Xeshikweni iNauvoo yaye yaba sisixeko esihle esinetempile entle, zombini ekugqibeleni zaye zashiywa. Kodwa umsebenzi weNkosi omhle nokwenene, lonke elo xesha, yayiku “kuthwesa ngembeko, ukungafi, nobomi obungunaphakade” (IMfundiso neMinqophiso 124:55), kwaye loo msebenzi awusoze uphele.

Ndingaba ngumfundi othenjwa yiNkosi.

Nangona iinkokheli ezibekikeleyo eziliqela zaye zalishiya iBandla ngoo-1830, uninzi lwamalungu lwaye lwasala lunyanisekile. Aba baNgcwele banyanisekileyo babequka abo babenyamezele iimvavanyo eMissouri kwakunye nabo babesandulʼ ukuzibandakanya neBandla. KwiMfundiso neMinqophiso 124:12–21, iNkosi yayithetha kakuhle kakhulu ngabambalwa babo. Zeziphi iingqiqo ngobufundi ozifumanayo emazwini waYo? Ingaba ikhona into ethile ngaba baNgcwele abanyanisekileyo ekuphembelela ukuba ufane nabo? Usenokucinga ngokunzulu ngendlela iNkosi evakalisa ngayo uthando lwaYo kuwe.

INkosi ifuna ndamkele abanye.

Xa ucingisisa ngoko abaNgcwele babehlutshwa kuko eMissouri, babenokuhendeka ukuba baziqelelanise kwaye batyhafise iindwendwe eNauvoo. Gcina oko engqondweni yakho njengoko ufunda IMfundiso neMinqophiso 124:22–24, 60–61. Yintoni ekonwabisayo ngemiyalelo yeNkosi yokwakha “indlu yokuhlalisa”? (umqolo 23). Yintoni amazwi waYo akufundisa yona malunga nomsebenzi weBandla laYo? Cinga ngokunzulu ngendlela le miyalelo ibinokusebenza kuwe nasekhayeni lakho.

INkosi isiyalela ukuba sokhe iitempile ukuze sifumane imimiselo engcwele.

Ngokuqinisekileyo oko akuzange kufike njengesimangaliso kwabaNgcwele beMihla yokuGqibela emveni kokuba bezinzile eNauvoo, iNkosi yaye yabanika imiyalelo malunga nokwakhiwa kwetempile—ngokufanayo nje noko Yona yayikwenze e-Ohio naseMissouri. Yintoni oyifumana kwiMfundiso neMinqophiso 124:25–45, 55 ekunceda uqonde ukuba kutheni iNkosi yathi, “Abantu bam abasoloko beyalelwa ekuyakheleni [iitempile] egameni lam elingcwele”? (umqolo 39).

Kusukela oko kwakhiwa iTempile yaseNauvoo, ngaphezu kweetempile ezi-200 zaye zokhiwa okanye zaye zabhengezwa. UMongameli u-Russell M. Nelson wafundisa oku: “Siyazi ukuba ixesha lethu etempileni libalulekile kusindiso lwethu nokuphakanyiswa kwethu nakoko kweentsapho zethu. Uhlaselo lotshaba luyakhula kakhulu ngokucacileyo, ngobunzulu kunye nangeentlobo ngeentlobo ezahlukeneyo. Imfuno yethu yokuba sibe setempileni rhoqo ayizange ibenkulu ngakumbi” (“Becoming Exemplary Latter-day Saints,” Ensign okanye Liahona, EyeNkanga 2018, 114). Ingaba itempile ikuncede kanjani ukuba umelane “nohlaselo lotshaba”? Yintoni oyiva ikuchukumisa ukuba uyenze ukulandela ingcebiso kaMongameli Nelson?

“Oko kuya kufuna imiqulu eya kuthi ibalule imisebenzi, amalungelo awawodwa kunye noxanduva eziza kunye nefuthe loLuntu. … Yiya kuyo (phantsi kwesikhokelo sikabhishophu wakho) ngokupholileyo, ngabom, ngamandla, ngomanyano, nangomthandazo, kwaye uThixo uya kuthwesa iinzame zakho ngempumelelo.”4
