Ko e Fekau Lahí—ʻOfa ki he ʻEikí

“Ko e taimi ʻoku tau fakamuʻomuʻa ai ʻa e ʻOtuá, ʻe tuʻu ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kehe kotoa pē ʻi honau tuʻunga totonú pe ko ʻenau mavahe mei heʻetau moʻuí.”

Mei he Moʻui ʻa ʻEselā Tafu Penisoní

Naʻe hā mei he moʻui ʻa Palesiteni ʻEselā Tafu Penisoní ʻa ʻene ʻofa ki he ʻEikí pea mo ʻene tukupā taʻe-toe-ueʻia ke moʻui ʻaki e ongoongoleleí. Naʻe pehē ʻe hano kāinga ofi, “Ko e tui fakalotú kia ʻEselā mo hono fāmilí, ko ha founga ia ʻo e moʻuí ʻoku kakato— ko ha meʻa ke moʻui ʻaki he ʻaho ʻe fitu ʻo e uiké. ʻOku muʻomuʻa taha ia ʻi heʻene fakakaukaú ʻa e hokosia e taimi ke fai ai e ngaahi filí.”1

Naʻe toe fakatokangaʻi foki ʻe ha kakai kehe mei he fāmili Penisoní e ʻofa ʻa Palesiteni Penisoni ki he ʻEikí. ʻI he lolotonga hoko ʻa Palesiteni Penisoni he 1939 ko ha palesiteni fakasiteikí, naʻe fakaafeʻi ia ki Uāsingatoni D.C., ke feʻiloaki mo e kau talēkita ʻo e Kōsilio Fakafonua ʻo e Ngaahi Kautaha ʻa e Kau Ngoué (National Council of Farmer Cooperatives). “Hili hono vakavakaiʻi mo fakafehufehuʻi iá, ne foaki ange ʻe he poate ʻo e kau talāsití ki ai ʻa e tuʻunga ko e sekelitali lahi ʻo e potungāue ko iá. … Neongo naʻe fiefia lahi ʻi he fie maʻu taʻe-ʻamanekina ko ʻeni ke ngāué, ka naʻe ʻikai loto ke ne tali. Fakatatau mo e mahino naʻá ne maʻú, ʻe kau ʻi he ngāué hano fakalotoa ʻo ha niʻihi ʻaki ha ngaahi fakafiefia maʻu kava mālohi, ʻa ia he ʻikai fenāpasi ia mo ʻene tui fakalotú.

“ʻE Misa. Penisoni,ʻ ko e tali ʻeni ʻa e Fakamaau ko Sione D. Mila ko e taki ʻo e kulupú, ʻko e ʻuhinga ia ne mau fili ai koé. ʻOku mau ʻilo hoʻo ngaahi tuʻunga moʻuí. ʻ ʻI he fakapapauʻi kakato ʻe he poaté he ʻikai fie maʻu ke ne feinga ke mahino e ngaahi palopalema ʻo e ngoué ʻi ha ipu kava mālohí, naʻe fiefia leva ke ne tali ʻa e ngāué, ka naʻá ne fai ia ʻi he hili ʻo ʻene ʻuluaki feongoongoi mo e Kau Palesitenisī ʻUluakí pea mo hono uaifí.2

Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Palesiteni Penisoni ʻoku tau fakahaaʻi ʻetau ʻofa ki he ʻEikí ʻaki ʻetau loto fiemālie ke fai e finangalo ʻo e ʻEikí. Naʻá ne pehē: “ʻOku ou fakaʻamu pehē ange mai ʻe lava ke pehē loto fakamātoato ʻe he Kāingalotu kotoa ʻi he Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní: ʻTe u ʻalu ki ha feituʻu pē te ke finangalo ke u ʻalu ki aí. Te u lea ʻaki e meʻa ʻokú ke finangalo ke u lea ʻakí. Te u hoko ko e taha ʻokú ke finangalo ki aíʻ [vakai, Ngaahi Himí, fika 171]. Kapau te tau lava kotoa ʻo fai ia, ʻe fakapapauʻi mai kiate kitautolu ʻa e fiefia taupotu tahá ʻi heni pea mo e hakeakiʻí ʻi he puleʻanga fakasilesitiale ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻamui ange.”3

ʻI ha malanga he konifelenisi lahi ʻo ʻEpeleli 1988 — naʻe fai e malangá ʻi he meʻa ʻoku fakatefito ai ʻa e vahe ko ʻení — naʻe nofo taha ai ʻa Palesiteni Penisoni ʻi he fekau ʻuluaki mo lahí: ke ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá. Naʻe pehē ʻe ʻEletā Falanisisi M. Kīponi fekauʻaki mo e malanga ko ʻení, “Ko e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē naʻe ngāueʻi ʻe Palesiteni ʻEselā Tafu Penisoní, ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē naʻá ne taukaveʻí, pea mo ia kotoa naʻe ʻamanaki ki ai—maʻaná, maʻa hono fāmilí, pea mo e Siasí—ʻoku fālute ia ʻi he malanga ko ʻení.”4

Jesus Christ depicted in red and black robes. Christ is talking to a rich young man. Christ has His arms extended as He gestures toward a poorly dressed man and woman. The painting depicts the event wherein Christ was approached by a young man who inquired of Christ what he should do to gain eternal life. Christ instructed him to obey the commandments and to give his wealth to the poor and follow Him. The young man was unable to part with his wealth and went away sorrowfully. (Matthew 19:16-26) (Mark 10:17-27) (Luke 18:18-27)

ʻOku tau fakahaaʻi ʻetau ʻofa ki he ʻEikí ʻi he taimi ʻoku tau tokoni ai ki he kakai kehé, ʻo hangē ko e akoʻi ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ʻa e talavou koloaʻiá (vakai, Mātiu 19:16–21).

Ngaahi Akonaki ʻa ʻEselā Tafu Penisoní

1

Ko e ʻuluaki pea ko e lahi ia ʻo e fekaú ke ʻofa ki he ʻEikí.

Ko e sivi lahi ʻo e moʻuí ʻa e talangofua ki he ʻOtuá. “Pea te tau siviʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻi he meʻá ni, ke vakai pe te nau fai ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē ʻe fekau ʻe he ʻEiki ko honau ʻOtuá kiate kinautolú” ʻĒpalahame 3:25).

Ko e ngāue lahi ʻo e moʻuí ke ʻilo e finangalo ʻo e ʻEikí pea fakahoko ia.

Ko e fekau lahi ʻo e moʻuí ke ʻofa ki he ʻEikí.

ʻOku naʻinaʻi ʻa Molonai ʻi heʻene fakamoʻoni fakaʻosí, “Haʻu kia Kalaisi, … pea ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá ʻaki homou iví, ʻatamaí, mo e mālohi kotoa pē” (Molonai 10:32).

Ko ʻeni leva ʻa e fekau ʻuluaki mo lahí: “Ke ʻofa ki [he ʻEiki] ko ho ʻOtuá ʻaki ho lotó kotoa, pea mo ho laumālié kotoa, mo ho ʻatamaí kotoa, mo ho mālohí kotoa” (Maʻake 12:30; vakai foki, Mātiu 22:37; Teutalōnome 6:5; Luke 10:27; Molonai 10:32; T&F 59:5).

Ko e ʻofa haohaoa ʻa Kalaisi ʻoku ui ko e manavaʻofá, ʻoku fakamoʻoniʻi ʻe he Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻoku maʻongoʻonga taha he meʻa kotoa pē—ʻoku ʻikai fakaʻau ʻo ngata, ʻoku tolonga ia ʻo taʻengata, pea ʻoku totonu ke maʻu ia ʻe he kakai kotoa pē, pea kapau ʻoku ʻikai maʻu ia ko e meʻa noa pē kinautolu (vakai, Molonai 7:44–47; 2 Nīfai 26:30).

ʻOku kole mai ʻa Molonai, “Ko ia, ʻe hoku kāinga ʻofeina, lotu ki he Tamaí ʻaki ʻa e ivi kotoa ʻo [homou] lotó, koeʻuhí ke fakafonu ʻa kimoutolu ʻaki ʻa e ʻofá ni, ʻa ia kuó ne foaki kiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku muimui moʻoni ʻi hono ʻAlo ko Sīsū Kalaisí; koeʻuhí ke mou hoko ko e ngaahi foha ʻo e ʻOtuá; koeʻuhí ka hoko ʻa e taimi te ne hā mai aí te tau tatau mo ia” (Molonai 7:48).

ʻOku lekooti ʻe Molonai ʻi he fakaʻosi ʻo e fakamatala ki he kau Sēletí mo e kau Nīfaí fakatouʻosi, ka ʻikai maʻu ʻe he tangatá ʻa e ʻofa haohaoa ko ʻeni ʻa Kalaisi, ʻoku ui ko e manavaʻofá, he ʻikai ke nau lava ʻo maʻu ʻa e potu kuo ʻosi teuteu ʻe Kalaisi ʻi he fale ʻo ʻene Tamaí pe ʻe lava ke fakamoʻui kinautolu ʻi he puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá (vakai, ʻEta 12:34; Molonai 10:21).

Ko e fua naʻe kai ʻe Līhai ʻi heʻene mata-meʻa-hā-maí peá ne fakafonu hono laumālié ʻaki ʻa e fuʻu fiefia lahi mo lelei ange ʻi he fua kehe kotoa peé, ko e ʻofa ia ʻa e ʻOtuá.5

Ko e taimi ʻoku ou fakakaukau ai ki he manavaʻofá, ʻOku…ou fakakaukau ki heʻeku tamaí pea mo e ʻaho naʻe ui ai ia ke ngāue fakafaifekaú [vakai, peesi 4–6 ʻi he tohí ni]. ʻOku ou tui ʻe pehē ʻe ha niʻihi ʻi he māmaní ko ʻene tali ʻa e ui ko iá ko ha fakamoʻoni ia naʻe ʻikai ʻofa moʻoni ʻi hono fāmilí. ʻE hoko fēfē ia ko ha ʻofa moʻoni, ke tuku ʻi ha taʻu ʻe ua ʻa e fānau ʻe toko fitu mo ha uaifi ʻoku teu fāʻele ʻi ʻapi? Ka naʻe maʻu ʻe heʻeku tamaí ha mahino maʻongoʻonga ange ʻo e ʻofá. Naʻá ne ʻiloʻi ʻoku “fengāueʻaki fakataha ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ke lelei ai ʻa kinautolu ʻoku ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá” (Loma 8:28). Naʻá ne ʻiloʻi ko e meʻa lelei taha te ne lava ʻo fai maʻa hono fāmilí ko e talangofua ki he ʻOtuá.6

Ko e ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá ʻaki ho lotó, laumālié, ʻatamaí, mo e mālohí kotoá, ʻokú ne fālute kotoa ki ai hotau iví mo e meʻa kotoa pē. ʻOku ʻikai ko ha ngāue fakaai pē. Ko e tukupā kakato ʻo ʻetau moʻuí kotoa— fakatuʻasino, fakaʻatamai, fakaeloto mo fakalaumālie—ke ʻofa ki he ʻEikí.

Ko e māokupu, loloto, mo e māʻolunga ʻo e ʻofa ko ʻeni ki he ʻOtuá ʻoku ope atu ia ki he tapa kotoa pē ʻo e moʻui ʻa ha taha. Ko ʻetau ngaahi fakaʻānauá, tatau ai pē pe ʻoku fakalaumālie pe fakatuʻasino, ʻoku totonu ke fakatefito ia ʻi ha ʻofa ki he ʻEikí. ʻOku totonu ke fakatefito ʻetau ngaahi fakakaukaú mo ʻetau ongoʻi ʻofá ʻi he ʻEikí. Naʻe pehē ʻe ʻAlamā, “Tuku ke hanga atu hoʻo ngaahi fakakaukau kotoa pē ki he ʻEikí; ʻio, tuku ke fai ki he ʻEikí ʻa e ʻofa ʻa ho lotó ʻo taʻengata” (ʻAlamā 37:36).7

ʻOku tau fakahaaʻi ʻetau ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá ʻi he taimi ʻoku tau fakamuʻomuʻa ai Ia ʻi heʻetau moʻuí.

Ko e hā naʻe fokotuʻu ai ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻa e fekau ʻuluakí ke muʻomuʻa tahá? Koeʻuhí he naʻá Ne ʻafioʻi kapau ʻoku tau ʻofa moʻoni ʻiate Ia te tau loto ke tauhi kotoa ʻEne ngaahi fekau kehé. ʻOku pehē ʻe Sione, “He ko ʻeni ʻa e ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá, ko ʻetau fai ki heʻene ngaahi fekaú” (1 Sione 5:3; vakai foki, 2 Sione 1:6).

Kuo pau ke tau fakamuʻomuʻa taha ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻi he meʻa kehe kotoa pē ʻi heʻetau moʻuí. Kuo pau ke muʻomuʻa Ia, ʻo hangē ko ʻEne fakahā ʻi he ʻuluaki ʻo ʻEne Ngaahi Fekau ʻe Hongofulú: “ʻOua naʻá ke maʻu mo au ha ʻotua kehe ʻi hoku ʻaó” (ʻEkesōtosi 20:3).

Ko e taimi ʻoku tau fakamuʻomuʻa ai ʻa e ʻOtuá, ʻe tuʻu ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kehe kotoa pē ʻi honau tuʻunga totonú pe ko ʻenau mavahe mei heʻetau moʻuí. ʻE puleʻi ʻe heʻetau ʻofa ki he ʻEikí ʻa ʻetau talaki ʻetau ʻofá, ngaahi fie maʻu ki hotau taimí, ngaahi meʻa ʻoku tau tulifua ki aí, pea mo e fakahokohoko ʻo e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku tau mahuʻingaʻia aí.

ʻOku totonu ke tau fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻi ha toe taha ʻi heʻetau moʻuí.

Ko e taimi naʻe ʻi ʻIsipite ai ʻa Siosefá, ko e hā naʻá ne fakamuʻomua ʻi heʻene moʻuí— ko e ʻOtuá, ʻene ngāué, pe mali ʻo Pōtifaá? Ko e taimi naʻe feinga ai e fefiné ke fakataueleʻi iá, naʻá ne pehē, “ʻE fēfē ʻeku fai ʻa e hala lahí ni, ke u halaia ai ki he ʻOtuá?” (Sēnesi 39:9).

Naʻe tuku pilīsone ʻa Siosefa koeʻuhí ko ʻene fakamuʻomuʻa e ʻOtuá. Kapau ne tau fehangahangai mo ha fili tatau mo ia, ko e fē te tau ʻuluaki fakamuʻomuʻá? ʻE lava nai ke tau fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá kae ʻikai ko ʻetau ongoʻi malú, nongá, ngaahi holí, koloá, mo e fakalāngilangi ʻa e tangatá?

Naʻe loto fiemālie ʻa Siosefa ʻo ʻIsipité ke ʻalu ki he fale fakapōpulá kae ʻikai fakaʻikaiʻi ʻene tauhi mateaki ki he ʻOtuá.

Naʻe folofola ʻa e ʻEikí, “Ko ia ʻoku ʻofa lahi hake ki he tamaí pe faʻeé ʻiate aú, ʻoku ʻikai taau mo ia ke ne maʻu au: pea ko ia ʻoku ʻofa lahi hake ki hono fohá pe ʻofefiné ʻiate aú, ʻoku ʻikai taau mo ia ke ne maʻu au” (Mātiu 10:37).

Naʻe fehangahangai ʻa Nīfai mo e sivi ko iá peá ne ikunaʻi lelei ia ʻi he taimi naʻe kiʻi lāunga ai ʻene tamai leleí ki he ʻEikí (vakai, 1 Nīfai 16:18–25). Naʻe pukepuke ʻe Siope ʻa ʻene angatonu ki he ʻEikí neongo naʻe talaange ʻe hono uaifí ki ai ke lea kovi ki he ʻOtuá kae mate (vakai, Siope 2:9–10).

ʻOku pehē ʻe he folofolá, “Fakaʻapaʻapa ki hoʻo tamaí mo hoʻo faʻeé” (ʻEkesōtosi 20:12; vakai foki, Mōsaia 13:20). Taimi ʻe niʻihi kuo pau ke fili ha taha ke ne fai e finangalo ʻo e Tamai Hēvaní kae ʻikai ko e tamai fakamatelié.

ʻOku totonu ke tau ʻai ʻa e ʻOtuá, ʻa e Tamai ʻa hotau ngaahi laumālié, ke mahuʻinga taha Ia ʻi heʻetau moʻuí. Kuó Ne ʻosi maʻu ha totonu fakaemātuʻa ki hotau tuʻunga lelei taʻengatá, ʻo muʻomuʻa ange ʻi ha toe fetuʻutaki pē te ne fakatahaʻi kitautolu ʻi heni pe maama ka haʻú.

ʻOku haohaoa ʻa e ʻOtua ko ʻetau Tamaí; Sīsū, ko hotau Tokoua Lahi mo hotau Huhuʻí; mo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, ko e Faifakamoʻoní. ʻOku Nau ʻiloʻi lelei taha kitautolu mo ʻofa lahi taha kiate kitautolu pea he ʻikai ke Nau tuku taʻe-fakahoko ha meʻa koeʻuhí ko hotau tuʻunga lelei taʻengatá. ʻOku ʻikai ʻapē totonu ke tau ʻofa kiate kinautolu koeʻuhí ko ia pea tomuʻa fakalāngilangiʻi kinautolu?

ʻOku ʻi ai ha kāingalotu faivelenga ʻoku nau kau ki he Siasí neongo e fakafepaki ʻa honau kāinga ʻi he moʻui fakamatelié. ʻI heʻetau fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá, ʻoku hoko ha tokolahi kimui ange ko ha ngaahi meʻangāue ke tataki kinautolu ʻoku nau ʻofa aí ki he puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá.

Naʻe folofola ʻa Sīsū, “ʻOku ou fai maʻu ai pē ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku [fakahōifua ki he ʻOtuá] (Sione 8:29).

Ko e hā e tūkunga ʻi hotau ngaahi ʻapí? ʻOku tau fāifeinga nai ke fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e ʻEikí mo fakahōifua kiate Ia?

Ngaahi tamai, ʻe fakahōifua nai ki he ʻEikí kapau ʻe fai fakaʻaho ʻa e lotu fakafāmilí mo e lau folofolá ʻi homou ʻapí? Fēfē ʻa e fakahoko ʻo e ngaahi efiafi fakafāmili fakauiké mo e ʻi ai maʻu pē haʻo taimi fakafoʻituitui mo ho uaifí mo e fānaú takitahá? Pea kapau ʻe kiʻi hē fakataimi haʻo fānau, ʻokú ke pehē ʻe fakahōifua ki he ʻEikí pea te Ne fakaʻapaʻapaʻi hoʻo ngaahi feingá kapau te ke kei hoko atu ke moʻui ʻi ha tōʻonga moʻui lelei, ʻo lotu mo ʻaukai maʻu pē ki he fānau ko iá, mo fokotuʻu ʻa e hingoa ʻo e foha pe ʻofefine ko iá ʻi he lisi ʻo e lotu he temipalé?

Ko kimoutolu ngaahi faʻē, ʻa ia ʻoku fakafatongia mahino ʻaki hono ohi hake ʻo e toʻu tupu ʻo Saioné ʻi he māʻoniʻoní, ʻoku ʻikai ʻapē ke ke fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻaki hoʻo fua totonu ho fatongia fakalangí? … ʻOku fakamuʻomuʻa heʻetau ngaahi faʻeé ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻi he taimi ʻoku nau fakahoko ai honau misiona māʻolunga tahá ʻi loto he ngaahi holisi honau ngaahi ʻapí.

Fānau, ʻoku mou lotua nai hoʻomou mātuʻá? ʻOku mou feinga nai ke poupouʻi kinautolu ʻi heʻenau ngaahi ngāue fakaʻeiʻeikí? Te nau fai ha ngaahi fehalaaki, hangē pē ko kimoutolú, ka ʻoku ʻi ai hanau misiona fakalangi ke fakahoko ʻi hoʻomou moʻuí. ʻE lava nai ke mou tokoni ke nau fakahoko ia? Te mou lava ʻo ʻapē ke tānaki atu ha lāngilangi ki honau hingoá mo ʻomi ha fakafiemālie pea mo poupouʻi kinautolu ʻi honau taʻu motuʻá?

Kapau ʻoku fie mali ha taha mo koe mavahe mei he temipalé, ko hai te ke feinga ke fakahōifua ki aí— ko e ʻOtuá pe ko ha taha fakamatelie? Kapau te ke vilitaki ke mali ʻi he temipalé, te ke fakahōifua ki he ʻEikí mo tāpuekina ʻa e tokotaha ko ʻeé. Ko e hā hono ʻuhingá? Koeʻuhí he ko e tokotaha ko iá ʻe iku moʻui taau ke ʻalu ki he temipalé—ʻa ia ʻe hoko ko ha tāpuaki— pe ʻe mavahe—ʻa ia ʻe toe lava pē ke hoko mo ia ko ha tāpuaki—koeʻuhí he ʻoku ʻikai totonu ke mo fengāueʻaki taʻe tuʻunga tatau (vakai, 2 Kolinitō 6:14).

ʻOku totonu ke ke moʻui feʻunga mo e temipalé. Pea te ke toki ʻilo ʻoku hala ha taha ia ʻoku lelei feʻunga ke ke mali mo ia mavahe mei he temipalé. Kapau ʻoku lelei pehē ʻa e faʻahinga ko iá, te nau feinga ke aʻusia ha tuʻunga ʻe lava ai mo kinautolu ke mali ʻi he temipalé.8

Ko e taimi ʻoku tau fili ai ke fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻi heʻetau moʻuí, ʻoku hoko mai leva ʻEne ngaahi tāpuakí ʻo lahi fau.

Ko e tangata mo e fefine kuo momoi ʻene moʻuí maʻá e ʻOtuá te ne fakatokangaʻi ʻa e toe lahi ange ʻa e meʻa te ne lava ke fai ʻaki ʻene moʻuí. Te Ne toe fakalahi ange ʻa ʻenau fiefiá, fakalahi e mahino ʻoku nau maʻú, fakamāmaʻi honau ʻatamaí, fakamālohia honau ngaahi uouá, hiki hake honau laumālié, liuliunga honau ngaahi tāpuakí, fakalahi honau faingamālié, fakafiemālieʻi ʻenau moʻuí, fokotuʻu ha ngaahi kaungāmeʻa, pea mo lilingi atu ʻa e melinó. Ko ia ia ʻe mole ʻene moʻuí ʻi he ngāue maʻá e ʻOtuá te ne maʻu ʻa e moʻui taʻengatá.9

Naʻe kole ʻa e ʻOtuá kia ʻĒpalahame ke feilaulau ʻaki ʻa ʻAisake. Naʻe mei loto nai ki ai ʻa ʻĒpalahame ʻo kapau naʻe ʻofa ia ʻia ʻAisake ʻo laka ange ʻi he ʻOtuá? Hangē ko hono fakahaaʻi ʻe he ʻEikí ʻi he Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakavá, ʻoku fakatou hoko ʻa ʻĒpalahame mo ʻAisake he taimí ni ko e ongo ʻotua (vakai, T&F 132:37). Naʻá na loto fiemālie ke foaki pe ke ʻohake ia hangē ko e fie maʻu ʻa e ʻOtuá. ʻOkú na feʻofaʻaki mo fefakaʻapaʻapaʻaki lahi ange koeʻuhí he naʻá na fakatou loto fiemālie ke fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá.

ʻOku akoʻi mai ʻe he Tohi ʻa Molomoná “ʻoku totonu ke ʻi ai ʻa e fehangahangai ʻi he meʻa kotoa pē” (2 Nīfai 2:11)—pea ʻoku ʻi ai ia. ʻOku ʻomi ʻe he fehangahangaí ha ngaahi fili ke tau fai, pea ʻomi ʻe he ngaahi filí ha ngaahi ola—lelei pe kovi.

ʻOku fakamatalaʻi ʻe he Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻoku “tauʻatāina ʻa e tangatá … ke fili ʻa e tauʻatāiná mo e moʻui taʻengatá, tuʻunga ʻi he Fakalaloa lahi ʻo e faʻahinga kotoa ʻo e tangatá, pe fili ʻa e pōpulá mo e maté, ʻi heʻenau pōpula mo moʻulaloa ki he mālohi ʻo e tēvoló” (2 Nīfai 2:27).

ʻOku ʻofa ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻiate kitautolu; ka ʻoku fehiʻa ʻa e tēvoló ia ʻiate kitautolu. ʻOku finangalo ʻa e ʻOtuá ke tau maʻu ʻa e kakato ʻo e fiefiá ʻo hangē ko Iá. Ko e loto ʻo e tēvoló ke tau mamahi ʻo hangē ko iá. ʻOku foaki mai ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻa e ngaahi fekaú ke tāpuekina kitautolu. ʻOku feinga leva ʻa e tēvoló ke tau maumauʻi ʻa e ngaahi fekau ko ʻení, koeʻuhí ke fakamalaʻiaʻi ʻa kitautolu.

ʻOku tau fili fakaʻaho, maʻu ai pē, ʻo fakatatau mo ʻetau ngaahi holí, ʻetau ngaahi fakakaukaú, pea mo ʻetau ngaahi angafaí pe ʻoku tau loto ke tāpuekina pe fakamalaʻiaʻi kitautolu, pe fiefia pe mamahi. Ko e taha ʻo e ngaahi faingataʻa ʻo e moʻuí ko e ʻikai ke tau faʻa maʻu vave ʻa e tāpuaki kakato ki he māʻoniʻoní pe ko e fakamalaʻia kakato ki he fai angahalá. ʻOku pau ʻe hoko mai, ka ko e taimi lahi, ʻoku ʻi ai ha vahaʻataimi tatali ʻoku hoko, ʻo hangē ko ia ne hoko kia Siope mo Siosefá.

Lolotonga iá, ʻoku fakakaukau ʻa e kau angahalá ʻoku nau hao ʻi ha meʻa. Naʻe akoʻi ʻe he Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻoku “maʻu [ʻe he kau angahalá] ʻa e fiefia ʻi heʻenau ngaahi ngāué ʻi ha taimi siʻi, [ka] ʻe faifai pē pea ʻe hokosia ʻa e ngataʻangá, pea ʻe tā hifo ʻa kinautolu ʻo laku ki he ʻafí, ʻa ia ʻoku ʻikai faʻa foki mei ai” (3 Nīfai 27:11).

Kuo pau ke hoko atu e ʻofa ʻa e kau māʻoniʻoní ki he ʻOtuá he lolotonga ʻo e taimi siviʻi ko ʻení, ʻo falala ki Heʻene ngaahi talaʻofá, faʻa kātaki, pea mo ʻiloʻi pau, ʻo hangē ko e lau ʻa e punake faʻu māú, “ko ia ʻokú ne fai e ngāue ʻa e ʻOtuá te ne maʻu e totongi ʻa e ʻOtuá.” …

ʻOku ou fakamoʻoni atu ko e totongi ʻa e ʻOtuá ko e totongi lelei taha ia ʻoku ʻilo ʻe he māmani ko ʻení pe ʻoku ʻilo ʻe ha toe māmani ki ai. Pea ʻoku maʻu lahi ʻaupito ia ʻe kinautolu pē ʻoku ʻofa ʻi he ʻEikí mo fakamuʻomuʻa Iá.

Ko e ngāue maʻongoʻonga ʻo e moʻuí ke ʻilo e finangalo ʻo e ʻEikí pea fakahoko ia.

Ko e fekau lahi ʻo e moʻuí, “Ke ʻofa ki [he ʻEiki] ko ho ʻOtuá ʻaki ho lotó kotoa, pea mo ho laumālié kotoa, mo ho ʻatamaí kotoa, mo ho mālohí kotoa” (Maʻake 12:30).

ʻOfa ke tāpuakiʻi kitautolu ʻe he ʻOtuá ke tau fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e fekau ʻuluakí, pea ko hono olá, te tau maʻu ha nonga ʻi he moʻuí ni pea mo e moʻui taʻengatá mo ha fiefia kakato ʻi he moʻui kahaʻú.10
