Way See also Jesus Christ; Walk, Walk with God The path or course a person follows. Jesus said He was the way (John 14:4–6). Keep the commandments of the Lord to walk in his ways, Deut. 8:6. Train up a child in the way he should go, Prov. 22:6 (2 Ne. 4:5). The Lord said his ways are higher than our ways, Isa. 55:8–9. Strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life, Matt. 7:13–14 (3 Ne. 14:13–14; 27:33; D&C 132:22, 25). God will make a way for you to escape temptation, 1 Cor. 10:13. The Lord gives no commandment that he does not prepare a way for his children to keep, 1 Ne. 3:7 (1 Ne. 9:6; 17:3, 13). There is none other way except it be by the gate, 2 Ne. 9:41. Ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life, 2 Ne. 10:23. This is the way and there is no other way nor name, 2 Ne. 31:21 (Mosiah 3:17; Alma 38:9; Hel. 5:9). In the gift of his Son hath God prepared a more excellent way, Ether 12:11 (1 Cor. 12:31).
