Young Single Adult Conference
A Spiritual Gift
It was a wonderful conference. The theme was “casual versus careful”.
We had a great time at the young single adult conference. The conference was held at Alankrita Resorts in Hyderabad.
I have learned not to be casual. I didn’t know that small and simple actions show that we are casual in the gospel. Those are not listening to the sacrament talks, not praying regularly, not reading the Book of Mormon regularly, and not prioritising institute. Some of these acts are more crucial for us in this mortal life.
Now I’m changing my small acts and making the most important decisions by keeping God first.
I always remembered one scripture, Matthew 6:33: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
I thank the presidency for helping me attend the conference and strengthening my testimony.
I know this gospel is true, in this there is something which is beyond our happiness. I know the gospel blesses families. I bear my witness that Christ lives and loves each and every one of us, He hears our prayers and answers them, and I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of God. —Priyanka, Saidapet Branch
A Spiritual Feast
I had wonderful time at the YSA conference. I saw Zion being built in the conference. I saw the pure love of Jesus Christ among all the people. I felt that I was in the place of Zion where people are of one heart and thought. The things I learned in the YSA conference increased my testimony of Jesus Christ. The three days teachings about the gospel of the Saviour impacted the progression of my daily life strongly. I am grateful for the YSA conference and have been blessed by our Heavenly Father. I testify that the Book of Mormon is a true word of God because I prayed about it. Jesus Christ is our Saviour and He loves us so much. —Stalin Elumala, Tambaram Branch Clerk
My First YSA Conference
This was the first time I have been to YSA conference where I enjoyed and learnt many things.
I got the opportunity to interact with many young people from different branches/wards like Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Nepal. It was a good opportunity to make friends and to learn about other’s culture and language. We learnt how to select our life partner and the importance of marriage.
It was a nice experience for YSAs who had graduated and were searching for a job, because we were taught how to create a resume, how to interact in group discussions and how to speak with the project managers or the HR team to get selected in an interview.
We were taught how to plan and to make a budget from our monthly expenses and income and how we can be self-reliant. —Prakash Prince, Saidapet Branch
