Some life experiences are downright thorny.

Have you ever heard of the game “thorns and roses”? For some families, this is a dinnertime tradition. Everyone takes turns sharing something bad that happened during the day (a thorn) and something good (a rose).

In this video, Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles reminds us that thorns are part of life. Sometimes life is really hard and unfair!

But here’s the good news: roses blossom around us every day, too. And everyone who is faithful will eventually receive all of the blessings God has to offer. Sometimes we just need to be patient.

So don’t give up! Trust that your blessings will blossom when the time is right.
