Valentine’s Day can be a great time to show friends some love.

There are a lot of worldly messages about what a romantic Valentine’s Day should be like. But you can use this holiday to uplift your family members and friends, who represent some of the most meaningful relationships life has to offer.

Here are a few ideas for celebrating:

  • Host a “Pal”entine’s Day party to play games. There are lots of online options if you need to gather virtually!
  • Be a secret service agent. Every time you do a sneaky act of service around your house, leave a paper heart behind.
  • Write and decorate nice notes, and then mail them or “heart attack” a friend’s door.
  • Record yourself singing or dancing, and then share it with a family member you don’t see very often.
  • Make treats to drop off to elderly neighbors or anyone else who might need an extra boost.
  • Check your FamilySearch tree for sweetheart stories about your ancestors.
  • Ask a married couple to tell you how they fell in love, and then write in your journal about the companion you want to be someday.

Have a great Valentine’s Day! Remember that you are surrounded by love.
