One deacon used his talents to make gospel worship in his home more special.
Having sacrament meeting at home has inspired some Church members to get creative. Chace B., a 12-year-old deacon in California, set a goal to build a wooden sacrament tray for him and his family to use. He drilled five holes in a piece of wood for the cups, and then he carved out a tray on the other side for the bread. He sanded the wood, attached a handle, and sealed it with coconut oil.
“That Sunday when we partook of the sacrament, it was with more stillness, intention, and reverence than in the previous weeks,” Chace said. “I could feel that my Heavenly Father was pleased and proud of me for my goal and the choices it involved.”
