Twelve stand with feet firm

and beautiful

upon the mountains

where an eagle’s view

of timeless truths

makes heaven-sentinels

of earthly men.

Twelve walk with feet eager

and willing

upon the shore

where nets once dropped

no longer beckon and

make heaven-fishers

of earthly men.

Twelve follow with feet humble

and submissive

upon the path

where the Prince of Peace

urgently bids them

make heaven dwellers

of all earthly men.
