Choose Wisely

The Wise Men are following the star to worship Jesus Christ. Without looking too closely, guess which path will lead them to the star. Avoid the path that leads them back to Herod! Then follow the lines to see if you guessed right. (For the scripture story, see Matthew 2:1–12.)

Fix the Ornament Mix-Up

Around the world, many people celebrate the Savior’s birth by decorating Christmas trees. Can you tell which three ornaments are not like the others?

An Angelic Match

In the New Testament and the Book of Mormon, angels testify of the Christmas story: the Savior’s birth and other connected events, like the birth of John the Baptist. Match what the angel said with the person it was declared to and then with what the person said or did.

Need help? Check out Matthew 1:18–25, Luke 1:13–38, Luke 2:8–18, and 1 Nephi 11:14–23.

The Angel Said:

  1. “Thou son of David, fear not.”

  2. “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy.”

  3. “Fear not, … for thy prayer is heard.”

  4. “What beholdest thou?”

  5. “Hail, thou that art highly favoured.”

Person:

  1. Joseph

  2. Zacharias

  3. Mary

  4. Shepherds

  5. Nephi

The Person Said or Did:

  1. “Whereby shall I know this?”

  2. Did what the angel said.

  3. “A virgin, most beautiful and fair.”

  4. “Let us now go unto Bethlehem.”

  5. “Be it unto me according to thy word.”
