Ko e Uiuiʻi Fakalangi ʻo e Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá

ʻOku ou maʻu ha fakamoʻoni mālohi naʻe hā ʻa e Tamaí mo e ʻAló ki he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá ʻo fakahā mai ʻiate ia ʻa e ongoongolelei ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻa ia, ko e “mālohi [moʻoni] ia ʻo e ʻOtuá ki he fakamoʻuí.” [Loma 1:16.]1

Naʻe pehē ʻe Palesiteni Tēvita O. Naʻe pehē ʻe Palesiteni Makei, “ ʻI heʻeku kei siʻí, naʻá ku tangutu ʻo fanongo ki he fakamoʻoni ko iá mei ha taha naʻá ku mahuʻingaʻia mo fakaʻapaʻapaʻi ʻo hangē ko ia ʻoku mou meaʻí, naʻe ʻikai ke u toe mahuʻingaʻia ʻi ha toe taha pehē he māmaní, pea naʻe tohitongi ʻa e fakamoʻoni ko iá ʻi heʻeku moʻui kei siʻí.”3

Naʻe fakahā ʻe he ʻUluaki Mata-Meʻa-Hā Mai ʻa Siosefa Sāmitá ha ngaahi moʻoni nāunauʻia fekauʻaki mo e ʻOtua ko e Tamaí pea mo Sīsū Kalaisi.

ʻOku ope atu pea mo kāfakafa ʻa e ngaahi ʻilo pea mo e ngaahi meʻa maʻu foʻou fakaʻofoʻofa ʻo e konga ki mui ʻo e senituli [hongofulu mā hivá] pea ʻoku tau fakatumutumu ai. … Ka ʻoku teʻeki ai ha taha ai te ne tali ʻa e fiemaʻu maʻongoʻonga taha ʻa e tangatá pea mo ʻene fakaʻānaua vivili tahá. Kuo teʻeki ai hanau taha te ne fakahā mai ʻa e meʻa kuo laulau-kuonga ʻa e fekumi ki ai ʻa e tangatá. Ko e meʻa ko iá, ko ha hā ʻa ha ongo tangata fakalangi ʻe toko ua ki he Palōfita kei siʻi ko Siosefa Sāmitá, ʻo fakahaaʻi ai ʻa e tuʻunga fakafoʻituitui moʻoni ʻo e ʻOtua ko e Tamai Taʻengatá pea mo hono ʻAlo ko Sīsū Kalaisí.4

Ko e meʻa naʻá ne fakahaá naʻe mahino-ngofua ka naʻe toe lelei; pea naʻe ʻohovale ia ʻi he taʻe tui ʻa e tangatá ki hono moʻoní. Naʻá ne pehē ʻiate ia pē ko ʻene fakamatalá ko ha foʻi moʻoni mahino-ngofua; ka ki he maama faka-Kalisitiané ne hoko ia ko ha ʻuhila, naʻe tapa, ʻo ne fakavaivaiʻi ʻenau faʻunga fakalotú ʻo kamata mei he tumuʻakí ʻo aʻu ki hono fakavaʻé.

Ko e ongo ʻelemēniti mahuʻinga ʻeni ʻi heʻene ʻuluaki pōpoakí: ʻuluakí, ko e ʻOtuá ʻoku Sino (personal Being), ʻokú ne fakahoko mai hono finangaló ki he tangatá; pea ko e uá, ʻoku ʻikai ha faʻunga [siasi] ʻi he ngaahi lotu faka-Kalisitiané ʻokú ne maʻu ʻa e palani moʻoni ʻo e fakamoʻuí.6

Ko e hā ko ia ʻa e Tamaí mo e ʻAló kia Siosefa Sāmitá ko e fakavaʻe ia ʻo e Siasi ko ʻení. ʻOku toka ai ʻa e fakapulipuli ki hono mālohí mo ʻene longomoʻuí. ʻOku moʻoni ʻeni, pea ʻoku ou fakamoʻoni ki ai. ʻOku tali ʻe he foʻi fakahā pē ko iá ʻe taha hono kotoa ʻo e ngaahi tālafili ʻa e saienisí fekauʻaki mo e ʻOtuá pea mo hono anga fakalangí. ʻOku ʻikai ʻapē ke mou fakatokangaʻi hono ʻuhinga ʻo e meʻá ni? ʻOku tali heni pe ko e tangata fēfē ʻa e ʻOtuá. ʻOku mahino heni ʻene fetuʻutaki mo ʻene fānaú. ʻOku mahino heni ʻa ʻene tokanga ki he faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá ʻo foaki mai ai hono mafaí ki he tangatá. Naʻe fakapapauʻi heni ʻa e kahaʻu ʻo e ngāué. Naʻe fakamahinoʻi ʻe he ʻuluaki mata meʻa hā maí ʻa e meʻá ni pea mo ha ngaahi moʻoni nāunauʻia kehe.7

Pea naʻa mo kinautolu ne nau mate teʻeki ke nau maʻu ʻa e fonó ʻe fakamāuʻi taʻe kau ai ʻa e fonó. Kuo fakahā ʻo aʻu mai ki he konga ko ʻení ʻa e ouau ʻo e fakamoʻui ki he kau pekiá.

ʻOku ʻi ai mo ha ngaahi fuakava kehe ʻoku toe hokohoko atu ʻi he fakalakalaka taʻengatá ʻi he ngaahi kuonga kotoa ʻo ʻitānití.

Naʻe ʻikai ke mei malava ʻe Siosefa Sāmita ʻo fakahoko kotoa ʻeni ʻaki ʻene fakakaukau leleí, potó, pea mo hono ivi ʻoʻoná pē. Naʻe ʻikai ke ne mei malava ʻe ia ʻo fakahoko ʻeni.10

Kuo ʻosi fakahā ʻe he ʻEikí ʻi he kuongá ni ʻa e Palani ʻo e Fakamoʻuí, ʻa ia ʻoku ʻikai toe fuʻu kehe fēfē ia mei he hala ki he nofoʻanga fakalaumālié ʻi hono fokotuʻutuʻu ha faʻahinga ʻulungāanga ʻoku taau ke hū ai ki hono puleʻangá. … Naʻe pehē ʻe Siosefa Sāmita, “Naʻe fokotuʻu ʻa e Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí ʻo fakatatau mo e faʻunga ʻo e Siasí ʻo hangē ko ia ʻoku lekooti ʻi he Fuakava Foʻoú” [vakai, History of the Church, 1:79]. ʻOku fakamoʻoniʻi ʻe he ngaahi founga ngāue mahino mo e ʻaonga ʻo e faʻungá ni ʻa hono moʻoni fakalangí.12

ʻI he ngaahi taʻu lahi kuo hilí, ne pehē ai ʻe Siosefa Sāmita, ko ha kiʻi tamasiʻi ʻi he vahaʻa taʻu hongofulu mā faá mo e hongofulu mā nimá, naʻá ne maʻu ha fakahā mei he ʻOtuá, ko ha tali ki heʻene lotú. … Ko e ola ʻo ʻene fakamatala ko ʻení naʻe fakamavaheʻi ai ia he taimi pē ko iá mei he māmani ʻo e tui fakalotú. ʻI ha vahaʻa taimi nounou pē kuó ne fakatokangaʻi kuo tuʻu tokotaha pē.
