Ngaahi Tefitoʻi Moʻoni ʻo e Fakatomala Moʻoní

“Ko kinautolu ʻoku nau fakahoko ʻa e fie maʻu ʻo e fakatomala moʻoní, ʻoku mahino ʻa e talaʻofá. ʻE lava pē ke ke toe maʻa. ʻE lava ke toʻo atu ʻa e mole ʻo e ʻamanakí. ʻE taumalingi mai ʻa e nonga fakafiefia ʻo e fakamolemolé ki hoʻo moʻuí.”

Mei he Moʻui ʻa ʻEselā Tafu Penisoní

Naʻe pehē ʻe Palesiteni ʻEselā Tafu Penisoni ʻi heʻene fuofua lea he konifelenisi lahí ko e Palesiteni ʻo e Siasí: “ʻI heʻeku kolea ha fakahinohino mei he ʻEikí, kuo fakapapauʻi mai ai ki hoku ʻatamaí mo hoku lotó ʻa e folofola ʻa e ʻEikí ke ʻʻoua ʻe lea ʻaki ha meʻa ka ko e fakatomalá pē ki he toʻu tangatá ni.ʻ (T&F 6:9; 11:9.) Kuo hoko ʻeni ko ha kaveinga ʻa e palōfita kotoa ʻo e ngaahi ʻaho kimui ní.”1

Naʻe ʻai ʻe Palesiteni Penisoni ʻa e fakatomalá ko ha kaveinga mahuʻinga ʻi heʻene ngāué, kimuʻa pē ia pea toki ui ko e Palesiteni ʻo e Siasí. Naʻe faleʻi ia ke fai pehē ʻe Siaosi ʻAlipate Sāmita, ko e Palesiteni ʻo e Kōlomu ʻo e Kau ʻAposetolo ʻe Toko Hongofulu Mā Uá he taimi ko iá. Naʻe pehē ʻe Palesiteni Sāmita ʻi ha tohi naʻe fai ʻi he teʻeki fuoloa hono ui ia ki he tuʻunga fakaeʻaposetoló, “Ko ho misioná mei heni ʻo faai atu ke kumi ha ngaahi founga ke fakamafola ai ʻa e moʻoní mo fakatokanga ki he kakai te ke fetuʻutaki mo iá, pea ʻi he founga angaʻofa taha ʻe lavá ko e fakatomalá pē taha ʻa e fakalelei ki he ngaahi palopalema ʻo e māmani ko ʻení.”2

Naʻe fai pau ʻa Palesiteni Penisoni ki he tukupā ko ʻení ʻi heʻene akoʻi ʻa e ongoongoleleí he funga ʻo e māmaní.

“ʻOku ngāue ʻa e ʻEikí mei loto ki tuʻa. ʻOku ngāue ʻa e māmaní mei tuʻa ki loto. ʻOku toʻo ʻe he māmaní ʻa e kakaí mei he koví. ʻOku toʻo ʻe Kalaisi ʻa e koví mei he kakaí pea nau toki toʻo ʻa kinautolu mei he koví. ʻE fakafōtunga ʻe māmani ʻa e tangatá ʻaki hono liliu honau ʻātakaí. ʻOku liliuʻi ʻe Kalaisi ʻa e tangatá pea toki liliu ʻe he tangatá honau ʻātakaí. ʻOku fakafōtungaʻi ʻe māmani ʻa e ʻulungaanga ʻo e tangatá, ka ʻe lava ʻe Kalaisi ke liliu e ʻulungaanga ʻo e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá …

“ʻIo, ʻoku liliu ʻe Kalaisi ʻa e tangatá, pea ʻe lava ʻe he kakai kuo liliú ʻo liliu ʻa e māmaní.”5

Naʻe folofola ʻa e ʻEikí, “ʻʻOku feʻunga ʻa ʻeku ʻofá ki he tangata kotoa pē ʻoku nau fakavaivaiʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻi hoku ʻaó” (ʻEta 12:27).

Ngaahi Akonaki ʻa ʻEselā Tafu Penisoní

1

Kuo pau ke tau ʻuluaki ʻiloʻi ko e palani ʻo e ongoongoleleí ko e palani ia ʻo e fiefiá, ka tau fakatomala moʻoni.

ʻI he ʻuhinga angamahení, ko e foʻi lea mēmipa ʻo e Siasí ʻoku ʻuhinga ia kuo ʻosi lekooti moʻoni ʻa e hingoa ʻo e tokotahá ʻi he ngaahi lekooti memipasipi ʻo e Siasí. …

Ka ʻoku fakamatalaʻi ʻe he ʻEikí ia ha mēmipa ʻi hono puleʻangá ʻi ha founga ʻoku kehe ange. Naʻe pehē ʻe he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá ʻi he 1828, “Vakai, ko ʻeku tokāteliné ʻeni—ʻilonga ia ʻoku fakatomala mo haʻu kiate aú, ko hoku siasí ia.” (T&F 10:67; ko e toki tānaki atu e mataʻi tohi fakahihifí.) Kiate Ia ko e taki ʻo e Siasi ko ʻení, ʻoku mahulu atu ʻa e tuʻunga mēmipá ia ʻi he hoko pē ko ha mēmipa ʻo e lekōtí.

ʻOku ou fie fokotuʻu atu ai ha ngaahi fakakaukau mahuʻinga kuo pau ke mahino kiate kitautolu mo tau fakaʻaongaʻi kapau te tau fakatomala moʻoni pea haʻu ki he ʻEikí.

Ko e taha ʻo e ngaahi kākā ʻoku faʻa ngāue ʻaki ʻe Sētané ko e fakakaukau ko ia ko e ngaahi fekau ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻoku fakataumuʻa ia ke ne fakangatangata ʻetau tauʻatāiná mo fakangatangata ʻetau fiefiá. ʻOku faʻa ongoʻi ʻe he toʻu kei talavoú he taimi ʻe niʻihi tokua ko e ngaahi tuʻunga moʻui ʻa e ʻEikí ʻoku nau hangē ha ngaahi ʻā mo ha ngaahi seini ʻoku nau taʻofi kinautolu mei he ngaahi ʻekitivitī ʻoku fakafiefia taha ʻi he moʻuí. Ka ko hono fehangahangaí ʻoku moʻoní. Ko e palani ʻo e ongoongoleleí ʻa e palani ʻoku ʻomai ai ʻa e tangatá ki he kakato ʻo e fiefiá. Ko e ʻuluaki fakakaukau ʻeni ʻoku ou fie fakamamafaʻí.

Naʻe fakatupu ʻe he mahino ʻo e foʻi fakakaukau ko ʻení ke kalanga ai ʻa e Tangata Faʻu Samé, “ʻOku ou ʻofa lahi ki hoʻo fonó! … Kuó ke ngaohi au ʻi hoʻo ngaahi fekaú ke u poto hake ʻi hoku ngaahi filí. … Ko hoʻo folofolá ko e tūhulu ia ki hoku vaʻé, mo e maama ki hoku halá. … Kuó u maʻu ʻa hoʻo ngaahi fakamoʻoní ko hoku tofiʻa ʻo lauikuonga: he ko e fiefiaʻanga ia ʻo hoku lotó.” (Saame 119:97–98, 105, 111.)

Kapau ʻoku tau fakaʻamu ke tau fakatomala moʻoni pea haʻu kiate Ia koeʻuhí ke lava ʻo ui kitautolu ko e kāingalotu ʻo Hono Siasí, kuo pau ke tau fuofua pea mo ʻuluaki ʻiloʻi ʻa e foʻi moʻoni taʻengata ko ʻení — ko e palani ʻo e ongoongoleleí ʻa e palani ʻo e fiefiá. Naʻe ʻikai, pea ʻoku ʻikai, pe he ʻikai teitei ʻomai ʻe he faiangahalá kiate kitautolu ha fiefia [vakai, ʻAlamā 41:10]. Ko e meʻa pē ʻoku ʻomai ʻe he maumauʻi ʻo e ngaahi fono ʻa e ʻOtuá ko e mamahi, pōpula, mo e fakapoʻuli.6

ʻOku muʻomuʻa ʻa e tui kia Sīsū Kalaisí ʻi he fakatomala moʻoní.

Ko e fakakaukau hono ua ʻoku mahuʻinga ke mahino kiate kitautolú ko e fekauʻaki ʻo e fakatomalá mo e tefitoʻi moʻoni ʻo e tuí. Ko e fakatomalá ko e tefitoʻi moʻoni hono ua ia ʻo e ongoongoleleí. Ko e ʻuluakí, kuo pau ke tau tui ki he ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí. Ko e hā hono ʻuhingá? Ko e hā kuo pau muʻomuʻa ai ʻa e tui ki he ʻEikí ʻi he fakatomala moʻoní?

Ke tali e fehuʻi ko ʻení, kuo pau ke mahino kiate kitautolu ha meʻa fekauʻaki mo e feilaulau fakalelei ʻa e ʻEikí. Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Līhai “ʻoku ʻikai ha taha ʻe lava ʻo nofo ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá, kae ngata pē ʻi he ngaahi ngāue maʻoniʻoni, mo e ʻaloʻofa, mo e manavaʻofa ʻa e Mīsaia Māʻoniʻoní.” (2 Nīfai 2:8.) Naʻa mo e tangata faitotonu mo angatonu tahá he ʻikai ke ne lava ʻo fakahaofi pē ʻe ia ʻa ia ʻi heʻene ngaahi ngāué, he ʻoku hangē ko hono talamai ʻe he ʻAposetolo ko Paulá, “kuo faiangahala kotoa pē, pea tōmui ʻi he fakamālō mei he ʻOtuá.” (Loma 3:23.)

Ka ne taʻe-ʻoua e moʻui haohaoa mo taʻe-ha-angahala ʻa e Fakamoʻuí, ʻa ē naʻá Ne tuku hifo ʻi he loto fiemālie maʻatautolú, he ʻikai lava ke ʻi ai ha fakamolemole ʻo e ngaahi angahalá.

Ko ia, ʻoku ope atu ʻa e ʻuhinga ʻo e fakatomalá mei he fakaleleiʻi pē ʻo e ʻulungāngá. ʻOku fakafōtunga ʻe ha kau tangata mo ha kau fafine tokolahi ʻi he māmaní ha lototoʻa lahi mo mapuleʻi kinautolu ʻi he ikunaʻi ʻo e ngaahi ʻulungaanga koví pea mo e ngaahi vaivai ʻo e kakanó. Ka ʻi he taimi tatau pē ʻoku ʻikai ke nau fakakaukau ki he ʻEikí, pea aʻu he taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻo nau fakafisingaʻi fakahāhā Ia.

Ko e tui ki he ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí ko e fakavaʻe ia kuo pau ke kamata ai ʻa e fakatomala fakamātoato mo moʻoní. Kapau ʻoku tau feinga moʻoni ke siʻaki ʻa e angahalá, kuo pau ke tau ʻuluaki tafoki kiate Ia ko e Tupuʻanga ʻo hotau fakamoʻuí.7

3

ʻOku kau ʻi he fakatomalá ha fuʻu liliu lahi ʻo e lotó.

Ko e tefitoʻi moʻoni mahuʻinga hono tolu ke mahino kiate kitautolu kapau te tau hoko ko e kāingalotu moʻoni ʻo e Siasí, ko e fakatomalá ʻoku ʻikai ngata pē ʻene kau ai ʻa e liliu ʻo e ngaahi tōʻongá, ka mo e liliu ʻo e lotó.

Ko e taimi naʻe fakaʻosi ai ʻe he Tuʻi ko Penisimaní ʻene malanga fakaofo ʻi he fonua ko Seilahemalá, naʻe kalanga ʻa e kakaí kotoa ʻi he leʻo pē taha naʻa nau tui ki heʻene ngaahi leá.

ʻE lava nai e loto ʻo e tangatá ke liliu? Ko e hā hono ʻuhingá! ʻOku hoko ia he ʻaho kotoa pē ʻi he ngāue fakafaifekau maʻongoʻonga ʻo e Siasí. Ko e taha ia ʻo e ngaahi mana fakaonopooni ʻa Kalaisi kuo mafola lahi tahá. Kapau kuo teʻeki hoko ia kiate koe—ʻoku totonu ke hoko.

Naʻe fakahā ʻe hotau ʻEikí kia Nikotīmasi “kapau ʻe ʻikai fanauʻi foʻou ha tangata, ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito mamata ia ki he puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá.” (Sione 3:3.) …

ʻOku pehē ʻe ʻAlamā: “Pea naʻe folofola mai ʻa e ʻEikí kiate au: ʻOua ʻe ofo he ko e faʻahinga kotoa ʻo e tangata kotoa pē, ʻio, ʻa e tangata mo e fefine, ʻa e ngaahi puleʻangá, mo e ngaahi faʻahingá, mo e ngaahi leá, mo e kakai kotoa pē, kuo pau ke fanauʻi foʻou; ʻio, ke nau fanauʻi ʻi he ʻOtuá, ʻo liliu mei honau tuʻunga fakakakano mo tō ki laló, ki ha tuʻunga ʻo e anga-māʻoniʻoni, kuo huhuʻi ʻe he ʻOtuá, ʻo hoko ko hono ngaahi foha mo hono ngaahi ʻofefine;

“Pea ʻoku nau hoko ai ko ha kakai foʻou; pea ka ʻikai ke nau fai ʻeni, ʻe ʻikai te nau teitei lava ʻo maʻu ʻa e puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá.” (Mōsaia 27:25–26.) …

Naʻe fakamatalaʻi ʻe he vahe fā ʻo e tohi ʻa ʻAlamaá ha vahaʻataimi ʻi he hisitōlia ʻo e kau Nīfaí naʻe “kamata ke tuʻu ʻa e siasí ʻi heʻene laka ki muʻá.” (ʻAlamā 4:10.) Naʻe fakaleleiʻi ʻe ʻAlamā ʻa e palopalemá ni ʻaki ʻene fakafisi mei hono tuʻunga ko e fakamaau lahi ʻi he puleʻangá “[kae tukutaha] hono kotoa ʻo ʻene ngāué ki he lakanga fakataulaʻeiki māʻolungá” ʻa ia naʻe ʻiate iá. (ʻAlamā 4:20.)

Naʻá ne valokiʻi “ʻi he fakamoʻoni haohaoa” ʻa e kakaí (ʻAlamā 4:19), pea ʻokú ne fai ʻi he vahe nima ʻo e Tohi ʻa ʻAlamaá ha ngaahi fehuʻi mātuʻaki mahuʻinga ʻe fāngofulu tupu. Naʻá ne pehē, ʻi heʻene lea mahino ki he kāingalotu ʻo e Siasí, “ʻOku ou fehuʻi kiate kimoutolu, ʻe hoku kāinga ʻo e siasí, kuo mou fanauʻi fakalaumālie koā ʻi he ʻOtuá? Kuo mou maʻu koā hono tataú ʻi homou fofongá? Kuo mou ongoʻi koā ʻa e fuʻu liliu lahí ni ʻi homou lotó?” (ʻAlamā 5:14.)

Naʻá ne hoko atu, “Kapau kuo mou ongoʻi ha liliu ʻi homou lotó, pea kapau kuo mou fie hiva ʻaki ʻa e hiva ʻo ʻene ʻofa huhuʻí, ʻoku ou fie fehuʻi atu, pe ʻoku mou lava ʻo ongoʻi pehē he taimí ni?” (ʻAlamā 5:26.)

ʻOku ʻikai ʻapē totonu ke lahi ange ʻaupito ʻa e fakalakalaka ʻa e Siasí he ʻahó ni ʻi he tokolahi ange ʻo kinautolu kuo fanauʻi fakalaumālié? ʻOku mou lava ʻo sioloto ki he meʻa ʻe hoko ʻi hotau ngaahi ʻapí? ʻOku mou lava ʻo sioloto ki he meʻa ʻe hoko ʻi he lahi ange ʻo e ngaahi Tohi ʻa Molomona ʻoku maʻu ʻe he kau faifekau ʻoku fakautuutu honau tokolahí mo nau ʻiloʻi e anga hono fakaʻaongaʻí pea kuo nau ʻosi fanauʻi ʻi he ʻOtuá? Ko e taimi ʻe hoko ai ʻení, ʻe mahu tafea ʻetau ututaʻu ʻo e ngaahi laumālie ne ʻosi talaʻofa ʻe he ʻEikí. Ko e ʻAlamā ʻeni ko e faifekau “kuo fanauʻi ʻi he ʻOtuá” naʻá ne lava lelei ke ʻoatu ʻa e folofolá ʻo lava ai mo ha niʻihi kehe ke fanauʻi ʻi he ʻOtuá. (Vakai, ʻAlamā 36:23–26.)9

Book of Mormon prophet Alma the Younger depicted lying on a bed. He is just waking up from being struck dumb and repenting of his sins. Alma has his hand against his head.

Naʻe aʻusia ʻe ʻAlamā ko e Siʻí, ha liliu fakaofo ʻo e lotó ʻo fakafou ʻi he fakatomalá.

Ko e taimi ʻoku tau foua ai ʻa e fuʻu liliu lahi ko ʻení, ʻa ia ʻoku toki hoko pē ʻi he tui kia Sīsū Kalaisi mo e ngāue ʻa e Laumālié ʻiate kitautolú, ʻoku hangē pē ia kuo tau hoko ko ha tangata foʻoú Ko ia, ʻoku fakatatau ʻa e liliú ki ha fanauʻi foʻou. Kuo aʻusia ʻe hamou lauiafe ʻa e liliu ko ʻení. Kuo mou siʻaki ʻa e moʻui angahalá, pea ko e taimi ʻe niʻihi ko ha angahala fulikivanu mo fakamamahi, pea ʻi hono fakaʻaongaʻi e taʻataʻa ʻo Kalaisí ʻi hoʻomou moʻuí, kuo mou maʻa ai. ʻOku ʻikai haʻamou toe holi ke mou foki ki he ngaahi tōʻonga motuʻá. ʻOkú ke hoko ko ha tangata foʻou moʻoni. Ko e ʻuhinga ʻeni ʻo e liliu ʻo e lotó.10

4

ʻOku fakatau ʻa e mamahi faka-ʻOtuá ki he fakatomala moʻoni.

Ko e fakakaukau hono fā ʻoku ou fie fakamamafaʻí ko e meʻa ʻoku lau ʻe he folofolá ko e “mamahi faka-ʻotua” ʻi heʻetau ngaahi angahalá. ʻOku ʻikai ko ha meʻa foʻou ia ke ʻiloʻi ha houʻeiki tangata mo fafine ʻi he māmaní ʻoku nau mamahi koeʻuhí ko e ngaahi meʻa hala ne nau fakahokó. ʻOku faʻa hoko ʻeni he taimi ʻe niʻihi koeʻuhí ʻoku hanga ʻe heʻenau tōʻongá ʻo fakamamahiʻi mo fakataʻelataʻi kinautolu pe ko ha kakai ʻoku nau ʻofa ai. Taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻoku nau mamahi ʻi hano maʻu pea tauteaʻi kinautolu ʻi he ngaahi ngāue ʻoku nau faí. ʻOku ʻikai tatau ʻa e ʻmamahi faka-ʻOtuáʻ mo e ngaahi ongo fakaemāmani ko ʻení.”

… ʻI he ngaahi ʻaho fakaʻosi ʻo e puleʻanga ʻo e kau Nīfaí, naʻe talaange ai ʻe Molomona ki hono kakaí: “naʻe ʻikai tupu ʻenau loto mamahí ki he fakatomalá, koeʻuhí ko e angalelei ʻa e ʻOtuá; ka ko e loto mamahi ia ʻa e kau malaʻiá, koeʻuhí ʻe ʻikai tuku maʻu pē ʻe he ʻEikí ke nau fiefia ʻi he fai angahalá.

“Pea naʻe ʻikai te nau haʻu kia Sīsū mo e loto mafesifesi mo e laumālie fakatomala, ka naʻa nau lea kovi ki he ʻOtuá mo fakaʻamu ke nau mate.” (Molomona 2:13–14.)

Naʻe ngāue ʻa e ʻAposetolo ko Paulá ʻi he Hemisifia Hahaké, ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo e kakai ʻo Kolinitoó. Hili e fakahoko mai e lipooti ʻo e ngaahi palopalema ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo e Kāingalotú, kau ai ʻa e angaʻulí (vakai, 1 Kolinitō. 5:1), ne fai ʻe Paula ha tohi valoki māsila. Naʻe tali ʻe he kakaí ʻi he laumālie totonu, pea naʻe iku fakaleleiʻi leva ʻa e ngaahi palopalemá, he naʻe tohi ʻe Paula ʻi heʻene tohi hono ua kiate kinautolú, ʻo pehē: “ko ʻeni, ʻoku ou fiefia ʻoku ʻikai ʻi homou fakamamahiʻí, ka ʻi homou mamahi ki he fakatomalá: he naʻa mou mamahi ʻo taau mo e ʻOtuá. …

“He ko e mamahi ʻoku taau mo e ʻOtuá ʻokú ne langaki ʻa e fakatomala ki he fakamoʻuí, ʻe ʻikai toe fakatomala ai: ka ko e mamahi fakamāmá, ʻokú ne langaki ʻa e maté.” (2 Kolinitō 7:9–10.)

ʻOku fakaʻuhingaʻi ʻa e mamahi fakaʻotuá ʻi he ongo potufolofolá ni fakatouʻosi ko ha mamahi ʻokú ne ʻai ke tau fakatomala.

Ko e mamahi faka-ʻOtuá ko ha meʻafoaki ia ʻa e Laumālié. Ko hano ʻiloʻi moʻoni ia kuo fakatupu houhau ʻetau ngaahi angafaí ki heʻetau Tamaí mo hotau ʻOtuá. Ko e ʻiloʻi pau mo e mahino ko ia naʻe fakatupu heʻetau angafaí ʻa e Fakamoʻuí, ʻa ē naʻe ʻikai Haʻane angahalá, ko e lahi taha ʻi he taha kotoa peé, ke Ne kātekina ʻa e mamahí mo e faingataʻá. Naʻe fakatupu ʻe heʻetau ngaahi angahalá ke tautaʻa toto ʻi he ava kotoa ʻo Hono kilí. Ko e mamahi fakaʻatamai mo fakalaumālie moʻoni ʻeni naʻe lau ʻe he folofolá ko e “loto mafesifesi mo ha laumālie fakatomala.” (Vakai, 3 Nīfai 9:20; Molonai. 6:2; T&F 20:37; 59:8; Ngaahi Same 34:18; 51:17; ʻIsaia 57:15.) Ko e faʻahinga laumālie peheé ko e fuofua fie maʻu ia kimuʻa ʻi he fakatomala moʻoní.11

ʻOku vēkeveke ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní mo Sīsū Kalaisi ke vakai ʻoku lililu ʻetau moʻuí, pea te Na tokoniʻi kitautolu.

Ko e tefitoʻi moʻoni ʻeni hono hoko ʻoku ou fie fakamatalaʻí: ʻOku ʻikai ha taha ia ʻe toe vēkeveke lahi ange ke mamata ʻoku liliu ʻetau moʻuí ʻi he Tamaí mo e Fakamoʻuí. ʻOku ʻi he tohi Fakahaá ha fakaafe kāfakafa mo mahuʻinga mei he Fakamoʻuí. ʻOkú Ne pehē, “Vakai, ʻoku ou tuʻu ʻi he matapaá, mo tukituki: kapau ʻe fanongo ʻe ha taha ki hoku leʻó, mo toʻo ʻa e matapaá, te u hū atu kiate ia.” (Fakahā 3:20.) Fakatokangaʻi ange ʻoku ʻikai ke Ne pehē, “ʻOku ou tuʻu ʻi he matapaá ʻo talitali ke ke tukituki.” ʻOkú Ne ui, taʻalo, mo kole ke tau fakaava pē hotau lotó pea tuku ke Ne hū mai.

ʻOku toe akoʻi mahino ange ʻa e tefitoʻi moʻoní ʻi he malanga maʻongoʻonga ʻa Molonai ʻi he tuí. Naʻe fakahā kiate ia ʻe he ʻEikí, “Kapau ʻe haʻu kiate au ʻa e tangatá te u fakahā kiate kinautolu ʻa honau vaivaí. ʻOku ou foaki ki he tangatá ʻa e vaivaí koeʻuhí ke nau loto-fakatōkilalo; pea ʻoku feʻunga ʻa ʻeku ʻofá ki he tangata kotoa pē.” ʻOku ʻikai mahuʻinga ia pe ko e hā ʻoku tau masiva aí pe ko hotau vaivaiʻangá pe ko ʻetau taʻe-tāú. ʻOku feʻunga pē ʻa ʻene ngaahi meʻafoakí mo e ngaahi mālohí ke ikunaʻi kotoa kinautolu.

ʻOku hoko atu ʻa Molonai ʻaki e ngaahi folofola ʻa e ʻEikí: “ʻOku feʻunga ʻa ʻeku ʻofá ki he tangata kotoa pē ʻoku nau fakavaivaiʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻi hoku ʻaó; he kapau te nau fakavaivaiʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻi hoku ʻaó, pea tui kiate au, te u liliu ʻa e ngaahi meʻa vaivaí ko e mālohi kiate kinautolu.” (ʻEta 12:27; ko e toki tānaki atu ʻa e mataʻitohi fakahihifí.)

Naʻe pehē ʻe ʻIsaia, “ʻOkú ne foaki ʻa e mālohí ki he vaivaí; pea kiate kinautolu ʻoku ʻikai hanau mālohí ʻokú ne fakatupu ʻa e mālohi.” (ʻIsaia 40:29.) Naʻe fakahā kia Paula ʻe he ʻEikí, “Ko ʻeku tokoní ʻe lahi maʻau: he kuo fakakakato ʻeku mālohí ʻi hoʻo vaivaí.”
