Recently, Sister Nelson and I watched the new Book of Mormon videos. One of them showed the Savior appearing to the Nephites. He said, “Behold, I am Jesus Christ. . . . I am the light and the life of the world” (3 Nephi 11:10–11).
It is significant that the Savior appeared to the people at the temple. It is His house. It is filled with His power.
The Lord is accelerating the building of temples. This is so that more people can go there. I promise that going to the temple more often will bless people as nothing else can.
In conference, I announced 18 more temples. In some very big cities, it takes a long time for people to travel to the temple in their city. So we are going to build several temples in some of these big cities. Four of the new temples will be built near Mexico City.
My dear brothers and sisters, may you focus on the temple more than ever before. I bless you to grow closer to God and Jesus Christ every day. I love you. May God be with you until we meet again.
Jesus Visited the Nephites
The Savior appeared to the Nephites at the temple because it is His house. God is blessing us with more temples to strengthen and protect us.
