6.2 Drinking Water Quality and Purification Systems

Contact your local health department, regulatory body, or government for rules or guidelines regarding nonmunicipal drinking water systems. The requirements for water quality and the level at which health officials monitor nonmunicipal systems may vary depending on your drinking water system size and type, as well as local rules. Most regulations require periodic monitoring and periodic sanitary surveys by health officials.
