Here’s what Alma 14 might have been like.

Zeezrom had stirred up persecution against the followers of Christ. The people in Ammonihah were angry at Alma and Amulek for teaching the truth!

Eventually, Zeezrom repented and had a change of heart. He acknowledged the gospel was true. But it was too late to stop the evil ripples he had created.

The city’s leaders decided to kill the believers and destroy the scriptures. Why would the Lord allow such terrible things to happen? Alma helped Amulek understand.

To Think About

If someone asked you “Why does God let terrible things happen?” what would you say?
