Ko e Tohi ʻa Molomoná—Ko e Maka-tuʻu-loto ʻo ʻEtau Tui Fakalotú

“ʻOku ʻikai ʻapē ha meʻa ʻi hotau lotó ʻoku fakaʻānaua ke ʻunu ʻo ofi ange ki he ʻOtuá? … Kapau ʻoku pehē, ta ʻe tokoni ʻa e Tohi ʻa Molomoná ke tau toutou fakahoko ʻo tuʻo lahi ange ʻi ha toe tohi.”

Mei he Moʻui ʻa ʻEselā Tafu Penisoní

Naʻe “ongo moʻoni” ki he Kāingalotu ʻo e Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní ʻi heʻenau fanongo ki heʻene leá. ʻI heʻene leá, “naʻe fakamoʻoni ki he mālohi ʻo e Tohi ʻa Molomoná ke liliu e moʻuí mo taki ʻa e kakaí kia Kalaisí.” Naʻá ne fakahoko ai ha “tukupā fakavavevave [ke] ako ʻa e tohi folofola ko ʻení.”1

Naʻe ʻikai ke foʻou ʻa e pōpoaki ko ʻení ia ʻi he ngāue ʻa Palesiteni Penisoní. Naʻá ne fakatokanga, “Ka ʻikai ke tau lau ʻa e Tohi ʻa Molomoná mo talangofua ki hono ngaahi akonakí, kuo ʻosi fakahā ʻe he ʻEikí ʻi he vahe 84 ʻo e Tohi Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakavá ʻoku fakahalaiaʻi ʻa e Siasí kakato: ʻPea ko e fakahalaia ko ʻení ʻoku nofo ia ʻi he fānau ʻo Saioné, ʻio, ʻa hono kotoaʻ [T&F 84:56]. ʻOku hoko atu ʻa e ʻEikí: “Pea te nau moʻulaloa ki he fakahalaia ko ʻení kae ʻoua ke nau fakatomala pea manatuʻi ʻa e fuakava foʻoú, ʻio, ʻa e Tohi ʻa Molomoná mo e ngaahi fekau ʻi muʻa naʻá ku ʻoange kiate kinautolú, ʻo ʻikai ke lea ʻaki pē ia, ka ke fai ʻo fakatatau ki he meʻa kuó u tohíʻ [T&F 84:57].”5

Ko e Tohi ʻa Molomoná ko e maka-tuʻu-loto ia ʻo ʻetau tui fakalotú.

Ko e hā hono lahi e mahuʻinga ʻo e Tohi ʻa Molomoná? Naʻe ui ia ʻe Siosefa Sāmitá “ko e maka-tuʻu-loto ʻo ʻetau tui fakalotú.” (History of the Church, 4:461.) Naʻá ne pehē, “Toʻo ʻa e Tohi ʻa Molomoná mo e ngaahi fakahaá, pea ʻe ʻi fē leva ʻetau tui fakalotú? ʻOku tau halaʻatā.» (History of the Church, 2:52.)10

Ko e maka-tuʻu-lotó, ko e foʻi maka ia ʻi lotomālie ʻi ha ʻāleso. ʻOkú ne puke fakatahaʻi ʻa e ngaahi maká kotoa ke tuʻu maʻu, pea kapau ʻe toʻo ia, ʻe holo leva ʻa e ʻālesó.
