Thou wilt shew me the path of life, Ps. 16:11. He that followeth after righteousness findeth life, Prov. 21:21. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it, Matt. 10:39 (Matt. 16:25; Mark 8:35; Luke 9:24; 17:33). The Son of Man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them, Luke 9:56. In him was life, and the life was the light of men, John 1:4. He that believeth on him that sent me is passed from death unto life, John 5:24. I am the way, the truth, and the life, John 14:6. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are most miserable, 1 Cor. 15:19–22. Godliness has promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come, 1 Tim. 4:8. Our children may look forward to that life which is in Christ, 2 Ne. 25:23–27. This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God, Alma 34:32 (Alma 12:24).
