Sibizelwe Ukwenza Okulungileyo

Sakha ubukumkani bukaThixo njengoko sikhonza abanye, siphakamisela phezulu isibane sethu, kwaye simele inkululeko yenkolo.

UGidiyon wayazi imfundiso yobuxoki xa wayivayo. Ukhe wayiva ngaphambili kuKumkani uNowa nabefundisi bakhe—abefundisi ababe “phakamele phezulu kwikratshi leentliziyo zabo” nababe “xhaswa kubunqenerha babo, kwaye nasekunquleni izithixo kwabo, kwaye nasekuhenyuzeni kwabo, ngeerhafu awathi ukumkani uNowa wazibeka phezu kwabo abantu bakhe” (Mozaya 11:5–6).

Okubi nakakhulu, uKumkani uNowa waye wambulala umprofeti u-Abhinadayi kwaye wayefuna ukutshabalalisa u-Alma nabaguquki bakhe (bona Mozaya 17; 18:33–34). Ukubeka isiphelo kokona kungendawo, uGidiyon wafunga ukuba ayimise ikumkani, leyo awayigcina kuphela ngenxa yohlaselo lweLeymenayithi (bona Mozaya 19:4–8).

Esebenzisa ilizwi likaThixo njengesixhobo sakhe, uGidiyon oligorha wamyala uNehore ngobugwenxa bakhe. Ngomsindo, uNehore wahlasela waze wabulala uGidiyon ngekrele lakhe. (Bona Alma 1:7–9.) Ngoko ke kwaphela imihla “yendoda elilungisa” leyo “eyenze okulunge kakhulu phakathi kwaba bantu” (Alma 1:13.)

“Njengabalandeli [boMsindisi], sifunana nokuthanda uThixo nabamelwane bethu kulo lonke ihlabathi,” Ubongameli bokuQala butshilo. “IBandla likaYesu Krestu labaNgcwele beMihla yokuGqibela lilangazelela ukusikelela abanye nokunceda abo basweleyo. Sisikelelekile ngokuba nesakhono, izixhobo, noqhagamshelwano lwehlabathi oluthembekileyo lokuphumeza olu xanduva lungcwele.”1

Ndinombulelo ngenkonzo engenakuzingca nokulungiselela amalungu eBandla akunikelayo kwiitempile zethu nakwiiwadi, amasebe, kunye ingqokelela yamasebe. IBandla namalungu alo ngokunjalo lisebenzisana nemibutho yeenkonzo kwihlabathi lonke. IBandla, enkosi kumalungu alo, lalilelona “lodwa likhulu elingumnikeli wenkqubo yegazi iRed Cross ngo-2022.” Ukongeza, iBandla kutshanje lenze i$8.7 yezigidi zomnikelo kwiRed Cross.4

Njengabafundi boMsindisi, nathi kananjalo sisikelela abamelwane bethu njengoko sigcina iminqophiso yethu kwaye siphila ubomi obufana nobukaKrestu. INcwadi kaMormoni ifundisa ukuba “abantu bebandla” akufunekanga bakhethe kuphela ubulungisa kodwa kananjalo benze amazwi abo obulungisa avakale ukuba banqwenela iNkosi ibakhusele kwaye ibaphumelelise bona (bona Alma 2:3–7; bona kananjalo Mozaya 29:27). INkosi ilindele thina sabelane ngokholo lwethu neenkolelo kwaye sibambele phezulu isibane sethu. “Qaphelani mna ndikukukhanya eniya kukuphakamisela phezulu” (3 Nifayi 18:24).

“Asimkhonzi kakuhle uMsindisi wethu ukuba siyamoyika umntu ngaphezu kwakhe uThixo,” watsho uMongameli Dallin H. Oaks, uMcebisi Wokuqala kuBongameli bokuQala. Yena wongeza, “Sibizelwe ukuseka umgangatho weNkosi, hayi ukulandela eyehlabathi.”8

Abantu bonqulo kwakunye norhulumente, kuquka izikolo eziliqela neeyunivesithi, banyanzelisa isimilo kwaye baguqulela ekuziphatheni gwenxa, ukungakholelwa kuThixo, nomgaqo wenkolelo yokuziphatha.

Uhlaselo kwinkululeko yokholo luyakuphumelela ukuba asimeli amalungelo ethu okholo. “Njenge bandla,” ndisanda kufundisa, “sizimanya nezinye iinkolo kukhuselwa abantu benkolo zonke neempembelelo nokucenga nelungelo labo lokuthetha iinkolelo zabo.”10

Imfazwe ezulwini yaliwa ngenxa yelungelo lokuzikhethela—inkululeko yethu yokuzikhethela. Ukugcina ilungelo lokuzikhethela kufuna ukuba sikhuthale ekukhuseleni inkululeko yenkolo yethu.

Ukholo lonqulo olunamandla lomeleza kwaye likhusela iintsapho, iindawo zokuhlala, kwakunye nezizwe. Ikhuthaza ukuthotyelwa komthetho, ibethelela intlonipho yobomi nempahla, kwaye ifundisa uthando, ukunyaniseka, kwakunye nokuziphatha kakuhle—ukulunga okudingeka ukuphembelela ekanye nje, ekhululekileyo, nentlalo ntle yoluntu. Sidinga ukungaze sixolisele inkolelo yethu.

Imizamo yethu yofundiso lwevangeli, imisebenzi yethu enyanisekileyo etempileni, imizamo yethu yokwakha ubukumkani bukaThixo, kwakunye nokona konwaba kwethu kufuna ukuba simele ukholo lwenkolo nenkululeko. Asinako ukulahlekelwa yila nkululeko ngaphandle kokulahlekelwa zezinye iinkululeko.

UMprofeti uJoseph Smith wafundisa, “Luthando lwenkululeko oluphembelela umphefumlo wam—inkululeko yoluntu neyenkolo kulo lonke uluntu.”11 Inkululeko yonqulo iyakuvuselela kananjalo imiphefumlo yethu njengoko silandela ingcebiso evela kwiinkokeli zeBandla:

  • “Hlala unolwazi malunga nemiba ebalulekileyo yoluntu, uze uthethe phandle ngenkalipho nangobuntu.”12

  • “Qaphela ukuba ukukhukuliseka kwenkululeko yonqulo kuyakuchaphazela kakhulu amathuba ethu okukhula emandleni nakulwazi lwevangeli, ukuba sisikelelwe ngemimiselo engcwele, kwaye sithembele eNkosini ukuba ikhokele iBandla laYo.”13

  • “Phakama kwaye uthethe ukuze uqinisekise ukuba uThixo ukho kwaye kukho iinyaniso ezipheleleyo ezimiselwa yimithetho yaKhe.”14

  • “Cela umngeni imithetho eya kuphazamisa inkululeko yethu yokwenza iinkolelo zethu.”15

  • “Yiya ehlabathini ukuya kwenza okulungileyo, ukuya kwakha ukholo kuThixo uSomandla, nokunceda abanye bafikelele kwindawo yolonwabo.”16
