How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God, Gen. 39:7–9. The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous, Prov. 15:29. When the wicked rule, the people mourn, Prov. 29:2 (D&C 98:9). Put away from among yourselves that wicked person, 1 Cor. 5:13. We wrestle against spiritual wickedness in high places, Eph. 6:12. Come ye out from the wicked, and touch not their unclean things, Alma 5:56–57 (D&C 38:42). This is the final state of the wicked, Alma 34:35 (Alma 40:13–14). Wickedness never was happiness, Alma 41:10. It is by the wicked that the wicked are punished, Morm. 4:5 (D&C 63:33).
