“Beloved,” Ensign, June 1983, 43
Beloved
Here, where you left it,
your dearest treasure safe,
the jewel you sought
in far and lonely lands.
Here, warm in the sunlight
of our tender care,
here, polished and glowing
in our eager hands,
here where you left it,
never lost at all.
Here is the treasure
you have ever sought,
here in our hearts, unused,
held safe and fast
for a beloved one
come home at last.
