Youth Voices: Coming unto Christ
Coming unto Christ isn’t a one-time event. Each time we do what He would have us do, we come closer to Him. That’s why doing the small and simple things, like studying the scriptures every day, saying our regular prayers each morning and evening (as well as praying always), and consistently living the standards has huge rewards (see Alma 37:6). Read what youth are doing to come unto Christ, and consider how you can draw nearer to Him.
“My relationship with Christ is strengthened as I selflessly serve others, diligently read the Book of Mormon each night, and offer sincere prayers. By living the standards in For the Strength of Youth, I enjoy the blessings of happiness and the protection and companionship of the Holy Ghost. Keeping Christ as my guide has kept me strong and immovable through high school. It has blessed me beyond measure!”

“I come unto Christ through service and Personal Progress. I try to diligently work on and complete my Personal Progress goals, and over time I’m able to draw closer to my Heavenly Father. I also serve other young women by helping them with their Personal Progress. I know that Personal Progress is an inspired program that helps young women grow closer to their Father in Heaven.”
Amy D., 15, Delaware, USA
“After I was baptized and received the Aaronic Priesthood, I started blessing the sacrament in sacrament meeting. Heavenly Father asks me to serve His children, and it’s my honor to do so. I know that if we follow God’s instructions and fulfill our duty, we can bless others and develop our spiritual strength in coming unto Christ.”
Chris L., 17, Shaanxi, China
“I attend Church meetings every Sunday. When I’m there, I feel the Spirit and know that what I’m hearing is true. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are there for me and are always inviting us to come to Them through our actions (see Joshua 1:9).”
Kimberlie B., 16, Nevada, USA
“My personal prayers are what keep me close to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Reading my scriptures, attending church, and having family home evening also keep me close to Them.”
Zachary L., 14, Utah, USA
