Naʻe pehē ange ʻe ʻŌliva, “ʻE Misa Uiliami, ne fekauʻi mai ʻe he ʻOtuá haʻane ʻāngelo māʻoniʻoni ke ne fakahā mai e moʻoni ʻo hono liliú kiate kimautolu, pea ko ia ai, ʻoku mau ʻiloʻi [ʻoku moʻoni ia]. Pea neongo ʻe tāmateʻi kimautolu ʻe he kau fakatangá, ka kuo pau ke mau mate ʻoku mau fakahaaʻi ʻa hono moʻoní.”

Naʻe tānaki atu ʻe Tēvita ʻo pehē, “Kuo talaatu ʻe ʻŌliva ʻa e moʻoni toputapú, koeʻuhí he ʻikai kākaaʻi kimautolu. ʻOku ou fakahaaʻi atu kiate koe ʻi he loto totonu ʻa hono moʻoní!”6

Naʻe ʻiloʻi ʻe Tēvita, Māteni, Hailame, ʻŌliva, pea mo Uiliami naʻe liliu ʻe Siosefa Sāmita ʻa e Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻaki ʻa e mālohi ʻo e ʻOtuá. Ne nau ʻiloʻi naʻe moʻoni ʻa e ongoongolelei ne hiki ʻi he ʻū lauʻi peleti koulá. Ka kimui ange ʻi heʻenau moʻuí, ne fakautuutu ʻenau taʻefiemālie ʻia Siosefá ʻo aʻu ki ha taimi ne ʻikai ke nau toe moʻui ʻaki ai e ngaahi akonaki ʻo e Tohi ʻa Molomoná.

Naʻe tohi ʻe Seli ʻo pehē, “Te u pikitai ki he tui ko ia ʻoku hangē ha tengaʻi mūsitá. ʻOku ou ongoʻi hono mālohí ʻi hoku lotó he taimí ni. ʻOku ou kei maʻu pē ʻa e tui mālohi tatau mo e taimi ne papitaiso ai kimautolú pea ʻoku ou kei maʻu pē ʻa e ongo tatau he taimí ni. Te u pikitai ki he ongoongoleleí ʻo aʻu ki heʻeku mate.”9

Lota Kulini: “Naʻá Ne Maʻu ʻa e Laumālie ʻo e ʻOtuá”

Naʻe tali ʻe Lota ha tatau ʻo e tohí ke ne lau pea fakaʻaliʻali ki hono husepānití. ʻI he foki mai ʻa Samuela ʻi ha taimi kimui angé, naʻe talaange ʻe Lota ne ʻikai saiʻia hono husepānití [ʻi he tohí], pea he ʻikai ke ne lava ʻo fakatau mai ʻa e tohí. Naʻe pehē ange ʻe Samuela kia Lota, “ʻOku taʻofi au ʻe he Laumālié ke ʻoua naʻá ku ʻave ʻa e tohi ko ʻení,” ne tuʻulutui ʻa Lota ʻo ne kole kia Samuela ke na lotu fakataha. Ne u ongoʻi ha ueʻi mālohi naʻe fakahaaʻi mai, “ʻOkú ke ʻosi ʻiloʻi pē ʻoku moʻoni ia.” Ne ongo fakataha mai ia mo ha loto-nonga ne teʻeki ke u fakaʻamu ke fakafepakiʻi.
