One day Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon were reading the scriptures. They had a vision. They saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
They learned that before we were born, we lived in heaven with God.
We came to earth to learn how to follow Jesus and listen to the Holy Ghost. We learn to keep the commandments and repent when we make bad choices.
After we die, we will be resurrected. If we are righteous, we will live with our Heavenly Father again.
I can learn about God’s plan in the scriptures. Because of Jesus, I can be with my family forever.
