Vahe 42

Ko Hono Tānaki Fakataha ʻo e Fale ʻo ʻIsilelí

The Old Testament prophet Israel (Jacob) with his sons gathered around him. One of the sons (Joseph) is kneeling before his father. Israel has his hand on the son's head as he prepares to give him a priesthood blessing.

Ko e Fale ʻo ʻIsilelí Ko e Kakai Fuakava Ia ʻa e ʻOtuá

  • Ko e hā e ngaahi fatongia ʻo e kakai fuakava ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he ngaahi puleʻanga ʻo e māmaní?

Koeʻuhí naʻe tui faivelenga ʻa Sēkope, ko ia naʻe foaki ai ʻe he ʻEikí kiate ia ʻa e hingoa makehe ko e ʻIsilelí, ʻa ia ko hono ʻuhingá ko e “taha kuo ikuna mo e ʻOtuá” pe “tuku ke ikuna ʻa e ʻOtuá” (Bible Dictionary, “Israel,” 708). Naʻe toko hongofulu mā ua e ngaahi foha ʻo Sēkopé. Naʻe ʻiloa e ngaahi foha ko ʻení mo honau ngaahi fāmilí ko e faʻahinga ʻe hongofulu mā ua ʻo ʻIsilelí pe ko e fānau ʻa ʻIsilelí (vakai, Sēnesi 49:28).

Ko Sēkopé ko ha mokopuna ia ʻo ʻĒpalahame. Naʻe fai ʻe he ʻEikí ha fuakava taʻengata mo ʻĒpalahame, ʻa ia naʻe fakafoʻou ia mo ʻAisake pea mo Sēkope mo ʻene fānaú (vakai ki he vahe 15 ʻi he tohí ni; vakai foki ki he fakatātā ʻi he vahé ni, ʻoku hā ai hono tāpuakiʻi ʻe Sēkope ʻa hono ngaahi fohá). Naʻe talaʻofa ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻe hoko ʻa e fānau ʻa ʻIsilelí ko Hono kakai ʻo e fuakavá, ʻi he taimi pē ʻoku nau talangofua ai ki Heʻene ngaahi fekaú (vakai, Teutalōnome 28:9–10). Te nau hoko ko ha tāpuaki ki he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻo e māmaní ʻaki ʻenau ʻoatu ʻa e ongoongoleleí mo e lakanga fakataulaʻeikí kiate kinautolu (vakai, ʻĒpalahame 2:9–11). ʻE lava ai ke nau tauhi ʻenau fuakava mo e ʻEikí pea mo ʻEne fuakava mo kinautolú.

Naʻe Fakamoveteveteʻi ʻa e Fale ʻo ʻIsilelí

Kuo tā tuʻo lahi e fakatokanga mai ʻa e kau palōfita ʻa e ʻEikí ki he fale ʻo ʻIsilelí ʻo fekauʻaki mo e meʻa ʻe hoko ʻo kapau te nau faiangahala. Naʻe kikite ʻe Mōsese ʻo pehē, “Pea ʻe fakaheeʻi koe ʻe [he ʻEikí] ki he kakai kotoa pē, mei he ngataʻanga ʻe taha ʻo māmani ʻo aʻu atu ki hono ngataʻanga ʻe tahá” (Teutalonome 28:64).

Ka neongo e fakatokanga ko ʻení, naʻe toutou maumauʻi pē ʻe he kau ʻIsilelí ia ʻa e ngaahi fekau ʻa e ʻOtuá. Naʻa nau fetauʻaki ʻiate kinautolu pē pea nau mavae ua ki ha puleʻanga ʻe ua: ko e Puleʻanga Fakatokelaú, ʻa ia naʻe ui ko e puleʻanga ʻo ʻIsilelí pea mo e Puleʻanga Fakatongá, ʻa ia naʻe ui ko e puleʻanga ʻo Siutá. Naʻe nofo e faʻahinga ʻe hongofulu mei he faʻahinga ʻe hongofulu mā ua ʻo ʻIsilelí ʻi he Puleʻanga Fakatokelaú. Naʻe toki hola kimui ange ai hanau niʻihi ki he ngaahi fonua ʻi he tokelaú pea iku ʻo nau pulia atu ai pē mei he toenga ʻo e māmaní.

Naʻe kau ʻa Līhai mo hono fāmilí ki he fale ʻo ʻIsilelí, pea kimuʻa pea fakaʻauha ʻa Selusalemá, ne nau mavahe atu mei he koló ʻo nofoʻi ʻa e ongo ʻAmeliká.

Hili e kuonga ʻo Kalaisí, naʻe toe fakaʻauha ʻa Selusalema ʻe he kau sōtia Lomá. ʻOku maʻu ʻa e kau ʻIsilelí he ʻahó ni ʻi he fonua kotoa pē ʻo e māmaní. ʻOku ʻikai ʻiloʻi ʻe ha konga lahi ʻo e kakai ko ʻení, ko ʻenau tukuʻau mai mei he fale ʻo ʻIsileli ʻo e kuonga muʻá.

  • Ko e hā ha ngaahi lelei kuo maʻu ʻe he fānau ʻa e ʻOtuá koeʻuhí ko hono fakamoveteveteʻi ʻo ʻEne kakai fuakavá ki he funga ʻo e māmaní?

Kuo Pau ke Tānaki Fakataha ʻa e Fale ʻo ʻIsileli

  • Ko e hā ʻoku finangalo ai ʻa e ʻEikí ke tānaki fakataha ʻa Hono kakaí?

  • ʻE tānaki fēfeeʻi ʻa e fale ʻo ʻIsilelí?

Naʻe talaʻofa mai ʻa e ʻEikí ʻe toe tānaki fakataha ʻa Hono kakai ʻo e fuakavá: “Te u tānaki hono toe ʻo ʻeku fanga sipí, mei he ngaahi potu kotoa pē kuó u kapusi ʻa kinautolu ki aí” (Selemaia 23:3).

ʻOku tānaki ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻa ʻEne fānaú ʻo fakafou ʻi he ngāue fakafaifekaú. ʻOku ʻi ai Haʻane ʻuhinga mahuʻinga ki Heʻene tānaki ʻEne fānaú. ʻOkú Ne tānaki kinautolu ke nau ako ki he ngaahi akonaki ʻo e ongoongoleleí mo teuteuʻi kinautolu ke feʻiloaki mo e Fakamoʻuí ʻi he taimi te Ne toe hāʻele mai aí. ʻOkú Ne tānaki kinautolu ke nau fefakamālohiaʻaki mo fāitaha ʻi he ongoongoleleí, mo malu mei he ngaahi tākiekina taʻe māʻoniʻoni ʻi he māmaní. ʻOkú Ne tānaki kinautolu ke nau teuteuʻi ʻa kinautolu ke nau vahevahe atu ʻa e ongoongoleleí ki he niʻihi kehé.

Ko e mālohi mo e mafai ke tataki e ngāue ko hono tānaki ʻo e fale ʻo ʻIsilelí, naʻe foaki ia kia Siosefa Sāmita ʻe he palōfita ko Mōsesé, ʻa ia naʻe hā mai ʻi he Temipale Ketilaní ʻi he 1836 (vakai, T&F 110:11). ʻOku tānaki he taimí ni ʻa e kakai ʻo e fuakavá, ʻi heʻenau tali ʻa e ongoongolelei kuo toe fakafoki maí mo tauhi ki he ʻOtua ʻo ʻĒpalahame, ʻAisake mo Sēkopé (vakai, Teutalōnome 30:1–5).

ʻOku tomuʻa tānaki fakalaumālie ʻa e kau ʻIsilelí ki muʻa pea toki tānaki fakatuʻasino kinautolú. ʻOku tānaki fakalaumālie kinautolu ʻi heʻenau kau mai ki he Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi ʻo e Kau Māʻoniʻoni ʻi he Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní pea nau fakahoko mo tauhi e ngaahi fuakava toputapú. Naʻe kamata e tānaki fakalaumālie ko ʻení ʻi he taimi ʻo e Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá pea ʻoku kei hokohoko atu ia ʻi he funga ʻo e māmaní he ʻahó ni. Ko e kau papi ului mai ki he Siasí ko ha kau ʻIsileli ʻa kinautolu ʻi he totó pe ohi. ʻOku nau kau ki he fāmili ʻo ʻĒpalahame mo Sēkopé (vakai, ʻĒpalahame 2:9–11; Kalētia 3:26–29).

Naʻe pehē ʻe Palesiteni Siosefa Filitingi Sāmita: “ʻOku lahi ha ngaahi puleʻanga ʻoku fakafofongaʻi ʻi he … Siasí. … Kuo nau omi he naʻe nofoʻia kinautolu ʻe he Laumālie ʻo e ʻEikí; … pea ʻi heʻenau maʻu e laumālie ʻo e tānakí, ne nau tukuange ai ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē koeʻuhí ko e ongoongoleleí” (Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954–56], 3:256; fakamamafaʻi ʻi he tatau totonú)

ʻOku ʻuhinga ʻa hono tānaki fakatuʻasino ʻo ʻIsilelí, ko e kakai fuakavá ʻe tānaki ʻa kinautolu ki ʻapi “ki he ngaahi fonua ʻo honau tofiʻá, pea toe fokotuʻu ʻa kinautolu ʻi honau ngaahi fonua kotoa pē ʻo e talaʻofá” (2 Nīfai 9:2). ʻE tānaki ʻa e ongo faʻahinga ʻo ʻIfalemi mo Manasé ʻi he ongo ʻAmeliká. ʻE toe foki ʻa e faʻahinga ʻo Siutá ki he kolo ko Selusalemá pea mo hono ngaahi ʻēlia takatakaí. ʻE maʻu ʻe he faʻahinga ʻe hongofulu ʻoku molé mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIfalemí, ʻa honau ngaahi tāpuaki naʻe talaʻofa angé (vakai, T&F 133:26–34).

ʻI he taimi naʻe fuofua fokotuʻu ai ʻa e Siasí, naʻe fakahinohinoʻi ʻa e Kāingalotú ke nau fakataha hake ki ʻŌhaiō, pea ki Mīsuli pea ki he Teleʻa Sōlekí. Ka kuo akoʻi mai ʻe he kau palōfita ʻi onopōní ʻoku totonu ke langa hake ʻe he Kāingalotu ʻo e Siasi ʻa e puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻi honau ngaahi fonua pē ʻonautolú. Naʻe pehē ʻe ʻEletā Lāsolo M. Nalesoni: “Ko e fili ko ia ke haʻu kia Kalaisí, ʻoku ʻikai ʻuhinga ia ki he feituʻu ʻokú te ʻi aí; ʻoku fekauʻaki ia mo e tukupā fakafoʻituituí. ʻE lava ke ʻ ʻomi ʻa kinautolu ki he ʻilo ʻo e ʻEikí’ [3 Nīfai 20:13] kae ʻikai ke nau mavahe mei he fonua ʻoku nau nofo aí. Ko e moʻoni ia ʻi he kamakamata mai ʻa e Siasí naʻe faʻa ʻuhinga ʻa ʻete uluí ke te hikifonua ai foki. Ka ʻoku fakahoko e tānakí ia he taimí ni ʻi he puleʻanga takitaha. … Ko e feituʻu ke tānaki ki ai ʻa e Kāingalotu Palāsilá ko Palāsila; ko e feituʻu ke tānaki ki ai e Kāingalotu Naisīliá ko Naisīlia; ko e feituʻu ke tānaki ki ai ʻa e kāingalotu Kōleá ko Kōlea; ʻo fai pehē ai pē. Ko Saione ko e ‘loto-maʻa.’ [T&F 97:21.] Ko Saione ʻa e feituʻu ko ia ʻoku ʻi ai ʻa e Kāingalotu angatonú” (ʻi he Conference Report, Oct. 2006, 85; pe Ensign, Nov. 2006, 81).

He ʻikai kakato ʻa hono tānaki fakatuʻasino ʻo ʻIsilelí kae ʻoua kuo hoko ʻa e Hāʻele ʻAngaua Mai ʻa e Fakamoʻuí pea hoko atu ki he Nofotuʻí (vakai, Siosefa Sāmita—Mātiu 1:37). ʻE fakahoko leva e talaʻofa ʻa e ʻEikí:

“Vakai, ʻoku haʻu ʻa e ngaahi ʻaho, ʻa ia ʻe ʻikai toe pehē ai, ʻOku moʻui ʻa [e ʻEikí], ʻa ia naʻe ʻomi ʻa e fānau ʻa ʻIsilelí mei he fonua ko ʻIsipité;

“Ka, ʻOku moʻui ʻa [e ʻEikí], ʻa ia naʻe ʻomi ʻa e fānau ʻa ʻIsilelí mei he fonua tokelaú, pea mei he ngaahi fonua kotoa pē naʻá ne kapusi ʻa kinautolu ki aí: pea te u toe ʻomi ʻa kinautolu ki honau fonua ʻa ia naʻá ku foaki ki heʻenau ngaahi tamaí” (Selemaia 16:14–15).
