The Privilege of Sharing the Gospel

“The gospel of Jesus Christ has never been needed more than it is today” (Russell M. Nelson, “Preaching the Gospel of Peace,” Liahona, May 2022, 6).

As a local leader in His Church, you have the privilege of working side by side with the Lord to spread His gospel throughout the world (see Matthew 24:14).

“Our ultimate aim in sharing the gospel is to help Heavenly Father’s children bind themselves to the Savior by receiving ordinances and making and keeping covenants so they may inherit eternal life” (David A. Bednar, in 2022 Sharing the Gospel: A Broadcast for Leaders, June 25, 2022, ChurchofJesusChrist.org). Acting on the principles of “love, share, and invite” will lead to normal and natural ways for you and those you serve to find joy and success in this great work.

President Russell M. Nelson has promised, “The future will be glorious for those who are prepared and who continue to prepare to be instruments in the Lord’s hands” (“Embrace the Future with Faith,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2020, 76). As you strive to lead in the Savior’s way, the General Handbook and other resources below can help you become familiar with the prophetic direction to share the gospel by loving, sharing, and inviting.
