Ko ʻetau pōpoakí ʻeni, ʻa e maka ʻoku tau langa aí, ʻa ia ko e fakavaʻe ʻo e meʻa kotoa pē ʻi he Siasí. ʻOku tau fakaafeʻi loto fiefia e taha kotoa ke ne tali ia.

ʻOku tau tui ʻi he Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi ʻo e Kau Māʻoniʻoni ʻi he Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní, “ki he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē kuo fakahā mai ʻe he ʻOtuá, mo e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻokú Ne fakahā mai ʻi he taimi ní, pea ʻoku mau tui te Ne kei fakahā mai ʻamui ha ngaahi meʻa lalahi mo mahuʻinga ʻo kau ki he Puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá” (Ngaahi Tefito ʻo e Tui 1:9). ʻOku ʻuhinga ʻeni neongo ʻoku lahi ha ngaahi meʻa ʻoku teʻeki ai ke tau ʻilo, ka ko e ngaahi moʻoni mo e tokāteline ko ia kuo tau ʻosi maʻú, ʻe kei hokohoko atu pē ʻetau maʻu iá ʻo fakafou ʻi he fakahā fakalangi. ʻI he ngaahi tui fakalotu ʻe niʻihi, ʻoku talaki ai ʻe he kau poto fakalotú ʻa e tuʻunga mafai fakafaiako tatau mo e kau taki fakalotú, pea hoko leva e ngaahi meʻa fakatokāteliné ko ha feʻauʻauhi ʻo e fakakaukaú ʻi he ongo kulupú ni. ʻOku falala ʻa e niʻihi ki he ngaahi fakataha alēlea fakaʻekumenikale (ecumenical coucils) ʻo e Kuonga Lotolotó mo ʻenau ngaahi akonakí. Ko e toengá ʻoku tō ʻenau fakamamafá ki he ngaahi fakaʻuhinga ʻa e kau ako fakalotu hili e pekia ʻa e kau ʻAposetoló pe ʻi he founga fakaʻuhingaʻi mo fakamatalaʻi ʻo e Tohi Tapú. ʻOku tau fakamahuʻingaʻi ʻa e poto ʻokú ne tokoniʻi ʻa e mahinó, ka ʻi he Siasí he ʻahó ni, ʻo tatau pē mo e kuonga muʻá, ko hono fokotuʻu ko ia e tokāteline ʻo Kalaisí pe fakatonutonu ha ngaahi hehema fakatokāteline, ko ha meʻa ia ʻoku fai mai ʻe he ʻEikí ʻi he fakahā fakalangi kiate kinautolu ʻokú Ne fakakoloaʻi ʻaki ʻa e mafai fakaeʻaposetoló.2

ʻI he 1954, naʻe fakamatalaʻi ʻe Palesiteni J. Lūpeni Kalake ko e Siʻí, ne hoko he taimi ko iá ko e tokoni ʻi he Kau Palesitenisī ʻUluakí, ʻa e founga ʻoku fakamafola ai ʻa e tokāteliné he Siasí pea mo e fatongia mātuʻaki mahuʻinga ʻo e Palesiteni ʻo e Siasí. ʻOku nau maʻu ʻa e totonu, mālohi, pea mo e mafai ke fakahā ʻa e fakakaukau mo e finangalo ʻo e ʻOtuá ki Hono kakaí, ʻi he malumalu ʻo e mālohi mo e mafai fakalūkufua ʻo e Palesiteni ʻo e Siasí. ʻIkai ngata aí, ʻoku maʻu ʻe he Palesiteni ʻo e Siasí ha fakakoloa mahulu mo makehe ange ʻi he tafaʻaki ko ʻení, ʻo hangē ko ia ne fakamahino atú, he ko ia ʻa e Palōfitá, Tangata Kikite, mo e Tangata Maʻu Fakahā ki he Siasí fakakātoa.”3

ʻOku fakahaaʻi fēfē ʻe he Fakamoʻuí Hono finangaló mo e tokāteliné ki he kau palōfitá, kau tangata kikité, mo e kau tangata maʻu fakahaá? Te Ne lava ke fakahoko ia ʻi ha talafekau pe ʻe Ia tonu pē. Te Ne lava ʻo folofola ʻaki Hono leʻo pē ʻOʻoná pe ʻi he leʻo ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní—ko ha fetuʻutaki ʻa e Laumālié ki he laumālié ʻa ia ʻe lava ke fakahoko ʻi he ngaahi lea pe ʻi he ngaahi ongo ʻokú ne ʻomi ha mahino ʻoku mahulu atu ʻi he leá pē (vakai, 1 Nīfai 17:45; T&F 9:8). ʻE lava ke Ne fetuʻutaki fakatāutaha ki Heʻene kau tamaioʻeikí pe ʻi ha fakataha alēlea (vakai, 3 Nīfai 27:1–8).

Te u ʻoatu ha fakatātā ʻe ua mei he Fuakava Foʻoú. Ko e ʻuluakí ko ha fakahā naʻe fai ki he ʻulu ʻo e Siasí. ʻI he kamataʻanga ʻo e tohi Ngāué, ʻoku tau ʻilo ai naʻe fakahoko ʻe he kau ʻAposetolo ʻa Kalaisí ʻa e pōpoaki ʻo e ongoongoleleí ki he kakai Siú ʻataʻatā pē, ʻo muimui pē ki he sīpinga ngāue ʻa Sīsuú (vakai, Mātiu 15:24), ka ʻi he taimi ní, ʻo fakatatau mo e taimi-tēpile ʻa e ʻEikí, kuo hokosia ha liliu. Neongo ia, naʻe toe ongo mai ʻa e leʻó kia Pita ʻi heʻene misí, “Ko ia kuo fakamaʻa ʻe he ʻOtuá, ʻoua naʻá ke pehē ʻoku ʻikai ngofua” (Ngāue 10:15).

Naʻe toki mahino e ʻuhinga ʻo e misí ni he naʻe hili pē iá, kuo aʻu mai ha kau tangata ko e fekau mei he ʻeikitau Loma ko Koniliusí, ki he fale ʻo Pitá mo ha kole ke ʻalu ange ʻo akoʻi honau ʻeikí. Ne ʻosi tānaki ʻe Koniliusi hano kāinga mo hano ngaahi kaungāmeʻa tokolahi, pea ʻi he ʻilo ʻe Pita ʻoku nau tatali fiefia ke tali ʻene pōpoakí, naʻá ne pehē:

“Kuo fakahā ʻe he ʻOtuá kiate au, ke ʻoua naʻá ku ui ko e taʻe-tapu pe taʻe-maʻa ha tangata ʻe tokotaha. …

“… Ko e moʻoni ʻoku ou ʻiló ni ʻoku ʻikai filifilimānako ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he kakaí:

“Ka ʻokú ne maʻu maʻana ʻa ia ʻoku manavahē kiate ia mo faitotonu ʻi he puleʻanga kotoa pē” (Ngāue 10:28, 34–35; vakai foki, veesi 17–24).

“Pea ʻi he kei lea ʻaki ʻe Pita ʻa e ngaahi leá ni, ne tō hifo ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní kiate kinautolu kotoa pē naʻe fanongo ki he leá.

“Pea naʻe ofo ʻa kinautolu [ne ʻi ai mo Pitá] … koeʻuhí kuo huaʻi hifo ki he Senitailé foki ʻa e [meʻafoaki] ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní.

“… Pea toki pehē ʻe Pita,

“ʻE faʻa taʻofi ʻe ha taha ʻa e vaí ke ʻoua naʻa papitaiso ʻa kinautolú ni, ka kuo nau maʻu ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ʻo hangē ko kitautolú?” (Ngāue 10:44–47).

ʻI he meʻá ni pea mo e fakahā kia Pitá, naʻe liliu ai ʻe he ʻEikí ʻa e founga angamaheni ʻo e Siasí ʻo ne ʻomi ha mahino fakatokāteline kakato ange ki Heʻene kau ākongá.

“Pea naʻe fakataha ʻa e kau ʻaposetoló mo e mātuʻá ke nau fakakaukau ki he meʻá ni” (Ngāue 15:6). ʻOku ʻikai kakato ʻetau lekooti ki he fakataha alēlea ko ʻení, ka ʻoku talamai naʻe hili ha “lahi ʻenau aleá” (Ngāue 15:7), naʻe tuʻu ʻa Pita, ko e ʻAposetolo pulé, ʻo ne fakahā e meʻa naʻe fakamahino ki ai ʻe he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní. Naʻá ne fakamanatu ki he fakataha alēleá ni ko e taimi naʻe kamata ai ke malangaʻi ʻa e ongoongoleleí ki he kakai Senitaile taʻe-kamu ʻi he fale ʻo Koniliusí, naʻa nau maʻu ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ʻo tatau tofu pē mo e kakai Siu ului kuo kamú. Naʻá ne pehē naʻe ʻikai hanga ʻe he ʻOtuá, “ʻo [fakafaikehekeheʻi] … kitautolu mo kinautolu, ʻo ne fakamaʻa honau lotó ʻi he tui.

“Pea ko ʻeni, ko e hā ʻoku mou ʻahiʻahi ai ki he ʻOtuá, ke ʻai ki he kia ʻo e kau ākongá ʻa e haʻamo, ʻa ia naʻe ʻikai ke faʻa kātakiʻi ʻe heʻetau mātuʻá pe ko kitautolu?

“Ka ʻoku tau pehē ko e meʻa ʻi he ʻaloʻofa pē ʻa e ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻe [fakamoʻui ai] ʻa kitautolu, ʻo hangē ko kinautolú” (Ngāue 15:9–11;vakai foki, veesi 8.

Hili iá pea lea ʻa Paula, Paanepasa, pea mahalo mo ha niʻihi kehe ʻo poupouʻi e lea ʻa Pitá, pea fokotuʻu ʻe Sēmisi ke fakahoko ʻa e tuʻutuʻuní ni ʻi ha tohi ki he Siasí, pea naʻe kau fakataha ʻa e fakatahá “ʻo loto taha” (Ngāue 15:25; vakai foki, veesi 12–23). ʻI he tohi naʻe fakahā ai ʻe he kau ʻAposetoló ʻenau tuʻutuʻuní, naʻa nau pehē ai, “Naʻe lelei ki he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, pea mo kimautolu” (Ngāue 15:28), pe ko hono ʻai ʻe tahá, naʻe hoko mai e tuʻutuʻuni ko ʻení ʻi ha fakahā fakalangi he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní.

ʻOku fakahoko he ʻahó ni ʻa e ongo founga tatau ko ʻení ʻi he Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi kuo fakafoki maí. ʻE lava ke lea ʻaki pe fakaʻuhingaʻi ʻe he Palesiteni ʻo e Siasí ha tokāteline ʻo makatuʻunga ʻi ha fakahā kiate ia (vakai, sīpingá,T&F 138). ʻE lava foki ke fakahaaʻi mai e ngaahi fakamatala fakatokāteliné ʻi ha fakataha alēlea ʻo e Kau Palesitenisī ʻUluakí mo e Kōlomu ʻo e Kau ʻAposetolo ʻe Toko Hongofulu Mā Uá (vakai, sīpingá, Fanongonongo Fakamafaiʻi Fika 2). ʻE faʻa kau he tālanga ʻa e fakataha alēleá hano fakakaukauʻi ha ngaahi potu folofola toputapu, ngaahi akonaki ʻa e kau taki ʻo e Siasí pea mo e founga ngāue he kuohilí. Ko hono aofangatukú, hangē pē ko e Siasi ʻi he Fuakava Foʻoú, ʻoku ʻikai ko e kaveingá pē ke lototaha ʻa e kau mēmipa ʻo e fakataha alēleá ka ko ha fakahā mei he ʻOtuá.
