What is it like inside the temple?
The temple is the house of the Lord. It is clean and beautiful inside. Everyone wears white and tries to be reverent. It’s a peaceful place to worship God, learn, and feel the Savior’s love through the Holy Ghost.
What do people do inside the temple?
In the temple, we learn about God’s plan and make covenants with Him. We do this by taking part in ordinances like baptisms, confirmations, and being sealed to our families.
How will I dress when I go to the temple?
You should wear your best clothes to the temple. Once you are inside, you will change into special clothes to do ordinances. For baptisms, temple workers will give you a white jumpsuit to wear.
What’s a temple recommend?
A temple recommend is a small piece of paper that allows you to enter the temple. You can get one from a member of your bishopric or branch presidency. He will ask you if you keep the commandments and if you have a testimony. If you are worthy and ready to enter the temple, he will give you a temple recommend.
What does it mean to do baptisms for the dead?
In the temple, you can be baptized for people who died without being baptized. You will wear white and be immersed in (dipped all the way under) the water.
