Mei he Mo’ui ‘a Siosefa F. Sāmitá

ʻI Nōvema ʻo e 1909, naʻe ʻoatu ai ʻe Palesiteni Siosefa F. Sāmita mo hono Ongo Tokoni ʻi he Kau Palesitenisī ʻUluakí, ko Sione R.Uinita pea mo ʻAnitoni H. Lani, ha fakamatala naʻe ʻuluʻi-tohi ko e “The Origin of Man” ke tali ki he ngaahi fehuʻi ko ia naʻe fai “mei he taimi ki he taimi ʻo kau ki he fakakaukau ʻa e Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi ʻo e Kau Māʻoniʻoni ʻi he Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní….fekauʻaki mo e tupuʻanga ʻo e tangatá. ʻOku ʻi ai ʻa e tui ko ha fakamatala ʻe fai ʻe he Siasi kau ki he tefito mahuʻinga ko ʻeni ʻe matuʻaki taimi totonu ia pea ʻe tupu mei ai ha lelei.” ʻOku kau ʻa e ngaahi leá ni ʻi he fakamatala naʻe faí:

Naʻe fakahā ʻe he tokotaha ne ueʻi ʻe he laumālié ke ne hiki e tohi ʻa Sēnesí ʻi ha ngaahi lea faingofua mo mahinongofua ko ʻení ke ʻiloʻi ʻe māmani ʻa e moʻoni ki he tupuʻanga ʻo e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá.” 1 ʻOku ʻi he vahé ni ha ngaahi fakamatala naʻe toʻo mei he “KO e Tupuʻanga ʻo e Tangatá” [“The Origin of Man.”]

Ne faʻa toutou fakapapauʻi ʻe Palesiteni Sāmita ʻa hono moʻoni ʻo e tuʻunga fakatamai ʻo e ʻOtuá ne pehē: “Hangē ko ʻeku ʻiló, pea ʻoku ʻi ai foki mo hono ʻuhinga ke u ʻilo ai, ʻoku ou ʻi heni pea ʻoku ou moʻui, ko ia ʻoku ou tui ai pea ʻoku ʻuhinga mo ʻeku ʻilo ko ia ʻoku moʻui ʻa e ʻOtua ko ʻeku Tamaí.” 2

Ngaahi Akonaki ‘a Siosefa F. Sāmitá

Ko e fānau fakalaumālie kitautolu ʻa ʻetau Tamai Hēvaní.

ʻOku tau loto ke ʻiloʻi ʻa e feituʻu ne tau omi mei aí, pea mo e feituʻu ʻoku tau ʻalu ki aí. Ko ʻetau haʻú mei fē? Mei he ʻOtuá. Naʻe tomuʻa ʻi ai pē hatau laumālie pea tau toki omi ki māmani. Naʻa nau kau ʻi he ngaahi fakataha alēlea naʻe fai ʻi he langí, ki muʻa pea toki fakatoka ʻa e tuʻunga ʻo e māmaní. Naʻa tau ʻi ai. Naʻa tau hiva fakataha mo kinautolu ʻi he langí ʻi he fiefia, he taimi naʻe fakatoka ai ʻa e tuʻunga ʻo e māmaní, pea mo e taimi naʻe fakalau fakaikiiki mai ai ʻa e palani ki heʻetau moʻui ʻi māmaní pea mo hotau huhuʻí.

ʻOku ʻikai ha veiveiua naʻa tau ʻi ai, pea naʻa tau kau ʻi he ngaahi meʻa kotoa ko ia naʻe hokó, naʻa tau tokanga lahi ke fakahoko kotoa e ngaahi palani mo e ngaahi taumuʻa mahuʻinga ko ʻení, pea ne mahino kotoa ia kia kitautolu, pea naʻe tuʻutuʻuni mo fakahoko ia koeʻuhí pē ko kitautolu.

ʻOku fakahā mai ʻe he ngaahi folofola kuo tohí, ko e kakai kotoa pē ʻoku haʻu ki māmani, ʻoku fanauʻi fakamatelie kinautolu, pea naʻa nau ʻuluaki moʻui ʻi he maama fakalaumālié, ki muʻa pea nau toki omi ki māmani; ʻoku nau natula fakalaumālie, he ko e ngaahi foha mo e ngaahi ʻofefine ʻo e Tamai Taʻengatáu…. pea ko Sīsū Kalaisi ʻa e ʻuluaki fānaú. Ko e laumālie kuo fanauʻi ʻi he ʻOtuá, ko ha tokotaha taʻe faʻa mate ia. Pea ʻi he mate ʻa e sinó, ʻoku ʻikai mate ai ʻa e laumālié ia. ʻI he tuʻunga toetuʻú, ʻe taʻe faʻa mate ʻa e sinó pea pehē foki mo e laumālié.5

ʻOku fakatupu kitautolu ʻi he tatau ʻo e ʻOtuá.

Naʻe fōtunga fēfē ʻa e tangatá, ʻa hono laumālié mo hono sinó, ʻi he taimi naʻe fuofua fakatupu ai iá? ʻOku ʻomai ha tali fakalūkufua ki he fehuʻí ni ʻi he ngaahi lea [ko ʻení]….. “Naʻe ngaohi ʻa e tangatá ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻi hono tatau.” ʻOku toe mahino ange hono fakamatalaʻi mai ʻi he Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻo peheni: “Naʻe ngaohi ʻa e tangata kotoa pē, ʻi he kamataʻangá, ʻi hoku tatau ʻoʻoku” (ʻEta 3:15). Ko e Tamaí ʻeni ʻoku folofolá. Ko ia, kapau te tau lava ke fakapapauʻi ʻa e fōtunga ʻo e “Tamai ʻa e ngaahi laumālié. ʻA e ʻOtua ʻo e laumālie ʻo e kakai kotoa peé,” te tau lava leva ke ʻiloʻi ʻa e fōtunga ʻo e tangatá ʻi hono fuofua fakatupú.

Ko Sīsū Kalaisí ko ʻAlo ia ʻo e ʻOtuá, pea ko e “tatau moʻoni” ia ʻo ʻEne Tamaí (Hepelū 1:3). Naʻe ʻi he māmaní ko ha tangata, ko ha tangata haohaoa, pea ne tali ai ki ha fehuʻi naʻe fai ange ʻo pehē: “Ko ia kuo ne mamata kiate aú, kuo mamata ia ki he Tamaí” (Sione 14:9). ʻE lava ʻataʻatā pē ʻe he foʻi talí ni ʻo veteki ʻa e palōpalema ʻa ha ʻatamai ʻoku fifili mo fakamātoato. Ko hono aofangatukú, ʻoku faingataʻa ke taʻe tali ʻeni, he kapau ko e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtuá ko e tatau moʻoni ia (ʻo fāitatau moʻoni) ʻo ʻEne Tamaí, ta ʻoku maʻu ʻe Heʻene Tamaí ha fōtunga ʻo e tangata; he ko e fōtunga pē ia ʻo e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtuá, ʻo ʻikai ke ngata pē ʻi Heʻene ʻi he moʻui fakamatelié, ka ki muʻa foki ʻi he teʻeki ʻaloʻi mai ki māmaní, pea ʻi he hili foki ʻo ʻene toetuʻú. Ko e fōtunga ʻeni naʻe maʻu ʻe he Tamaí mo e ʻAló, ko ha ongo tangata, ʻi heʻena hā ki he talavou taʻu hongofulu mā fā ko Siosefa Sāmitá, ʻi heʻene ʻuluaki mata meʻa hā maí.

Pea kapau leva naʻe ngaohi ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻa e tangatá–ʻa e ʻuluaki tangatá–ʻi Hono tataú mo Hono ʻīmisí, ta kuo pau naʻá ne ngaohi ia ʻo tatau mo Kalaisi, pea hokohoko mai ai pē ʻo tatau mo e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá ʻi he kuonga ʻo Kalaisí pea ʻi he ʻahó ni foki. ʻOku fakamatalaʻi fakapatonu mai ʻe he tohi ʻa Mōsesé naʻe ngaohi ʻa e tangatá ʻi he tatau ʻo Kalaisí: “Pea ko aú ko e ʻOtua, ne u pehē ange ki hoku ʻAlo pē Taha naʻe fakatupú, ʻa ia naʻe ʻiate au talu mei he kamataʻangá, Ke ta ngaohi ʻa e tangatá ʻi hota tatau; pea naʻe hoko ia …. Pea ko aú ko e ʻOtua, ne u ngaohi ʻa e tangatá ʻi hoku tatau pē ʻoʻokú, ne u ngaohi ia ʻi he tatau ʻo hoku ʻAlo pē Taha naʻe fakatupú, naʻá ku ngaohi ʻa kinaua ko e tangata mo e fefine” [Mōsese 2:26–27].

Ko e Tamai ʻa Sīsuú ko ʻetau Tamaí pē foki mo Ia. Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Sīsū ʻa e foʻi moʻoni ko ʻení ʻi he taimi naʻá ne akoʻi ai ʻa ʻEne kau ākongá ki he founga ʻo ʻenau lotú. “Ko ʻemau Tamai ʻoku ʻi hēvani,” pea hokohoko atu ai. Ka neongo ia, ko Sīsū pē ʻa e ʻuluaki fānau ʻi hono kotoa ʻo e ngaahi foha ʻo e ʻOtuá–ko e ʻuluaki ke fakatupu ʻi he laumālié, pea ko e tokotaha pē ke fakatupu ʻi he kakanó. Ko hotau taʻokete lahí ia, pea ʻoku tau ʻi he tatau ʻo e ʻOtuá, ʻo hangē pē ko Iáu….

“Naʻe fakatupu ʻa e tangatá ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻi Hono tatau.” ʻOku moʻoni ʻeni, ʻo tatau pē ʻi he laumālié pea mo e sinó, ʻa ia ko hono fakakofuʻi pē ia ʻo e laumālié, ko hono fakakakato; ʻoku fakatahaʻi ʻa e ongo meʻá ni ʻe ua ʻo maʻu ai ʻa e moʻoniʻi laumālié [vakai, T&F 88:15]. Ko e laumālie ʻo e tangatá ʻoku ʻi he fōtunga pē ia ʻo ha tangata, pea ko e laumālie ʻo e ngaahi meʻa moʻui kotoa pē, ʻoku ʻi he tatau pē ia ʻo honau ngaahi sinó. Naʻe mahino ʻaupito hono akoʻi ʻo e meʻá ni ʻe he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá (Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava, 77:2)

Ko e taimi ko ē naʻe maʻu ai ʻe he Tokotaha ʻOtua ko ia ne mamata e tokoua ʻo Sēletí ki hono sino fakalaumālié [vakai, ʻEta 3:6–16], ʻo ne hoko ʻo kakano mo totó, ne ne fotu mai ʻo hangē ha tangatá, ʻo ʻi ai hono “sino, ngaahi kupu pea mo e ongo ʻo e lotó,” ʻo tatau mo ha toe tangata pē, neongo naʻe mahulu hake ia ʻi ha toe kakai, koeʻuhí he ko e ʻOtua Ia, ʻa ia ko e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtuá, ko e Folofolá ʻi heʻene hoko ʻo kakanó: pea naʻe “nofo fakamoʻomoʻoni kiate Ia hono mātuʻaki fonu ʻo e ʻOtuá.” [Kolose 2:9.] He ko e hā ka ʻikai fotu mai ai ko ha tangata? Ko e fōtunga ia ʻo hono laumālié, pea kuo pau ke fakakofuʻi lelei ia, ha sino ko ē ʻoku feʻungá. Ka neongo ia, hangē ko ia kuo ʻosi fakamahinoʻí, ko Sīsū ʻa e ʻAlo tofu pē ʻe Taha ʻo e ʻOtuá kuo fakatupu ʻi he kakanó.

ʻOku hanga ʻe he tokāteline ʻo e moʻui ki muʻa ʻi he maama fakalaumālié, ʻa ē kuo ʻosi fakahā mahino maí ʻo fakatautautefito ki he ngaahi ʻaho fakaʻosí ni, ʻo ʻomai ha maama pe mahino lahi ange fekauʻaki mo e tupuʻanga fakamisiteli ʻo e tangatá. ʻOku ne fakahā mai, ʻi he tuʻunga fakalaumālie ʻo e tangatá ne fanauʻi ai ia ʻi ha mātuʻa fakalangi, pea oki hake ai ʻo matuʻotuʻa ʻi he ʻafioʻanga ʻo e Tamaí, ki muʻa pea toki haʻu ki māmani ʻi he sino fakamatelié ke ne aʻusia ha ngaahi taukei ʻi he moʻui fakamatelié. ʻOku ne akoʻi heni ʻoku tomuʻa moʻui ʻa e tangata kotoa pē ko e laumālie, ki muʻa pea toki moʻui ʻi he kakanó, pea ko kinautolu kotoa pē kuo nau nofo ʻi māmani talu meia ʻĀtama, ne nau maʻu ha sino pea hoko ko ha laumālie moʻui ʻi he founga tatau.

ʻOku tui ha niʻihi ia naʻe ʻikai ko ʻĀtama ʻa e ʻuluaki tangata ʻi māmaní, pea ko e ʻuluaki tangatá naʻe haʻu ia mei he faʻahinga ʻo e fanga manú. Ka neongo ʻeni, ko e ngaahi fakafuofua pē ia ʻa e tangatá. ʻOku fakahā mai ʻi he folofola ʻa e ʻEikí ko ʻĀtama ʻa e “ ʻuluaki tangata ʻo e kakai kotoa pē”: (Mōsese 1:34), pea ko ia ai, ko hotau fatongia ke lau ia ko e ʻuluaki mātuʻa ʻo hotau faʻahingá. Naʻe fakahā ki he tokoua ʻo Sēletí, naʻe fakatupu ʻa e tangata kotoa pē he kamataʻangá, ʻi he tatau ʻo e ʻOtuá; pea tatau ai pē pe te tau fakaʻuhingaʻi ʻeni ki he laumālié pe ko e sinó, pe fakatouʻosi, ka ʻoku tau kei tui pē ki he meʻa tatau. Naʻe kamata e moʻui ʻa e tangatá ko ha tangata pē, ʻi he tatau ʻo ʻetau Tamai Hēvaní.

Ko e moʻoni pē ia ʻoku kamata e sino ʻo e tangatá mei ha meʻa moʻui siʻisiʻi (germ) pea toki hoko ai ko ha kiʻi valevale, mo fakaakeʻi ʻi ha tuʻunga pau ʻe he laumālié he kuo hoko e sinó ko hono tāpanekale, pea toki hoko ai ko ha kiʻi tamasiʻi pe taʻahine, ʻi he hili hono fanauʻí, pea tupu ai ʻo fatutangata.
