Did you watch the games in Paris?

These Latter-day Saint athletes were there!

There have been at least a dozen members of The Church of Jesus Christ among the more than 11,000 athletes competing in Paris this year!

Some of them were already kind of famous, like former Brigham Young University basketball star Jimmer Fredette who played on the USA’s 3-on-3 basketball team.

And the name Kenneth Rooks should be familiar—he shared some great thoughts about emotional resilience in the July For the Strength of Youth magazine!

But there are lots of people the world is just getting to know—like Ponipate Loganimasi, known as “Poni,” who won a silver medal alongside his teammates in the Fiji Rugby Sevens team! He’s hoping to play again in the 2028 games in Los Angeles.

These are just a few. Pistol shooter Lexi Lagan, runner Whittni Morgan, steeplechaser James Corrigan, and other Latter-day Saint athletes... it’s been so fun to cheer you on! What can we learn from their examples of setting and working toward goals?

Starting Soon!

France will also host events for paralympic athletes beginning August 28.
