Spoken of as a tree of fine growth (2 Kgs. 19:23; Isa. 37:24); as supplying timber for building purposes (1 Kgs. 6:15, 34; 2 Chr. 3:5); and as wood from which musical instruments were made (2 Sam. 6:5).
