Njengoko sifunda iTestamente eNdala, ngamanye amaxesha siye sifumane imihlathi emide emalunga nezinto ezazibalulekile ngokucacileyo eNkosini kodwa sisenokuziva ngokukhawuleza ngathi azisifanelanga thina namhlanje. Eksodus 25–30; 35–40; Levitikus 1–9; 16–17 yimizekelo. Xa uThixo wayeyalela uMoses ukuba okhe umnquba kwinkampu yamaSirayeli, Yena wayichaza injongo yawo: “ndihlale phakathi kwabo” (Eksodus 25:8). Ngaphakathi komnquba, ubukho bukaThixo babumelwe yityeya yomnqophiso—ibhokisi yeenkuni, eyogqunywe ngegolide, iqulethe uxwebhu olubhalwe umnqophiso kaThixo kunye nabantu baKhe (bona Eksodus 25:10–22). Ngaphandle nje kukaMoses, sazi umntu omnye kuphela owayenako ukungena “kwingcwele kangcwele” (Eksodus 26:34)—umbingeleli omkhulu. Ngokufana nabanye ababingeleli, kwakumele ahlanjwe kwaye athanjiswe kuqala (bona Eksodus 40:12–13) kwaye ambathiswe izambatho ezingcwele ezaziphawula i-ofisi yakhe (bona Eksodus 28). Kanye ngonyaka, ngomhla owawubizwa ngokuba nguMhla weNtlawulelo, umbingeleli omkhulu waye anikele amadini wabantu phambili kokungena yedwa emnqubeni. Njengokufana nomnquba, kunye netyeya eyayingaphakathi kwawo, zazimele ubukho bukaThixo phakathi kwabantu baKhe, uYesu Krestu waye bubukho bukaThixo phakathi kwabantu baKhe (bona Yohane 1:14). Njengombingeleli omkhulu, uYesu Krestu nguMlamleli phakathi kwethu noThixo uBawo. Yena waye wagqitha kwisigqubuthelo esenzela intethelelo ngenxa yegazi ledini laKhe (bona AmaHebhere 8–10).

Eminye imiba yomnquba wakwaSirayeli isenokuvakala ngathi iqhelekile kuwe, ngakumbi ukuba wawukhe waya etempileni wayo kufumana imimiselo yakho. Njengengcwele kangcwele yomnquba, igumbi leselestiyali etempileni limele ubukho bukaThixo. Ukuze singene, kufuneka kuqala sihlanjwe kwaye sithanjiswe. Sinxiba izambatho ezingcwele. Siyathandaza esibingelelweni apho imithandazo inyukela khona kuThixo. Kwaye ekugqibeleni sigqitha kwikhuselo ukungena kubukho bukaThixo.

Mhlawumbi eyona nto ebaluleke kakhulu efanayo phakathi kweetempile zanamhlanje kunye nomnquba wamandulo yileyo yokuba zombini, ukuba iqondwa ngokuchanekileyo, yomeleza ukholo lwethu kuYesu Krestu kwaye isigcwalisa ngombulelo wedini leNtlawulelo yaKhe. UThixo ufuna bonke abantwana baKhe ukuba bangene kubukho baKhe; Yena ufuna “ubukumkani bababingeleli” kunye nababingelelikazi (Eksodus 19:6). Kodwa izono zethu ziyasithintela ekubeni sizuze loo ntsikelelo, kuba “ayikho into engacocekanga enokuhlala noThixo” (1 Nifayi 10:21). Namhlanje, injongo yeetempile ingaphezulu kokuzuza ukuphakanyiswa kwethu. Emveni kokuzifumanela imimiselo yethu, singema endaweni yezinyanya zethu, sizifumanele imimiselo yazo. Komnye wale misitho, ibhokhwe yayibulawa njengomnikelo wezono zabantu, kwaye umbingeleli omkhulu wayethatha igazi lebhokhwe alise kwindawo engcwele. Kamva, umbingeleli omkhulu wayebeka izandla zakhe phezu kwebhokhwe ephilayo kwaye axele izono zabantwana bakaSirayeli—ngophawulo agqithisele ezo zono ebhokhweni. . Ibhokhwe yayiqhutyelwa ngaphandle kwenkampu yakwaSirayeli.

Kweli siko, iibhokhwe zazimele uYesu Krestu, ethatha indawo yabantu abanezono. Isono kufuneka singavunyelwa kubukho bukaThixo. Kodwa kunokuba kutshatyalaliswe okanye kuqhutyelwe aboni ngaphandle, uThixo waye wabonelela ngenye indlela—endaweni yoko ibhokhwe yayibulawa okanye iqhutyelwe ngaphandle. “Inkunzi leyo yebhokhwe yobuthwala ke phezu kwayo ubugwenxa babo” (Levitikus 16:22).

Indlela yophawulo lwala masiko yayikhomba kwindlela uThixo awayebonelele ukusibuyisa ngayo kubukho baKhe—uYesu Krestu kunye neNtlawulelo yaKhe. UMsindisi “uzithabathele phezu kwakhe izifo zethu, wathwala umvandedwa wethu,” nkqu “nobugwenxa bethu sonke” (Isaya 53:4, 6). Yena wema endaweni yethu, wanikela ngobomi baKhe ukuhlawula isohlwayo sesono sethu, kwaye ngoko ke waze woyisa ukufa ngoVuko lwaKhe (bona Mozaya 15:8–9). Idini likaYesu Krestu yayilelona “idini elikhulu nelokugqibela; ewe, hayi idini lomntu, nalo elesilo” kodwa ngokungcono kube “lidini elingenasiphelo nelanaphakade” (Alma 34:10). Yena wayeyinzaliseko yento yonke yamadini amandulo awayekhomba kuyo.
