She was a follower of Jesus Christ. She helped many people and did many good things. Acts 9:36 She became sick and died. Acts 9:37 Her friends sent for Peter. When he got there, he asked Tabitha’s friends to leave the room. Acts 9:38–40 Peter knelt and prayed, then told Tabitha to stand. She opened her eyes and sat up. Acts 9:40 Peter helped her stand. He called her friends. They came and saw that she was alive. Peter had used the power of the priesthood to bring Tabitha back to life.
