Ko ha Kiʻi Tokoni Lahi Ange

Naʻe ongo fakalata ange e hui ia ʻo e tainasoá ʻi he kalasi ako leá.

Naʻe pehē ange ʻe Misi Senikini, “ʻĀleki, kuo taimi ke ke ʻalu ki he kalasi ako leá.”

Naʻe punou ʻa ʻĀleki. Ko e kalasi ako leá ko ha kalasi makehe ia naʻe ʻalu ki ai. Naʻe faingataʻa ʻene puʻaki ha ngaahi lea mo ha ongo ʻe niʻihi. Naʻe feinga ʻa ʻĀleki ke ne malimali, ka naʻe ʻikai ke ne lava. Naʻá ne lue māmālie ki he lokiako ako leá. Naʻa nau toutou puʻaki ʻa e ongo tatau pē ʻi he kalasí. Naʻe mei fakalata ange ʻa e ako ia ki he fanga tainasoá.

Naʻá ne talaange ki he faiako ako leá, “ʻOku ou fehiʻa hono toutou puʻaki e ngaahi ongo maumautaimi ko ʻení. ʻOku ou ongoʻi au hangē ha kiʻi pēpeé.”

Naʻá ne talaange, “ʻOku ʻikai ko ha pēpē koe. ʻOku tau faʻa fiemaʻu kotoa pē ha kiʻi tokoni lahi ange. Naʻá ke ʻiloʻi naʻá ku kau pē mo au ʻi he kalasi ako leá ʻi heʻeku taʻu tatau mo koé?”

Naʻe kiʻi ongoʻi fiemālie ange ai ʻa ʻĀleki. Naʻá ne ngāue mālohi he toenga ʻo e kalasí ke puʻaki ʻene ngaahi ongó.

ʻI he foki ʻa ʻĀleki ki he lokiako ʻa Misi Senikiní, naʻá ne sio ki he mavahe hono kaungāmeʻa ko Kotinií.

“Naʻá ke fai ia?”

Naʻá ne fehuʻi ange, “Ko e hā ne ʻikai ke u ʻilo aí?”

Naʻe talaange ʻe Kotinī, “He ʻikai ke u teitei fakakata ʻaki koe. ʻOku ou fiefia hoʻo foki kei taimi mai ʻo sio ki he hui tainasoá. ʻOku fakalata moʻoni ia!” Naʻá ne taʻataʻalo ange. “Te u ʻalu. Ta toki sio.”

Ne ʻikai fuoloa kuo ʻilo ʻe ʻĀleki naʻe ʻikai ko ia pē mo Kotinī naʻe ʻalu ki he ngaahi kalasi kehé. Naʻe ʻalu ʻa Tomi ki ha kalasi ke tokoniʻi ia ke ne ako ha ngaahi taukei fakasōsiale lelei ange. Pea naʻe ngāue ʻa Peika mo ha faiako makehe ke tokoniʻi hono nimá ke mālohi ange hili ʻene laveá.
