ʻOfa Ki Homou Ngaahi Filí

ʻOku ʻomi ʻe he ʻilo ko ia ko e fānau kotoa kitautolu ʻa e ʻOtuá ha vīsone ki he mahuʻinga ʻo e niʻihi kehé pea mo e malava ke mavahe hake mei he filifilimānakó.

ʻOku tau moʻui ʻi ha kuonga ʻo e feʻiteʻitaní mo e fetāufehiʻaʻaki he ngaahi vā fetuʻutaki fakapolitikalé mo e ngaahi tuʻutuʻuní. Naʻa tau ongoʻi ia ʻi he faʻahitaʻu māfana ko ʻení ʻi he ope atu ha niʻihi mei he laka fakahāhā ʻi he melinó ki ha ngaahi tōʻonga fulikivanu. ʻOku tau ongoʻi ia ʻi he ngaahi feʻauʻauhi lolotonga ʻe niʻihi ki he ngaahi lakanga fakapuleʻangá. Meʻapangó, kuo tō ki tuʻa ha niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi meʻá ni ʻo aʻu ki he ngaahi felauʻaki fakapolitikale mo e ngaahi lau taʻeʻofa ʻi heʻetau ngaahi fakatahaʻanga ʻi he Siasí.

Te tau fetōkehekeheʻaki maʻu pē ʻi ha puleʻanga fakatemokalati ʻi he kau kanititeití mo e ngaahi tuʻutuʻuní. Ka neongo ia, ʻi heʻetau hoko ko e kau muimui ʻo Kalaisí kuo pau ke tau tukuange ʻa e loto-ʻitá mo e tāufehiʻa ʻoku hoko ʻi he fekīhiaki pe tukuhifoʻi ʻo e ngaahi fili fakapolitikalé ʻi he ngaahi tūkunga lahi.

Malanga ʻi he Moʻungá

Ko e taha ʻeni ʻo e ngaahi akonaki hotau Fakamoʻuí, mahalo ʻoku ʻilo lahia kae tātāitaha ke fakahoko:

“Kuo mou fanongo naʻe lea pehē, Ke ke ʻofa ki ho kaungāʻapí, kae fehiʻa ki ho filí.

“Ka ʻoku ou tala atu kiate kimoutolu, ʻOfa ki homou ngaahi filí, tāpuakiʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻoku kapeʻi ʻa kimoutolú, fai lelei kiate kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate kimoutolú, pea hūfia ʻa kinautolu ʻoku fai kovi mo fakatanga kiate kimoutolú” (Mātiu 5:43–44). 1

Kuo laui toʻu tangata hono akoʻi ʻa e kau Siú ke nau fehiʻa ki honau ngaahi filí, he naʻa nau faingataʻaʻia ʻi he pule fakamālohi mo fakamamahi ʻa e kau Lomá. Ka naʻe akoʻi kinautolu ʻe Sīsū, ke “ʻofa ki homou ngaahi filí” pea “fai lelei kiate kinautolu ʻoku ngaohikovia kimoutolú.”

Ko e akonaki ʻa Sīsū ʻi he ongo ʻAmeliká

Ko ha ngaahi akonaki maʻongoʻonga ia ki he ngaahi vā fetuʻutaki fakatāutaha mo fakapolitikalé! Ka ko e meʻa ia ʻoku kei fekauʻi mai ʻe hotau Fakamoʻuí. ʻOku tau lau ʻi he Tohi ʻa Molomoná, “He ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni ʻoku ou pehē kiate kimoutolu, ko ia ia ʻokú ne maʻu ʻa e laumālie ʻo e fakakikihí ʻoku ʻikai ʻaʻaku ia, ka ʻoku ʻo e tēvoló ia, ʻa ia ko e tamai ʻa e fakakikihí, pea ʻokú ne ueʻi hake ʻa e loto ʻo e kakaí ke fefakakikihiʻaki ʻi he ʻita, ʻiate kinautolu” (3 Nīfai 11:29).

Ko e meʻamālié, ʻoku tau maʻu ʻa e sīpinga tonu ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ki he founga ke potupotutatau ai ʻEne ngaahi fono taʻengatá mo e ngaahi moʻoniʻi meʻa ʻo e ngaahi lao faʻu ʻe he tangatá. ʻI he taimi ne feinga ai ʻa e filí ke tauheleʻi Ia ʻaki ha fehuʻi pe ʻoku totonu nai ke totongi tukuhau ʻa e kau Siú ki Lomá, naʻá Ne tuhu ki he ʻīmisi ʻo Sisa naʻe tongi ʻi heʻenau paʻanga maká ʻo pehē, “Ko ia ʻatu kia Sisa ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ʻa Sisá, pea ki he ʻOtuá ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá” (Luke 20:25). 4

ʻOatu kia Sisa ʻa e Meʻa ʻa Sisá

Ko ia, ʻoku totonu ke tau talangofua ki he ngaahi lao ʻa e tangatá (ʻave kia Sisa) ke moʻui nonga ʻi he mafai fakapuleʻangá, pea tau talangofua ki he ngaahi fono ʻa e ʻOtuá ki hotau ikuʻanga taʻengatá. Ka ʻoku tau fakahoko fēfē nai ʻeni— tautautefito ki he founga ʻoku tau ako ai ke ʻofa ki hotau ngaahi filí?

Ko e ʻuluaki kamataʻanga leleí ʻa e akonaki ko ia ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ke ʻoua ʻe “fefakakikihiʻaki ʻi he ʻitá.” Ko e tēvoló ʻa e tamai ʻo e fakakikihí, pea ko ia ʻokú ne ueʻi ʻa e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá ke nau fefakakikihiʻaki ʻi he ʻitá. ʻOkú ne fakaʻaiʻai ʻa e loto-tāufehiʻá mo e ngaahi vā fetuʻutaki fetāufehiʻaʻaki ʻi he niʻihi fakafoʻituituí mo e ngaahi kulupú. Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Palesiteni Tōmasi S. Monisoni ko e ʻitá ko e “meʻangāue ʻa Sētane,” he “ko e ʻitá ko ʻete moʻulaloa ia ki he mālohi ʻo Sētané. He ʻikai lava ke fakaʻitaʻi kitautolu ʻe ha taha. Ko kitautolu pē ʻoku tau fili ke fai iá.” 5 Ko e ʻitá ʻa e hala ki he māvahevahé mo e fekainakí. ʻOku tau ʻunu atu ki hono ʻofaʻi hotau ngaahi filí ʻi heʻetau fakaʻehiʻehi mei he ʻitá mo e angakovi kiate kinautolu ʻoku ʻikai ke tau fakakaukau tataú. ʻOku tokoni foki kapau te tau loto moʻoni ke ako meiate kinautolu.

ʻOku kau ʻi he ngaahi founga kehe ke fakatupulaki ʻa e mālohi ke ʻofa ki he niʻihi kehé ʻa e founga faingofua naʻe fakamatalaʻi ʻi he ngaahi lea ʻo ha foʻi faiva hiva fuoloa. 6

Ko ha tokoni lahi ange ʻi he ako ke ʻofa ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku fakafepaki maí mo hotau ngaahi filí, ko e feinga ke mahino ʻa e mālohi ʻo e ʻofá.

Naʻe akonaki ʻa e Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá “ko ha lea fakaʻapaʻapa motuʻa ʻoku pehē ko e “ofá ʻoku fetongi ʻaki ʻa e ʻofa. Tau fakahoko atu muʻa ʻa e ʻofá—fakahaaʻi atu ʻetau angaʻofá ki he faʻahinga kotoa ʻo e tangatá.” 7

Naʻe akonaki ʻa Palesiteni Hauati W. Hanitā ʻo pehē: “ʻE ʻaonga lahi ki he māmani ʻoku tau nofo aí kapau ʻe maʻu ʻe he tangata mo e fefine ʻi he feituʻu kotoa pē ʻa e ʻofa haohaoa ʻa Kalaisí, ʻa ia ko e angaʻofa, angamalū, pea mo angavaivai. ʻOku ʻikai ha meheka pe hīkisia ai. … ʻOku ʻikai feinga ke maʻu mai ha meʻa ko ha fetongi. … ʻOku ʻikai ke ne tali ʻa e loto taʻe-fieauná, tāufehiʻá, pe fetāʻakí. … ʻOkú ne poupouʻi ʻa e nofo fakataha ha kakai kehekehe ʻi he ʻofa faka-Kalisitiané ʻo tatau ai pē pe ko e hā ʻenau tui fakalotú, matakalí, tangataʻi fonuá, tuʻunga fakapaʻangá, tuʻunga fakaakó, pe anga fakafonuá.” 8

Pea kuo kole mai ʻe Palesiteni Lāsolo M. Nalesoni ke tau, “fakalahi ʻetau ʻofá ke ne kāpui kotoa ʻa e fāmili ʻo e tangatá.” 9

Ko ha konga mahuʻinga ʻo e ʻofa ki hotau ngaahi filí ko e ʻave ʻa e meʻa ʻa Sisá ʻaki hono tauhi ʻa e ngaahi lao ʻo hotau ngaahi fonuá. Neongo naʻe liliu moʻui ʻa e ngaahi akonaki ʻa Sīsuú, ka naʻe ʻikai ke Ne akoʻi ʻa e liukavá pe maumau laó. Naʻá Ne akoʻi ha founga lelei ange. ʻOku akoʻi ʻe he fakahā ʻo onopōní ʻa e meʻa tatau:

“Tuku ke ʻoua naʻa maumauʻi ʻe ha tangata ʻa e ngaahi lao ʻo e fonuá, he ko ia ia ʻokú ne tauhi ʻa e ngaahi fono ʻa e ʻOtuá, ʻoku ʻikai ʻaonga ke ne maumauʻi ʻa e ngaahi lao ʻo e fonuá.

“Ko ia, ke mou fakaongoongo ki he kau pule ‘a ia ʻoku ʻi aí” (Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 58:21–22).

Pea ʻoku hā ʻi heʻetau tefito ʻo e tuí, naʻe tohi ʻe he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá hili hono kātekina ʻe he fuofua Kāingalotú ʻa e fakatanga lahi mei he kau maʻu mafai fakapuleʻanga ʻo Mīsulí, “ʻOku mau tui ʻoku totonu ke fakaongoongo ki he ngaahi tuʻi, kau palesiteni, kau pule, mo e kau fakamaau fakapuleʻanga, ʻi he talangofua, fakaʻapaʻapaʻi mo poupou ki he laó” (Ngaahi Tefito ʻo e Tui 1:12).

ʻOku ʻikai ʻuhinga ʻeni ʻoku tau loto-fiemālie ki he ngaahi meʻa kotoa ʻoku fai ʻe kinautolu ʻoku fakamālohiʻi ʻa e laó. ʻOku ʻuhinga ia ʻoku tau talangofua ki he lao lolotongá mo fakaʻaongaʻi ha ngaahi founga melino ke liliu ʻaki ia. ʻOku ʻuhinga foki ia ʻoku tau tali loto-fiemālie ʻa e ola ʻo e ngaahi fili [fakapuleʻangá]. He ʻikai ke tau kau ʻi he ngaahi fetāʻaki ʻoku fai ʻe kinautolu ʻoku loto-mamahi ʻi he ola ʻo e filí.

ʻOku makatuʻunga ʻa e akonaki ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ke ʻofa ki hotau ngaahi filí mei he foʻi moʻoni ko ia ko e kakai matelie kotoa pē ko e fānau ʻofeina kinautolu ʻa e ʻOtuá. Naʻe siviʻi ʻa e tefitoʻi moʻoni taʻengata ko iá mo e ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni mahuʻinga ʻe niʻihi ʻo e laó ʻi he ngaahi fakahāhāloto kimuí ni ʻi he ngaahi kolo lahi ʻo ʻAmeliká.

Fakahāhāloto ʻi he melino

Naʻe ʻi ai ha taimi naʻe tōtuʻa ai, pea hangē kuo ngalo ia ʻi ha niʻihi ʻa hono fakapapauʻi mai ʻe he ʻUluaki Liliu ki he Konisitūtone ʻa e ʻIunaiteti Siteití ʻa e “totonu ʻa e kakaí ke nau fakatahataha ʻi he melino, pea ke fai ha tohi tangi ki he Puleʻangá ki ha fakatonutonu ʻo ha ngaahi meʻa ʻoku nau mamahi ai.” Ko e founga ia kuo fakamafaiʻi ke fakahā ki he kakaí pea tukutaha ʻa e tokangá ki he ngaahi meʻa taʻetotonu ʻi he faʻunga pe tokangaʻi ʻo e ngaahi laó. Pea kuo ʻi ai ha ngaahi meʻa taʻetotonu. ʻOku hā mei he ngaahi tōʻonga ʻa e kakaí pea mo hotau ngaahi ʻulungaanga fakatāutahá, kuo tau laulanu mo e ngaahi loto-mamahi ʻoku fekauʻaki mo iá. Kuo fakamanatu mai kiate kitautolu ʻi ha ʻēsei ko ha kole fakatāutaha ʻa Faifekau Telesa A. Tia ʻo e Kautaha Fakafonua ki hono Paotoloaki ʻo e Kakai Lanu [Kehé] (NAACP) ʻa e “tupulaki ʻo e laulanú ʻi he fetāufehiʻaʻakí, fakaaoaó, tukunoaʻí, taʻetokaʻí mo e fakalongolongoʻí.” 11 ʻI heʻetau hoko ko e tangataʻi fonua mo e fefineʻi fonua pea mo e kāingalotu ʻo e Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi ʻo e Kau Māʻoniʻoni ʻi he Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní, kuo pau ke tau tokoni lelei ange ke fakangata fakaʻaufuli ʻa e laulanú.

Fakamoveuveu taʻe-fakalao

Ko e meʻa ʻe taha ne tōtuʻá, naʻe hangē ne ngalo ʻi he niʻihi tokosiʻi naʻa nau kau mo poupouʻi ʻa e ngaahi laka fakahāhālotó mo e ngaahi tōʻonga taʻefakalao ne muiaki aí, ko e ngaahi fakahāhāloto ʻoku maluʻi ʻe he Konisitūtoné ʻoku melino. ʻOku ʻikai ha totonu ʻa e kau fakahāhālotó ke fakaʻauha, tohitohiʻi, pe kaihaʻasi ha koloa pe uesia ʻa e mālohi fakalao ʻa e kau polisi ʻa e puleʻangá. ʻOku ʻikai ʻasi ʻi he Konisitūtoné mo e laó ha fakaafe ki ha liukava pe fakaehaua. ʻOku totonu ke mahino kiate kitautolu hono kotoa—polisí, kau fakahāhālotó, kau poupoú, mo e kau mamatá—ʻa e fakangatangata ʻo ʻetau totonú pea mo e mahuʻinga hotau fatongia ke nofo ʻi loto he ngataʻanga ʻo e lao lolotongá. Naʻe tonu pē hono tala ʻe ʻĒpalahame Lingikoni ʻo pehē: “ʻOku ʻikai totonu ia ke fakatonutonu ha loto mamahi ʻaki ʻa e fakamoveuveu ʻa e kakaí.” 12 Ko e fakatonutonu ʻo e loto mamahí ʻaki ʻa e fakamoveuveu ʻa e kakaí ko ha fakatonutonu ia ʻi he founga taʻefakalao.

Ko e taha ʻo e ʻuhinga ne fakaʻohovale ai ki ha niʻihi tokolahi ʻa e fakahāhāloto kimuí ni mai ʻi he ʻIunaiteti Siteití ko e fetāʻaki mo e maumau lao ko ia naʻe ongoʻi ʻe he ngaahi matakali kehekehe ʻi he ngaahi puleʻanga kehé ka naʻe ʻikai totonu ke ongo ia ʻi he ʻIunaiteti Siteití. ʻOku totonu ke lelei ange ʻa e fonuá ni ʻi hono fakangata ʻa e laulanú, ʻo ʻikai ngata pē ki he kakai ʻUliʻuli ʻo ʻAmeliká, ʻa ia naʻe ʻilonga ʻenau ngaahi fakahāhāloto kimuí ni maí, kae pehē foki ki he kau Latiná, ʻĒsiá, mo e ngaahi kulupu kehé. ʻOku ʻikai fakafiefia ʻa e hisitōlia ʻo e fonuá ni ʻi he laulanú pea kuo pau ke tau failelei ange kitautolu.

Naʻe kamataʻi ʻa e ʻIunaiteti Siteití ʻe ha kakai ne hikifonua mai mei ha ngaahi fonua kehekehe mo e matakali kehekehe. Naʻe ʻikai ko hono taumuʻa fakalūkufuá ke fokotuʻu ha faʻahinga tui fakalotu pau pe fakatolonga ha faʻahinga anga fakafonua kehekehe pe mateakiʻi ha matakali pē ʻe taha mei he ngaahi fonua motuʻá. Naʻe fekumi hotau toʻu tangata naʻa nau kamataʻí ke fakatahatahaʻi [ʻa e kakaí] ʻaki ha konisitūtone mo ha ngaahi lao foʻou. ʻOku ʻikai ʻuhinga ia ke pehē ne haohaoa ʻetau ngaahi lao ke tau taha aí pe ko e mahino he taimi ko iá ki honau ngaahi fakaʻuhingá.

Naʻe toki fakamanatu mai ʻe ha ongo ako mataotao mei he ʻUnivēsiti Eilí:

Ka ko e meʻa mahuʻingá ʻa hono mateakiʻi ʻo e konisitūtoné. Kuo pau ke tau tuʻu fakataha ʻi hono poupouʻi ʻo e Konisitūtoné, neongo ʻa e kehekehe ʻetau ngaahi fakakaukaú.” 13

ʻI he ngaahi taʻu lahi kuohilí, naʻe fai ai ʻe ha sekelitali ki muli ʻa Pilitānia ʻa e faleʻi mahuʻinga ko ʻení ʻi ha femeʻaʻaki ʻi he Fale Aleá: “ʻOku ʻikai ke ʻi ai hatau ngaahi kaungāmeʻa ʻoku taʻengata pea ʻoku ʻikai ke ʻi ai hatau ngaahi filituʻuloa. Ko ʻetau ngaahi fiemaʻú ʻoku taʻengata mo tuʻuloá, pea ko hotau fatongiá ke muimuiʻi ʻa e ngaahi fiemaʻu ko ʻení.” 14

Ko ha foʻi ʻuhinga fakaemāmani lelei ia ki hono muimuiʻi ʻo e ngaahi fiemaʻu “taʻengata mo tuʻuloá” ʻi he ngaahi meʻa fakapolitikalé. Ko e mateakiʻi ʻo e lao kuo fokotuʻú kae ʻikai ko e “ngaahi kaungāmeʻa” fakataimí ʻa e founga lelei taha ke ʻofa ai kiate kinautolu ʻoku fakafepaki maí mo hotau ngaahi filí ʻi heʻetau feinga ki he uouangatahá neongo hotau faikehekehé.
