Matthew 17:1; Mark 9:2; Luke 9:28 As Jesus prayed, the glory of God came upon Him. His face was bright like the sun. Two Old Testament prophets named Moses and Elias appeared to Him. They talked about His coming death and resurrection. Matthew 17:2–3; Mark 9:3–4; Luke 9:29–31 (see footnote 31a) While Jesus was praying, the Apostles fell asleep. Luke 9:32 When they awoke, they saw the glory of Jesus Christ, Moses, and Elias.
