Maʻa he Fakatomalá

Koeʻuhí ko e palani ʻa e ʻOtuá mo e Fakalelei ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻe lava ke tau maʻa tuʻunga ʻi he founga ngāue ʻo e fakatomalá.

ʻOku tau moʻulaloa ʻi he moʻui fakamatelié ki he ngaahi lao ʻa e tangatá mo e fono ʻa e ʻOtuá. Kuó u maʻu e ʻausia hāhāmolofia ʻo hono fakamāuʻi e hia lalahí ʻo fakatatau ki he ongo laó ni—ʻi heʻeku hoko ko ha fakamaau pea ʻi heʻeku hoko he taimí ni ko ha mēmipa ʻo e Kau Palesitenisī ʻUluaki ʻo e Siasí. Kuo fakalahi ʻeku houngaʻia ki hono moʻoni mo e mālohi ʻo e Fakalelei ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí ʻi he faikehekehe kuó u aʻusia ʻi he lao ʻa e tangatá mo e fono ʻa e ʻOtuá. Fakatatau ki he ngaahi lao ʻa e tangatá ko ha taha ʻoku halaia ʻi he ngaahi hia mamafa tahá ʻe lava ke tautea ke ngāue pōpula ki he mate pea ʻikai ha ʻamanaki ʻe ʻatā vave mei he pilīsoné. Ka ʻoku kehekehe ia mo e palani angaʻofa ʻa ha Tamai Hēvani ʻofa. Kuó u fakamoʻoniʻi ʻoku malava ke fakamolemoleʻi ʻa e ngaahi angahala mamafa ʻi he moʻuí ni koeʻuhí ko e feilaulau fakalelei ʻa hotau Fakamoʻuí maʻá e ngaahi angahala “[ʻa kinautolu] kotoa pē ʻoku maʻu ʻa e loto mafesifesi mo e laumālie fakatomalá” (2 Nīfai 2:7). Huhuʻi ʻa Kalaisí, pea ʻoku moʻoni ʻa ʻEne Fakaleleí.

ʻOku fakahaaʻi mai e manavaʻofa angaʻofa ʻa hotau Fakamoʻuí ʻi he himi ʻiloa ne toki hivaʻi ʻe he kuaeá.

Haʻu kia Sīsū; te Ne maluʻi,

Mei he vanu ʻo e poʻulí.

Te Ne ʻofaʻi pea Ne tataki

Mei he fakapoʻulí.1

ʻOku fakaava ʻe he feilaulau fakalelei ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí e matapā ki he “kakai kotoa pē [ke] fakatomala pea haʻu kiate ia” (Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 18:11; vakai foki Maʻake 3:28; 1 Nīfai 10:18; ʻAlamā 34:8, 16). Ne fakahā ʻe he tohi ʻa ʻAlamaá e fakatomala mo hono fakamolemoleʻi ʻo e kakai angakovi mo lilingi totó (vakai, ʻAlamā 25:16; 27:27, 30). Ko ʻeku pōpoaki he ʻaho ní ko ha ʻamanaki lelei maʻatautolu kotoa, kau ai ʻa kinautolu kuo mole ʻenau mēmipasipi ʻi he Siasí ʻaki hono tuʻusi pe toʻo e hingoá. Ko e kau angahala kotoa pē kitautolu ka ʻe lava ke tau maʻa ʻi he fakatomalá. “Ne akoʻi ʻe ʻEletā Nalesoni ʻi ha konifelenisi lahi kimuʻa atu,” ʻOku ʻikai ke faingofua e fakatomala mei he angahalá.” “Ka ʻoku feʻunga hono totongí mo e mahuʻingá.”2

I. Fakatomala

ʻOku kamata e fakatomalá mei hotau Fakamoʻuí, ʻoku maʻu ai e fiefiá, ʻo ʻikai ke fakamafasia. ʻI ha fakataha lotu ʻi he Kilisimasi ʻi Tīsema kuo ʻosí, naʻe akoʻi mai ʻe Palesiteni Nalesoni: “Ko e fakatomalá ʻoku ʻikai ko ha meʻa ʻoku hoko tuʻo taha. Ko ha faingamālie ia ʻoku ʻikai hano ngataʻanga. ʻOku mahuʻinga ia ki he tupulakí pea mo hono maʻu ha ʻatamai nonga, fiemālie, mo fiefia.”3

Ko e niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi akonaki lelei taha ki he fakatomalá ʻoku maʻu ʻia ʻAlamā he Tohi ʻa Molomoná ʻa ia naʻá ne fakamatalaʻi kimui ko e nofo ʻi ha tuʻunga ʻo e “fuʻu taʻetui lahi,” “fielahi ʻi he … hikisia,” pea tuku e lotó ʻi he “ngaahi koloa pea mo e ngaahi meʻa taʻeʻaonga ʻo e māmaní” (ʻAlamā 7:6). ʻOku lahi e meʻa ke ako ʻe he mēmipa takitaha ʻo e Siasi kuo fakafoki maí mei he ngaahi akonaki fakalaumālie ʻa ʻAlamaá.

ʻOku tau kamata ʻaki e tui kia Sīsū Kalaisí, koeʻuhí “ko ia ia ʻe hāʻele mai ke ʻave ʻa e ngaahi angahala ʻa māmaní” (ʻAlamā 5:48). Kuo pau ke tau fakatomala ʻo hangē ko e akonaki ʻa ʻAlamaá, “kapau ʻe ʻikai te mou fakatomala ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito te mou lava ʻo maʻu ʻa e puleʻanga ʻo e langí” (ʻAlamā 5:51). Ko e fakatomalá ko e konga mahuʻinga ia ʻo e palani ʻa e ʻOtuá. Koeʻuhi ʻe fai angahala kotoa ʻi he moʻui fakamatelié pea kapusi mei he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá, he ʻikai lava “ke fakamoʻui” e tangatá taʻe fakatomala (ʻAlamā 5:31; vakai foki, Hilamani 12:22).

Ne akoʻi ʻeni talu mei he kamataʻangá. Ne fekauʻi ʻe he ʻEikí kia ʻĀtama, “Akoʻi ia ki hoʻo fānaú, kuo pau ke fakatomala ʻa e kakai kotoa pē, ʻi he feituʻu kotoa pē, pe ʻe ʻikai te nau teitei lava ʻo maʻu ʻa e puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá, he ʻoku ʻikai ke lava ʻo nofo ʻi ai ha meʻa ʻoku taʻe-maʻa, pe nofo ʻi hono ʻaó” (Mōsese 6:57). Kuo pau ke tau fakatomala mei heʻetau ngaahi angahalá kotoa—ʻa ʻetau ngāué kotoa pe meʻa ne totonu ke tau fai kae ʻikai faí ʻa ia ʻoku fepaki mo e ngaahi fekau ʻa e ʻOtuá. ʻOku ʻikai ha taha ʻe ʻatā mei ai. Ne fakatukupaaʻi kitautolu ʻe Palesiteni Nalesoni ʻaneefiafi: ““Ngaahi Tokoua, ʻoku fie maʻu ke tau fakatomala kotoa.”4

Ke maʻa ʻi he fakatomalá, kuo pau ke tau vete ʻetau angahalá ki he ʻEikí pea siʻaki ia pea ki Heʻene tokotaha fakamaau ʻi he māmaní ʻo ka fie maʻu (vakai, Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 58:43). Ne akoʻi foki ʻe ʻAlamā kuo pau ke tau “fai ʻa e ngaahi ngāue ʻo e māʻoniʻoní” (ʻAlamā 5:35 Ko e kotoa ʻo e ngaahi meʻá ni ko e konga ia ʻo e fakaafe fakafolofola maʻu pē ke haʻu kia Kalaisí.

ʻOku fie maʻu ke tau maʻu e sākalamēnití he ʻaho Sāpate kotoa pē. ʻOku tau fai ʻi he ouau ko iá ha ngaahi fuakava mo maʻu e ngaahi tāpuaki ʻe tokoni ke tau ikunaʻi e ngaahi ngāue mo e ngaahi holi kotoa pē ʻoku nau taʻofi kitautolu mei he moʻui haohaoa ʻoku fakaafeʻi mai ʻe hotau Fakamoʻuí ke tau maʻú (vakai, Mātiu 5:483 Nīfai 12:48 ʻI heʻetau “fakafisi ʻa [kitautolu] mei he anga taʻe māʻoniʻoni kotoa pē, pea ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá ʻaki [hotau] iví, ʻatamai, mo e mālohi kotoa pē,” ʻe toki malava ke tau “haohaoa ʻia Kalaisi” mo “fakamāʻoniʻoniʻi” ʻi he lilingi Hono taʻataʻá ke “hoko ʻo māʻoniʻoni, taʻe ha ʻila” (Molonai 10:32–33). Ko ha talaʻofa nāunauʻia moʻoni! Ko ha mana fakaofo ia! He toki tāpuaki moʻoni ʻeni!

II. Haʻisia mo e Fakamaau Fakamatelié

Ko e taha e taumuʻa ʻo e palani ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he aʻusia fakamatelié ni ko hono “siviʻi” kitautolu “ke vakai pe te [tau] fai ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻe fekau ʻe he ʻEiki ko [hotau] ʻOtuá kiate [kitautolu]” (ʻĒpalahame 3:25).

ʻI he Siasi ʻo e ʻEikí, ʻoku tokangaʻi ʻe he kau takí ʻaki ʻenau fekumi ki ha fakahinohino fakalangi ki he ngaahi fakamaau fakamatelie maʻá e kau mēmipá pe teuteu ke hoko ko e kau mēmipá. Ko honau fatongiá ia ke fakamāuʻi ʻa e kakai ʻoku nau fekumi ke haʻu kia Kalaisi ke maʻu ʻa e mālohi ʻo ʻEne Fakaleleí ʻi he hala ʻo e fuakavá ki he moʻui taʻengatá. ʻOku fakapapauʻi ʻe he fakamaau fakamatelié pe ʻoku mateuteu ʻa e tokotaha ko iá ki he papitaisó. ʻOku taau nai e tokotahá ni ke ne maʻu ha lekomeni temipale? Kuo feʻunga nai e fakatomala ʻa e tokotaha ko ʻeni kuo toʻo hono hingoá mei he lekooti ʻa e Siasí ʻo fakafou ʻi he Fakalelei ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí ke toe papitaiso ʻo fakafoki mai?

ʻI he taimi ʻoku tali ai ʻe ha fakamaau fakamatelie ne uiuiʻi ʻe he ʻOtuá ha taha ki ha fakalakalaka lahi angé, hangē ko e faingamālie ki he temipalé, ʻoku ʻikai ke ne fakamahino ai ʻoku haohaoa e tokotaha ko iá, pea ʻoku ʻikai foki ke ne fakamolemoleʻi ʻe ia ha faʻahinga angahala. Ne akoʻi ʻe ʻEletā Sipenisā W. Kimipolo ko e hili ko ia “[hono] toʻo ʻo e ngaahi tauteá” mei he tokotaha fakamatelié “kuo pau ke toe fekumi [e tokotahá] mo maʻu mei he ʻOtua ʻo e langí e fakatomala aofangatukú, he ko Ia pē te ne lava ke fakamolemoleʻi e angahalá.”5 Pea kapau he ʻikai ke fakatomalaʻi e ngaahi ngāue mo e holi koví ʻo aʻu ki he Fakamaau Fakaʻosí, ʻe kei taʻe-maʻa ai pē ha taha ne ʻikai ke fakatomala. Ko e haʻisia taupotu tahá, ʻoku kau ai e ngāue fakaʻosi ke maʻa ʻi he fakatomalá, ʻoku fakahoko ia ʻi he vahaʻa ʻo kitautolu takitaha mo e ʻOtuá.

III. Ko e Toetuʻú mo e Fakamaau Fakaʻosí

Ko e fakamaau angamaheni taha ʻoku fakamatalaʻi ʻe he folofolá ko e Fakamaau Fakaʻosí ʻi he hili ʻa e Toetuʻú (vakai, 2 Nīfai 9:15). ʻOku fakamatalaʻi ʻe ha ngaahi potufolofola lahi “te tau tutuʻu kotoa pē ʻi he fakamaauʻanga ʻo Kalaisí” (Loma14:10; vakai foki 2 Nīfai 9:15; Mōsaia 27:31) “ke fakmāuʻi ʻo fakatatau ki he ngaahi ngāue [kuo] fai ʻi he sino-faʻa-maté” (ʻAlamā 5:15; see also Fakahā 20:12; ʻAlamā 41:3; 3 Nīfai 26:4). ʻE fakamāuʻi e taha kotoa ʻo “fakatatau ki heʻenau ngaahi ngāué” (3 Nīfai 27:15) pea “fakatatau ki he [ngaahi] holi ʻo honau lotó” (Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 137:9; vakai foki, ʻAlamā 41:6).

ʻE fakahā ʻe he taha kotoa “ʻoku totonu ʻa ʻene ngaahi fakamāú” (Mōsaia 16:1vakai foki Mōsaia 27:31; ʻAlamā 12:15), he ʻokú Ne ʻafioʻi ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē (vakai 2 Nīfai 9:15, 20)ʻo Ne maʻu ai ha ʻilo haohaoa ki heʻetau ngāue mo e holi kotoa pē, ʻoku māʻoniʻoní pe fakatomalaʻí mo ia ʻoku taʻe māʻoniʻoni pe ʻikai ke fakatomalaʻí pe ʻikai fai ha liliú.

Naʻe fakamatalaʻi ʻe he folofolá ʻa e founga ngāue ʻo e Fakamaau Fakaʻosi ko ʻení. ʻOku akoʻi ʻe ʻAlamā ko e fakamaau totonu ko ia ʻa hotau ʻOtuá ʻoku fie maʻu ʻi he Toetuʻú “ke fakafoki ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ki honau anga totonú.” (ʻAlamā 41:2). ʻOku ʻuhinga ʻeni “kapau naʻe lelei ʻenau ngaahi ngāué ʻi he moʻuí ni, pea naʻe lelei mo e ngaahi holi ʻa honau lotó, … [ʻe] toe fakafoki ʻa kinautolu foki ʻi he ʻaho fakaʻosí, ki he meʻa ʻoku leleí” (ʻAlamā 41:3). ʻI hono fakalea ʻe tahá, “Kapau kuo kovi ʻa ʻenau ngaahi ngāué [pe ko ʻenau ngaahi holí] ʻe fakafoki kiate kinautolu [ʻa e] kovi” (ʻAlamā 41:4–5; vakai foki Hilamani 14:31). Ne pehē pē hono akoʻi ʻe he palōfita ko Sēkopé ʻi he Fakamaau Fakaʻosí “ʻe māʻoniʻoni ai pē ʻa kinautolu ʻoku māʻoniʻoní, pea ʻe ʻuli ai pē ʻa kinautolu ʻoku ʻulí” (2 Nīfai 9:16; vakai foki Molomona 9:14; 1 Nīfai 15:33). Ko e founga ngāue ia kimuʻá ʻa ia ʻoku ui ʻe Molonai ko e “fakamaau lelei ʻo [e ʻEiki] māfimafí, ko e Fakamaau Taʻengata ʻo e moʻuí mo e maté fakatouʻosi” (Molonai 10:34; vakai foki 3 Nīfai 27:16).

Ke fakapapauʻi kuo pau ke tau maʻa ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá, kuo pau ke tau fakatomala kimuʻa ʻi he Fakamaau Fakaʻosí (vakai, Molomona 3:22). Hangē ko e meʻa ne tala ʻe ʻAlamā ki hono foha faiangahalá, he ʻikai ke tau lava ʻo fufuuʻi ʻetau ngaahi angahalá mei he ʻOtuá, “pea ka ʻikai te ke fakatomala te nau tuʻu ko ha fakamoʻoni ke talatalaakiʻi koe ʻi he ʻaho fakaʻosí” (ʻAlamā 39:8; toki tānaki ʻa e fakamamafá). Ne ʻomi ʻe he Fakalelei ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí kiate kitautolu e founga pē taha ke maʻu ai e maʻá ʻi he fakatomalá, pea ke tau fai ia ʻi he moʻui fakamatelié ni. Neongo ʻoku akoʻi mai ʻe ʻi ai e fakatomala ʻe toki lava ke fai ʻi he maama tataliʻanga ʻo e ngaahi laumālié (vakai, Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 138:31, 33, 58), ka ʻoku ʻikai ke pau ia. Ne akoʻi ʻe ʻEletā Melevini J. Pālati: “ʻOku faingofua ange ke ikunaʻi mo tauhi ki he ʻEikí he taimi ʻoku taha ai e kakanó mo e laumālié. Ko e taimi ʻeni ʻoku faingofua ange hono tākiekina mo hono uesia e tangatá mo e fefiné. .... Ko e moʻuí ni ko e taimi ia ke fakatomala aí.”6

ʻI he taimi ʻoku tau fakatomala aí, ʻoku tau maʻu leva e fakapapau mei he ʻEikí ko ʻetau ngaahi angahalá, kau ai ʻetau ngaahi ngāue mo e holí, ʻe maʻa ia pea ko hotau fakamaau aofangatuku angaʻofá he ʻikai te ne “toe manatu ki ai.” (Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 58:42; vakai foki, ʻĪsaia 1:18; Selemaia 31:34; Hepelū 8:12; ʻAlamā 41:6; Hilamani 14:18–19). ʻI heʻetau maʻa tuʻunga ʻi he fakatomalá, ʻoku lava ke tau taau ai mo e moʻui taʻengatá, ʻa ia naʻe fakamatalaʻi ʻe he Tuʻi ko Penisimaní ko e “nofo mo e ʻOtuá ʻi he tuʻunga fiefia ʻoku ʻikai hano ngataʻanga” (Mōsaia 2:41vakai foki, Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 14:7).

ʻI heʻene hoko ko e konga ʻe taha ʻo e palani [ʻa e ʻOtuá] ki he fakafokí” (ʻAlamā 41:2 ʻe hanga ʻe he Toetuʻú ʻo fakafoki “ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē … ki honau anga totonu mo haohaoá” (ʻAlamā 40:23). ʻOku kau heni ʻa e fakahaohaoaʻi ʻetau ngaahi tōnounoú mo e ngaahi mele fakatuʻasino kau ai hono fāʻeleʻí pe ʻi he lotomamahi pe mahamahakí.

ʻOku hanga nai ʻe he fakafoki ko ʻení ʻo fakahaohaoaʻi ʻetau ngaahi holi taʻe mapuleʻí pe maʻunimaá? He ʻikai ke lava ia. ʻOku tau ʻilo mei he fakahā fakaonopōní ʻe fakamāuʻi kitautolu mei heʻetau ngaahi holípea pehē foki ki heʻetau ngaahi ngāué (vakai, ʻAlamā 41:5; Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 137:9) pea naʻa mo ʻetau ngaahi fakakaukaúte nau fakahalaʻiaʻi kitautolu (vakai, ʻAlamā 12:4). Kuo pau ke ʻoua naʻa tau “toloi ʻa e ʻaho ʻo [ʻetau] fakatomalá” ke aʻu ki he maté, he naʻe akoʻi ʻe ʻAlamā (ʻAlamā 34:33), koeʻuhí ko e laumālie tatau pē ko ia ʻokú ne puleʻi hotau sinó ʻi he moʻui ní—ʻo tatau ai pē pe ko e ʻEikí pe ko e tēvoló—te ne “maʻu ha mālohi ke puleʻi [hotau] sinó ʻi he maama taʻengata ko iá” (ʻAlamā 34:34). ʻOku maʻu ʻe hotau Fakamoʻuí ha mālohi pea tuʻu mateuteu ke fakamaʻa kitautolu mei he koví. Ko e taimi ʻeni ke fekumi ai ki Heʻene tokoní ke tau fakatomala mei heʻetau angahalá pe ngaahi holi koví pea ko e ngaahi fakakaukaú ke maʻa mo mateuteu ke tuʻu ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻi he Fakamaau Fakaʻosí.

IV. Ko e Toʻukupu ʻo e ʻAloʻofá

ʻOku kāpui ʻe he ʻofa ʻa e ʻOtuá kiate kitautolu takitaha ʻa ʻEne palani mo ʻEne ngaahi fekaú ʻa ia ʻoku “lelei taha ia ʻi he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē … pea ʻoku fakafiefia taha ia ki he laumālié” (1 Nīfai 11:22–23). Ne fakapapauʻi ʻe he palōfita ko ʻĪsaiá naʻa mo e angakoví ko e taimi ko ia te nau “foki [ai] ki [he ʻEikí] … te Ne ʻaloʻofa … [pea] fakamolemole ʻo lahi ʻaupito” (ʻĪsaia 55:7). Ne akoʻi ʻe ʻAlamā, “Vakai, ʻokú ne ʻoatu ha fakaafe ki he kakai fulipē, he kuo mafao atu ʻa e toʻukupu ʻo e ʻaloʻofá kiate kinautolu” (ʻAlamā 5:33; vakai foki 2 Nīfai 26:25–33). Naʻe folofola ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ʻo pehē, “Vakai, ʻoku mafao atu hoku nima ʻo e ʻaloʻofá kiate kimoutolu, pea ko ia ia ʻe haʻú, te u maʻu ia” (3 Nīfai 9:14). ʻOku tau ʻilo mei he ngaahi meʻá ni mo e ngaahi akonaki fakafolofola kehe lahi, ʻoku mafao mai ʻe hotau Fakamoʻui ʻofá Hono toʻukupú ke maʻu e tangata mo e fefine kotoa ʻi he ngaahi tūkunga ʻo e ʻofa kuó Ne fakahinohino mai ke tau fiefia ʻi he ngaahi tāpuaki maʻongoʻonga ʻoku maʻu ʻe he ʻOtuá maʻa ʻEne fānaú.7

ʻOku talaʻofa mai kiate kitautolu “kapau te [tau] vilitaki atu, pea keinanga ‘i he folofola ‘a Kalaisí, pea kātaki ki he ngataʻangá, vakai, ‘oku folofola ‘e he Tamaí: Te mou maʻu ‘a e moʻui taʻengatá” (2 Nīfai 31:20). Fakatauange te tau fai kotoa ia, ko ʻeku kolé ia mo ʻeku lotú, ʻi he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻēmeni.
