Virgin See also Mary, Mother of Jesus A man or woman of marriageable age who has never had sexual intercourse. In the scriptures, a virgin may represent someone who is morally clean (Rev. 14:4). A virgin shall conceive and bear a son, Isa. 7:14 (Matt. 1:23; 2 Ne. 17:14). The kingdom of heaven is likened unto ten virgins, Matt. 25:1–13. In the city of Nazareth I beheld a virgin, who was the mother of the Son of God, 1 Ne. 11:13–18. Mary was a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, Alma 7:10.
