Vahe 29

ʻAlamā 30–31

Talateú

ʻOku fakahaaʻi ʻe he vahe 30–31 ʻo ʻAlamaá e kakai mo e ngaahi fakakaukau naʻa nau fakafepakiʻi ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí. Ne lea ʻa Palesiteni ʻEselā Tafu Penisoni (1899–1994) ʻo pehē:

“ ʻOku ʻomi ʻe he Tohi ʻa Molomoná e tangatá kia Kalaisi ʻi he tefitoʻi meʻa ko ʻeni ʻe ua. ʻUluakí, ʻokú ne tala mai ʻi ha founga mahinongofua ʻa Kalaisi mo ʻEne ongoongoleleí. …

“Uá, ʻoku fakahaaʻi mai ʻe he Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻa e ngaahi fili ʻo Kalaisí. ʻOkú ne veuveuki ʻa e ngaahi tokāteline halá pea fakangata ʻa e ngaahi fakakikihí. (Vakai, 2 Nīfai 3:12.) ʻOkú ne fakamālohia ʻa e kau muimui fakatōkilalo ʻo Kalaisí mei he fokotuʻutuʻu koví, founga ngāué, mo e ngaahi tokāteline ʻa e tēvoló ʻi hotau kuongá. ʻOku faitatau ʻa e hē mei he moʻoní ʻi he Tohi ʻa Molomoná mo ia ʻi he ʻaho ní. Naʻe fakaʻaongaʻi ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻa ʻEne tomuʻa ʻafioʻi taʻefakangatangata e Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻi ha founga ke tau sio ai ki he fehālaakí pea ʻilo e founga ʻo hono fakafepakiʻi e ngaahi akoʻi halá, fakapolitikale, fakalotu, mo e ngaahi fakakaukau fakapoto ʻi hotau taimí” (ʻi he Conference Report, Apr. 1975, 94–95; pe Ensign, May 1975, 64).

ʻI hoʻo ako ki he founga ne feinga ai ʻa Kolihola ke fakaʻauha ʻa e tui ʻa e kau Nīfaí, te ke fakatokangaʻi lelei ange e ngaahi fakafekiki ʻoku fakatupu ʻauha ʻi hotau kuonga. ʻI hoʻo ako e tali ʻa ʻAlamā kia Koliholá, te ke mateuteu lelei ange ai ke ke maluʻi koe mo e niʻihi kehé meiate kinautolu te nau fakaʻauha hoʻo tuí.

Fakamatalá

ʻAlamā 30. Ko Ha Kau Kolihola ʻi Onopooni

  • Naʻe fakamatala ʻa ʻEletā Sēlati N. Lani, ko ha Fitungofulu mālōlō, ʻoku tokolahi ha ngaahi faitatau ʻo Kolihola ʻi onopooni:

“ ʻOku fakafonu ʻa māmaní he ʻahó ni ʻi ha ngaahi ʻilo faitatau mo ē naʻe akoʻi ʻe Koliholá. ʻOku tau lau ia he ngaahi tohí, mamata ai he kau helo ʻo e faivá mo e televīsoné, pea fanongo ki hono akoʻi ʻi he loki akó pea ʻi he ngaahi siasí he taimi ʻe niʻihi. …

“… ʻOku tau sio ki he fakamoʻoni mahinongofua ʻo e ueʻi fakalaumālie ko ia ʻa Molomona ki hono ʻomai e fakamatala kakato kia Kolihola mo ʻene ngaahi akonakí.

Ko e fili lahi tahá ko Lusifā, ka ʻoku lahi hano ngaahi tokoni ʻo tatau pē ʻi he laumālié mo e kakanó” (“Anti-Christ,” 609).

Ne toe ako ʻaki ʻe ʻEletā Pulusi R. Makongikī (1915–85) ʻo e Kōlomu ʻo e Kau ʻAposetolo ʻe Toko Hongofulu Mā Uá: “Ko ia ko e fili ʻo Kalaisí ʻokú ne fakafepaki kia Kalaisi; ʻoku hoko ia ko e fakafepaki ki he moʻoni ʻo e ongoongoleleí, Siasi moʻoní, pea mo e palani totonu ʻo e fakamoʻuí. (1 Sione 2:19; 4:4–6.) ʻOkú ne foaki ʻa e fakamoʻuí ʻi ha ngaahi founga kehe mei he founga ko ia ne fakahoko ʻe Kalaisí. Ko Seialemi (Sēkope 7:1–23), Nēhoa (ʻAlamā 1:2–16), mo Kolihola (ʻAlamā 30:6–60) ko ha ngaahi fili kinautolu ʻo Kalaisi ne nau fakamafola ha ngaahi malanga loi ʻi he kau Nīfaí” (Mormon Doctrine, 2nd ed. [1966], 39–40).

Ne faʻu ʻe he Tuʻi ko Mōsaiá ha fanongonongo ʻo talaki ʻoku fepaki mo e lao ʻa e kau Nīfaí ke “fakatangaʻi ʻe ha tangata taʻetui ha tokotaha ʻo e faʻahinga naʻe kau ki he siasi ʻo e ʻOtuá” (Mōsaia 27:2).

‘Oku hā mahino mai, neongo ne tauʻatāina ʻa Kolihola ki heʻene tuí, ka ʻi heʻene feinga ke fakaʻauha ʻa e Siasí, naʻá ne maumauʻi e fanongonongo ʻa e Tuʻi ko Mōsaiá. ʻOku fakaofo hono fakatokangaʻi e tokolahi ʻo kinautolu ne nofo ʻi Seilahemalá ne muimui ʻi he ngaahi akonaki ʻa Koliholá, ʻa e kakai ʻo ʻĀmoní, ʻa ia ko e konga lahi ʻo ʻenau moʻuí ne nau muimui he tui ʻa Koliholá ʻo “fekau ke ʻave ia mei he fonuá” (ʻAlamā 30:21; vakai foki, veesi 18–20).

ʻoku ikuna ʻa e tangata takitaha ʻo fakatatau ki hono iví,’ pe ʻoku tonu pe hala ʻe maʻu pē ia mei he lao ʻo e lavameʻá pe taʻelavameʻá: ‘Pea ʻilonga ha meʻa ʻoku fai ʻe ha tangata ʻoku ʻikai ko e hia ia’ (ʻAlamā 30:17). Ko ha ongoongolelei ʻeni ki ha niʻihi tokolahi, ʻa e toʻo ko ia ʻo e ngaahi fakangatangata fakaeangamaʻa mo fakaeongo mo hono ngāue ʻaki ʻo e tōʻonga moʻui fakaetangata ʻa e pule pē ʻa e mālohí, ‘ʻo fakatupu ʻa ʻenau hiki hake honau ʻulú ke māʻolunga ʻi heʻenau fai angahalá, ʻio, ʻo takiakiʻi atu ʻa e kakai tokolahi … ke nau fai ʻa e ngaahi feʻauakí’ (ʻAlamā 30:18). Ne fakatupulaki ʻa hono taukaveʻi mo taʻetali ʻo ha fakafepaki, ʻa ia naʻá ne ui ʻi he anga ʻo ʻene fakaukaú ko e ‘fakasesele’ (ʻAlamā 30:13–14), ‘fakasesele’ (ʻAlamā 30:31), ko e fua ia ʻo e fakakaukau vale mo mamio (ʻAlamā 30:16). Kia ʻAlamā ko e kakai tauʻatāiná ʻa kinautolu ʻoku fakakaukau mo lea ʻo hangē ko iá (ʻAlamā 30:7–12), ka kia Koliholá ko e kakai tauʻatāina ʻa kinautolu kotoa ʻoku fakakaukau hangē pe ko (ʻAlamā 30:24)” (Hugh W. Nibley, Since Cumorah, 2nd ed. [1988], 379–80).

ʻAlamā 30:15–16. Akonaki Loi ʻa Koliholá

  • Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Kolihola ʻoku “ʻikai ke ke lava ke ʻilo e ngaahi meʻa ko ia ʻoku ʻikai ke ke lava ʻo sio ki aí” ko ha founga ʻoku pehē ko e fakakaukau mo e ʻilo kotoa ʻoku maʻu ia pea lava ke siviʻi ʻi hano aʻusia pea toki lava pē ʻo ʻilo e ngaahi meʻa ko iá ʻaki ʻetau ngaahi ongó: vakaí, nanamú, alá, fanongó, pe ifó. Koeʻuhí ʻoku kau ʻi he ngaahi aʻusia fakalaumālié ʻa e fakahā mei he ʻOtuá, ʻoku tātātaha pē ke fakafou mai ia he vakaí, nanamú, alá, fanongó pe ifó ʻa ia ʻoku ʻikai mahuʻinga ia kiate kinautolu ʻoku tui ki he founga ʻa Koliholá.

ʻOku fakahaaʻi mai ʻe he lotu ʻa ʻAlamaá e tōʻonga ʻoku totonu ke fakatupulaki ʻe he kotoa ʻo e kāingalotú mo e kau faifekaú. ʻOku mahuʻinga e taha kotoa, pea ʻi he mālohi ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻe lava ke fakafoki mai kinautolu kiate Ia.

ʻI he hoko ʻa ʻEletā Kālosi E. ʻEisī (1926–99) ko e mēmipa ʻo e Kau Fitungofulú, naʻá ne akoʻi ʻoku mahuʻinga ʻa e taha kotoa ki he ʻOtuá pea ʻoku totonu ke pehē kiate kitautolu:

“ ʻOku mahuʻinga ʻa e laumālie ʻo hotau kāinga ʻoku hā ngali vaivaí mo ʻikai ongoongo leleí. ʻOku fie maʻu kinautolu ʻe he Siasí. ʻOku totonu ke tau fai hotau tūkuingatá ke ʻiloʻi kinautolu pea tokoniʻi ke nau maʻu ʻa e kakato ʻo e ngaahi tāpuaki mo e fiefia ʻo e ongoongolelei ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí. ʻOku totonu ke hangē ʻetau lotú ko ʻAlamaá: ‘ʻOfa muʻa ʻe ʻEiki, ʻo tuku mai kiate kimautolu ʻa e mālohi mo e poto ke mau lava ʻo toe fakatafoki ʻa e faʻahingá ni, ko homau kāingá, kiate koe.’ (Vakai, ʻAlamā 31:35.)

“ ʻOku totonu ke tau manatuʻi ʻoku fengāueʻaki ʻa hotau fakamoʻuí mo e fakamoʻui ʻo e niʻihi kehé. ʻOku totonu ke tau tokanga ange kiate kinautolu ʻoku hangē ʻoku nau taʻetokanga ki heʻenau tuí” (“Nurturing the Less Active,” Ensign, Oct. 1986, 15).

ʻAlamā 31:31–33. Maʻu e Fiemālié ʻi he Faingataʻá

  • Naʻe lea ʻa Palesiteni Lolenisou Sinou (1814–1901) ʻo kau ki he ngaahi tāpuaki ʻoku maʻu ʻi he ʻahiʻahí:

Palesiteni Lolenisou Sinou“ ʻOku ou pehē ʻoku ou talanoa heni ki ha faʻahinga ne nau hohaʻa pea faingataʻaʻia mo loto mamahi pea fakatangaʻi, pea nau fakakaukau ʻi ha taimi ʻe niʻihi naʻe ʻikai ke nau ʻamanaki ke kātakiʻi ha ngaahi meʻa lahi. Ka ko e ngaahi meʻa kotoa kuó ke fouá, ngaahi meʻa kotoa kuo hoko kiate koe ʻo ke fakakaukau ʻoku kovi ʻi he taimi ko iá, te ke maʻu ʻo liunga fā, pea ʻe hanga ʻe he mamahi ko iá ʻo ʻai koe ke ke lelei mo mālohi ange pea ongoʻi ʻoku faitāpuekina koe. ʻI hoʻo sio ko ia ki he ngaahi meʻa ne ke aʻusiá te ke ʻilo ai kuó ke fakalakalaka lahi pea kuó ke kaka ʻi ha ngaahi sitepu ki he hakeakiʻí mo e lāngilangí. …

“Fakakaukau ki ai fakafoʻituitui pe fakatokolahi, kuo tau foua ha mamahi pea te tau toe mamahi pē; pea ko e hā hono ʻuhingá? Koeʻuhí kuo fakaʻatā ia ʻe he ʻEikí ke tau aʻusia ki hono fakamāʻoniʻoniʻi kitautolú” (The Teachings of Lorenzo Snow, comp. Clyde J. Williams [1984], 117–18).

Ngaahi Meʻa ke Fakakaukauʻí

  • Naʻe hangē ʻoku vēkeveke ʻa ʻAlamā ʻaki ʻene ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá pea pehē ki he kau Sōlamí ke fakafoki mai ʻa e kau Sōlamí. Te tau fakatupulaki fēfē ha faʻahinga ʻofa tatau peheni?

  • ʻOku anga fēfē e kehekehe ʻa e lotu ʻa ʻAlamaá mei he lotu ʻa e kau Sōlamí? ʻOku founga fēfē ʻa e mei tatau ʻetau lotú mo e lotu ʻa e kau Sōlamí?

ʻOku fakamālohia fēfē ʻe he ngaahi fakamoʻoni ko ʻení hoʻo tuí?
