Jesus Goes Back to His Father

Serving His disciples before He leaves

Jesus had taught the people His gospel. He had taught them to love God and serve each other. Soon, Jesus would go back to His Father. He asked the disciples to keep teaching the people after He was gone.

Before He left, Jesus asked each of His disciples what they would like Him to do for them. Most of the disciples said they wanted to live with Jesus after they were done serving Him on earth. Jesus promised them that they would live with Him after they died.

Three of the disciples were sad because they were too worried to tell Jesus what they wanted. But Jesus knew what they wanted from Him. They wanted to live until the Savior’s Second Coming so they could help more people come to Jesus.

Jesus promised them that they would not die. They would stay on earth and help people come to Him until His Second Coming.

Jesus touched each disciple with His finger except the three who wanted to stay. Then Jesus left and went back to Heavenly Father.

After this, the heavens opened and the three disciples were taken up into heaven. They saw and heard many amazing things and were told not to speak about them. Their bodies were also changed so they would not die or feel pain.

The disciples came back and continued to teach the people about Jesus. The people wanted to follow Jesus and were baptized into His Church. The love of God was in their hearts, and they shared everything they had with each other. They were happy, and God blessed them. Everyone lived in peace for almost 200 years.
