolonga e fiefiá kae ʻikai ko e vaʻingá. Pea ko ho tāpuaki taʻengatá ʻe makatuʻunga ia ʻi hoʻo filí.

“Ko ia pē ʻe maʻu ai e fiefia moʻoní, ʻa e fiefia he ʻikai ke ngata ia he ʻosi ʻa māmaní.”1

ʻOku ʻomi ʻe he fakamatalá ni ʻa e moʻoni ʻo e moʻui he māmaní ko hano tauhi pē ʻo e taimí mo e ngaahi fili ne tuku mai ʻe hotau Tupuʻangá. ʻOku fakamanatu mai ʻe he foʻi lea ko e fatongia tauhí ʻa e fono ʻa e ʻEikí ki he fakatapuí (hangē ko ʻení, vakai, T&F 42:32, 53), ʻa ia ʻoku ʻi ai hono fatongia fakaʻekonōmika, kae mahulu angé, ko hono fakahoko ia ʻo ha fono ʻo e puleʻanga fakasilesitiale ki he moʻui ní (vakai, T&F 105:5). Ko e fakatapuí ko hono fakamavaheʻi pe tekaki ha meʻa ke toputapu, ʻo tuku taha ki he ngaahi taumuʻa māʻoniʻoní. Ko e lavameʻa moʻoni ʻi he moʻui ní ʻoku maʻu ia ʻi hono fakatapui ʻetau moʻuí—ʻa ia ko hotau taimí mo ʻetau ngaahi filí—ki he ngaahi taumuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá (vakai, Sione 17:1, 4; T&F 19:19). ʻI heʻetau fai ʻení, ʻokú Ne hiki ai kitautolu ki hotau ikuʻanga māʻolunga tahá.

ʻOku fakalotolahiʻi kitautolu ʻe he ʻEikí ʻaki e ngaahi leá ni ʻi he ʻofa moʻoni, “Fakatomala, ʻa kimoutolu ʻa e ngaahi ngataʻanga kotoa pē ʻo e māmaní, pea haʻu kiate au ʻo papitaiso ʻi hoku hingoá koeʻuhí ke fakamāʻoniʻoniʻi ʻa kimoutolu ʻi he maʻu ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, koeʻuhí ke mou tuʻu taʻe-ha-mele ʻi hoku ʻaó ʻi he ʻaho fakaʻosí” (3 Nīfai 27:20).

Ko ia ai ʻoku ʻuhinga e fakatapuí ki he fakatomalá. Kuo pau ke tuku e loto fefeká, fakafepakí, mo e fakaʻuhingá, kae fetongi ʻaki e talangofuá, loto ke fakatonutonu, pea tali e meʻa kotoa ʻoku finangalo ki ai e ʻEikí. Ko e meʻa ia naʻe ʻuhinga ki ai e Tuʻi ko Penisimaní ke liʻaki e tangata fakakakanó, talangofua ki he ngaahi fakahinohino ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, kae hoko ko ha “tangata māʻoniʻoni ʻi he fakalelei ʻa Kalaisi ko e ʻEikí” (Mōsaia 3:19). Pea talaʻofa ki he taha ko iá ke ne maʻu maʻu pē ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, ko ha talaʻofa ke manatuʻi pea fakafoʻou he taimi kotoa ʻoku toʻo ai ʻe ha taha ʻoku fakatomala ʻa e sākalamēniti ʻo e ʻohomohe ʻa e ʻEikí (vakai, T&F 20:77, 79).

Naʻe fakamatalaʻi ʻe ʻEletā B. H. Lōpeti: “Ko e tangata ʻoku ʻaʻeva he maama mo e poto pea mo e mālohi ʻo e ʻOtuá, ʻe ʻi ai e taimi, ʻi he feohi ko iá, te ne maʻu ʻe maama mo e poto pea mo e mālohi ko ia ʻo e ʻOtuá—ʻo huluni e ngaahi huelo ngingila ko iá ko ha seini fakalangi, ʻo fakafehokotaki ia ki he ʻOtuá pea mo e ʻOtuá kiate ia ʻo taʻengata. Ko [ʻeni] e folofola fakaofo ʻa e Mīsaiá, ‘ ʻO hangē ʻokú ke ʻiate aú, ʻe Tamai, mo au ʻiate koe’—ko e tumutumu ia e meʻa ʻe malava ʻe he faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá.”2

Ko e moʻui fakatapuí ko ha moʻui faʻa ngāue. Ne kamata ʻa Sīsū ke fai e ngāue ʻa ʻEne Tamaí ʻi Heʻene kei siʻí (vakai, Luke 2:48–49). ʻOku lāngilangiʻia e ʻOtuá ʻi Heʻene ngāué ʻi hono fakahoko mai e moʻui taʻe-faʻa-mate mo e moʻui taʻengata ʻa ʻEne fānaú (vakai, Mōsese 1:39). Oku fakanatula pē ʻetau loto ke kau fakataha mo Ia ʻi Heʻene ngāué, pea ʻi hono fai iá, ʻoku totonu ke fakatokangaʻi ko e ngāue lelei kotoa pē ko e ngāue ia ʻa e ʻOtuá. ʻI he lea ʻa Tōmasi Kālailá, “ʻOku toputapu ʻa e ngāue lelei kotoa pē; pea ʻoku ʻi ai ha meʻa fakalangi ʻi he ngāue lelei kotoa pē kapau ko e ngāue ʻaki ho nimá. Ko e ngāue lelei kotoa pē ʻe maʻu ai ha tāpuaki ʻi Hēvani.”3

Ko e fokotuʻutuʻu ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he moʻui matelié ni ke ngāue taʻetuku. ʻOku ou manatuʻi e lea ʻa e Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá, “Pea naʻa [mau] lava ʻo maʻu ha ngaahi meʻa feʻunga ke tauhi ʻaki ʻa kimautolu ʻi he ngāue taʻetuku” (Siosefa Sāmita—Hisitōlia 1:55). ʻOku tau fakatupulaki mo hokohoko atu e moʻuí ʻi he ngāué. ʻOku tokoni ia ke fakanonga e loto foʻi mo e hohaʻa ʻoku maʻu he moʻui matelié. ʻOku maʻu mei he ngāue mālohí ʻa e ongoʻi tāú. ʻOku fakatupulaki mo fakamāsilaʻi ʻe he ngāué e ʻulungāangá, fakatupu e matamataleleí, pea ko e meʻangāue ia ki heʻetau fengāueʻaki mo e niʻihi kehé pea mo e ʻOtuá. ʻOku fonu e moʻui fakatapuí he ngāué, hokohoko ngāue, pea taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻoku fakamaʻulaloʻi mo ʻikai fakahoungaʻi, ka ʻoku fakatupulaki, maau, tokoni, hiki hake, tokangaʻi, pea holi ki ha meʻa māʻolunga ange ʻa e ngāué.

Kuó u fakamatala ki hono lelei ʻo e ngāué, kau fakamatala ki he taimi ʻataá. Hangē ko hono ʻomi ʻe he ngāue mālohí e fiemālié, ko e kaumeʻa mo e takaua ʻo e ngāué ʻa e fakafiefia ʻoku leleí. Ka ko e lahi taha e ngaahi fakafiefia he ʻaho ní ʻoku fakamātatuʻa, holoki moʻui, fakamamahi, fakatupu hēhēʻia ki he ʻatamaí, mo fakamole taimi. Ko e fiefia moʻoní ʻe toki maʻu pē ia he ngāue mālohí. ʻI he taimi ʻoku liliu ai e meʻa fakafiefiá mei he leleí ki he koví ʻe ʻauha ai e moʻui fakatapuí. “Ko ia, mou tokanga … ke ʻoua naʻa mou fakamāuʻi ʻa e meʻa ʻoku koví ko e tupu ia mei he ʻOtuá” (Molonai 7:14).

ʻOku fakaʻapaʻapaʻi ʻe he moʻui fakatapuí e meʻa foaki taʻe hano tatau ʻo e sinó, ko ha fakatupu fakalangi ʻi he tatau ʻo e ʻOtuá. ʻOku mahuʻinga foki e sino fakamatelié ki he hakeakiʻí, ʻa ia ʻoku toki maʻu pē ʻi he fehokotaki ʻa e matelié mo e laumālié, ʻo hangē ko ʻetau mamata ki hotau ʻEiki toetuʻu mo ʻofeiná. ʻI he māmani faingataʻá ni, ʻe ʻi ai e ngaahi moʻui ʻe fakamamahi ʻene nounoú, feifeiavale, maumau, pe fiu feinga ke moʻui, ka ʻe fuoloa feʻunga e moʻui ʻa e laumālie kotoa, pea ʻe toetuʻu e sino kotoa.

He ʻikai ongoʻi ʻe kinautolu ʻoku tui ko hotau sinó ko e ola pē ia ʻo ha meʻa ne hoko noa peé, ke nau tali ui ki he ʻOtuá pe ha taha pē ki he meʻa ʻoku nau faí pe ki honau sinó. Ka ko kitautolu ʻoku maʻu e fakamoʻoni ʻo e moʻui ki muʻa he māmaní, moʻuí ni, pea mo e taʻengatá hili ʻa e maté, ʻoku tau ʻilo ʻoku ʻi ai hotau fatongia ki he ʻOtuá pea ki Heʻene ngāue nāunauʻia hono fakatupu e sinó. ʻOku pehē ʻe Paula:

“Ko e hā? ʻikai ʻoku mou ʻilo, ko homou sinó ko e fale tapu ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolú, ʻa ia ʻoku mou maʻu mei he ʻOtuá, pea ʻoku ʻikai ʻamoutolu ʻa kimoutolu?

“He kuo fakatau ʻa kimoutolu ʻaki ʻa e totongi: ko ia ke fakaongoongolelei ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻi homou sinó, pea ʻi homou laumālié, ʻa ia ʻoku ʻo e ʻOtuá” (1 Kolinitō 6:19–20).

ʻI hono ʻiloʻi e ngaahi moʻoní ni pea mo e fakahinohino ʻa Palesiteni Tōmasi S. Monisoni ʻi he konifelenisi lahi ʻo ʻEpeleli ʻo e taʻu ní, ko e moʻoni he ʻikai ke tau fakameleʻi hotau sinó, ʻaki e tātataú, pe fakavaivaiʻi ʻaki ia e faitoʻo konatapú, pe fakaʻuliʻi ʻaki ia e feʻauakí, tonó, pe angaʻulí.4 ʻI he hoko hotau sinó ko e meʻangāue hotau laumālié, ʻoku mahuʻinga ke tau tokanga ʻaki e lelei tahá ki hotau sinó. ʻOku totonu ke tau fakatapui hono mālohí ke tokoni pea ʻunuaki ʻaki e ngāue ʻa Kalaisí. Naʻe pehē ʻe Paula, “Ko ʻeni, ʻe kāinga, ʻoku ou kole ai kiate kimoutolu, ko e meʻa ʻi he ngaahi ʻaloʻofa ongongofua ʻa e ʻOtuá, ke mou ʻatu homou sinó ko e feilaulau moʻui, mo māʻoniʻoni, mo lelei ki he ʻOtuá” (Loma 12:1).

Naʻe fakahaaʻi ʻe Sīsū ko e moʻui fakatapuí ko e moʻui ngāue tokoni. ʻI ha ngaahi houa kimuʻa pea kamata ʻEne mamahi he Fakaleleí, naʻe fufulu ʻi he loto fakatōkilalo ʻe he ʻEikí e vaʻe ʻo ʻEne kau ākongá, pea tala kiate kinautolu:

“Pea kapau ko au, ko e ʻEiki mo e Takimuʻa, kuó u fufulu homou vaʻé; ʻoku totonu hoʻomou fetoutou fefufuluʻaki homou vaʻé.

“He kuó u tuku kiate kimoutolu ʻa e fakatātā, koeʻuhí ke mou fai ʻo tatau mo ia kuó u fai kiate kimoutolú.

“Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala kiate kimoutolu, ʻOku ʻikai lahi ʻa e tamaioʻeikí ʻi heʻene ʻeikí; pea ʻoku ʻikai lahi ʻa ia kuo fekauʻí ʻiate ia naʻá ne fekau iá” (Sione 13:14–16).

Ne u ʻilo mei he moʻui ʻeku kuitangatá mo e kuifefiné, ʻa ʻAlekisānita Tiuiti mo Luʻisa Vaikeli Kulisitofasoni, ʻa e sīpinga ko ia ʻo e fakatapuí. Ko ha tangata mālohi ʻeku kui tangatá, pea poto he kosi e fulufuluʻi sipí he taimi ne teʻeki ai ha meʻa kosi ʻuhilá. Naʻá ne tuku hono uaifí (ne lolotonga feitama ʻi hona foha lahí, ko ʻeku tangataʻekí ia) mo ʻena fānau fefine ʻe toko tolu mo e paʻanga mei he kosi fulufuluʻi sipí. ʻI heʻene foki fiefia mai hili e taʻu ʻe uá, naʻá ne ʻilo ai, “Ne mau moʻui ʻaki e paʻanga ne fakahuú he taʻu ʻe ua ko iá pea kei toe ʻa e $29.”

ʻOku tau ʻilo ia mei he niʻihi ʻoku faitotonú.

ʻI he ngaahi taʻu kuohilí, ne u maheni ai mo ha ongo fāmili ne ʻamanaki ke tamateʻi haʻana kautaha fakatupu koloa. Ko e ongo tangata naʻá na fokotuʻu e kautahá he ngaahi taʻu lahi kimuʻá, ko ha ongo kaungāmeʻa fafale ne na lotu pē he Siasi faka-Kalisitiane tatau. Naʻe fuʻu lelei ʻaupito hona vā fakangāué, ka ʻi he kamata ke na holó pea fakalele e pisinisí ʻe he toʻu tangata hokó ne kamata ke ʻi ai ha fekeʻikeʻi. Ne nau fakakaukau ko e lelei tahá ke vahevahe e koloá ʻo takitaha fakalele ʻene pisinisi. Ne faʻu ʻe ha taha ʻo e ongo tangata ne fokotuʻu e pisinisí mo ʻene loeá ha founga ʻe lava ke ne maʻu ai ʻe ia e lahi taha e paʻangá pea ʻe uesia fakapaʻanga ai e tangata ʻe tahá mo hono ngaahi fohá. ʻI heʻenau fakatahá, ne lāunga ai ha taha ʻo e ngaahi fohá ki he meʻa taʻe totonu ko ʻení peá ne kole ki he ʻuluaki tangata haʻana e ngāué ke fakaʻapaʻapaʻi e tui faka-Kalisitiané. Meʻá ni ʻokú ke kei vale he fakatamaikí?”

ʻOku ʻikai ko ha meʻa laulaunoa ʻa e angatonú. Ko e meʻa ʻoku launoá ʻa e fakakaukau ʻoku ʻikai ke tau taliui ki he ʻOtuá. Naʻe folofola e Fakamoʻuí: “Pea naʻe fekauʻi au ʻe heʻeku Tamaí koeʻuhi ke hiki hake au ki he kolosí; … ke u tohoakiʻi ʻa e kakai fulipē kiate au, pea hangē hono hiki hake au ʻe he tangatá, ke pehē hono hiki hake ʻa e tangatá ʻe he Tamaí, ke nau tuʻu ʻi hoku ʻaó, ke fakamāuʻi ʻi heʻenau ngaahi ngāué, pe ʻoku lelei ia pe kovi” (3 Nīfai 27:14). Naʻe valokiʻi fefeka ʻe he Fakamoʻuí e kau mālualoí. ʻOku fakatupu ʻauha e mālualoí, ʻo ʻikai ki he kau mālualoí pē, ka kiate kinautolu kotoa ʻoku sio pe ʻilo ki he ʻulungāanga ko iá, kae tautautefito ki he fānaú. ʻOkú ne fakaʻauha e tuí, ka ko e fakaʻapaʻapá ʻoku tupu ia ʻi ha ʻātakai ʻoku tupulaki ai e tuí.

Ko ha meʻa fakaʻofoʻofa ʻa e moʻui fakatapuí. Ko hono mālohí mo e fakaʻeiʻeikí ʻoku hoko ia “ʻo hangē ko ha ʻakau fua lahi, ʻa ia kuo tō ʻi ha kelekele lelei, ʻi ha veʻe vaitafe maʻa, ʻa ia ʻoku fua ʻaki ʻa e fua lahi ʻoku mahuʻinga lahi” (T&F 97:9). Ka ko e mahuʻinga tahá ko hono ivi tākiekina ki ha tangata pe fefine fakatapui, ʻo tautefito kiate kinautolu ʻoku ofi tahá pe ʻoku nau ʻofa taha aí. Pea ʻe pehē pē ʻa e maʻu ʻe he toʻu tangata ʻi he kahaʻú ha loto toʻa mei hoʻo moʻui fakatapuí, pea te nau moʻua mai kiate koe ʻi he meʻa kotoa ʻoku mahuʻingá. ʻOku ou lotua ke tau fakatapui kitautolu ko e ngaahi foha mo e ʻofefine ʻo e ʻOtuá; “koeʻuhi ka hoko ʻa e taimi te ne hā mai aí te tau tatau mo ia, he te tau mamata kiate ia ʻi hono anga totonú; koeʻuhi ke tau maʻu ʻa e ʻamanaki leleí ni” (Molonai 7:48.; vakai foki, 1 Sione 3:2), ʻi he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻēmeni.
